Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Northamptonshire

This is the third time I've stayed in Katherine's 'shepherd's hut'. It is a beautifully situated, cosy and peaceful retreat from which to explore Oxford. Katherine is a great host, friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. I'm sure I'll be back for a fourth time soon.

We stayed for our mini honeymoon, it was just perfect! We were allowed to bring our small dog to, which just made it even more special. The area was so peaceful and beautiful. The hut itself was great, cute little features and very clean. The bath outside was brilliant. We would stay here again!

We had a lovely stay in the shepherds huts with our daughter. She loved the bunk beds to sleep in and enjoyed the camping like experience. We played scrabble in the evenings in the kitchen and she had lots of fun doing lots of handstands on the grass out the front of the huts! We then had a lovely walk along the foot path just down the road. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something wholesome.

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

Everything was just perfect. Very easy checkin, clear instructions on how to use everything, beautifully furnished with great amenities, loved that we could buy local produce too. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be at one with nature and have a few days to switch off. We will definitely be back!!

Very close to, just 15 minutes, but out of the sprawl of Oxford; in beautiful farmland with fabulous walks and charming pubs, rivers for dipping into. Beautifully decorated space with everything one needs, quietly located in the corner of a field. Really comfortable bed with cushions, perfect place to read, with good light and a window. Recommend local-ish Mason Arms for relaxed coffee and papers. Good shower and thoughtful makeup mirrors in communal bathroom. Very quick response (booked hours before!) and kind and welcoming welcome.

I booked this for my parents in law and Sue was brilliant. Very warm and welcoming and was happy for us to visit them as much as we liked. Beautiful garden with beautiful views, will definitely be booking again.

Catriona was a superb host! we really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful shepherds hut, the picture don’t do it justice. It’s full of character right down to the last detail and it’s so well equipped you have everything you could possibly need and more. We loved the fact it was dog friendly and had the little things you could need for your furry friends! The hut is so private and had a fantastic garden space (very secure if you have dogs), including a lovely outside dinning area with a BBQ and pizza oven. We will definitely be back!!

An elegant, well appointed, beautifully crafted shepherd's hut, with a lovely view, horses moseying by, songbirds galore. Felt like I was in a Gainsbourgh painting! The cabin is so pretty, cozy, bed comfy, shower great. The fridge was stocked with brekkie AND, such a gift-- homemade bread! Clive had great suggestions of things to do, I had an idyllic stay, and plan to go back to see more--but also just To Be in such a lovely, relaxing, peaceful place!

A perfect countryside escape! My partner and I recently stayed at the sheep shed and had such a fantastic experience. The hut was cozy, clean and thoughtfully designed - everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the little touches made it feel extra special. The location was perfect for a quiet getaway. Surrounded by nature, it was incredibly relaxing to sit outside with a coffee in the morning or stargaze at night. It felt remote and private, but still accessible to local walks and nearby villages/pubs. The hosts were very helpful and check in was smooth and easy, you could tell they’d put a lot of care into creating a warm, inviting space. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful rural setting. We will definitely be coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The hut has everything you need, beautiful and private surroundings and is spotlessly clean. We loved the fire pit and marshmallows! It is within driving of lovely towns and villages and was a lovely and relaxing break away! Would recommend highly! Thank you

We had a fantastic stay at the Shepherd’s retreat, the tennis court and the outdoor patio area were great in the sunny weather and the cabin itself was lovely, well equipped and spacious. The location suited our cycle trip to visit the north Cotswold towns perfectly, would definitely come back again!

Hands down one of the best Air BnBs I have stayed in, it exceeded my expectations. The place was beautiful inside and out, there were so many little extras that just made it even more wonderful. I've stayed in Shepherds Huts listed as 'secluded' whilst being not far from many other Shepherds Huts. This is most definitely not the case and it truly gives the feeling of being in your own little world. The only thing that would have made it better is if I had booked to stay longer! I would come back in a heartbeat.

Stayed here for one night as an anniversary trip with my partner. Was exactly what we wanted, peaceful, relaxing and had everything we could possibly need. We packed a lot of items that we thought we would need but the hosts provided most of it anyway. Excellent stay!

Such a nice place to get away - the sheep were very welcoming!

We had a wonderful stay, it was so peaceful and private. We would 100% recommend to anyone to visit! We loved that we could let our dog roam around with the peace of mind that she was safe while we enjoyed the hot tub. James was incredibly helpful and answered all our messages so quickly! We loved that there was a list of things to do and places to eat, it made it so easy for us to narrow down what to do. The shepherds hut itself was spotless and had everything we needed! We loved the added details of coffee and logs for the fire being provided. Thank you so much for an incredible stay!

We had a really lovely stay, the place is gorgeous and the farm is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The shepherd’s hut itself was homely and peaceful - we had a lovely bbq out in the sun and our host Karen was great! Definitely would recommended - especially for those who like country walks and to be surrounded by greenery and wildlife!

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. we had the loveliest weekend at Rachaels shepherd hut, the hut was so pretty, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, so lovely to have a safe secure garden for our dog too, Rachael was lovely, greeted us on arrival and left us a lovely lemon drizzle cake and milk for a very welcome cuppa when we had unpacked. even our dog was treated to a towel, treats poop bags and a feed bowl, these personnel touches made our stay so special, Rachael even bought a doggy pool for our dog as we were having a heatwave, the hut was a home from home, everything you need was provided, shes the best host, and we highly recommend her little holiday home,and we're definitely going back , we didn't want to leave!

We absolutely loved our stay at ‘The Bibury’! Only a short drive from Burford, it was a wonderfully peacefully escape in such a gorgeous setting. The facilities were fantastic and the welcome basket was a lovely treat on arrival - the wood-fired hot tub was an added bonus! The hosts were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely reccomend to others visiting the Cotswolds :)
