Our vacation apartment THE APARTMENT Without Benedikt Kappenstein, Hof Erlenbruch would not exist in its current form. The guest room in the old haystack was awakened from its slumber and, after more than a year of renovation, was transformed by hand into a vacation home/apartment. The character of the old haystack was partially retained. Thus a piece of luxury was created in the Wildenburger Land on Hof Erlenbruch away from the urban hustle and bustle. The only people who live on Hof Erlenbruch are Benedikt Kappenstein, who manages the farm, his life partner Michael Noiron and their son. There are no cars around the farm and no traffic noise, as the access road ends in the courtyard. There is no Internet connection, as this cannot be provided by the providers and even cell phone reception is not possible on every corner. There is no everyday stress and no noise here. Here you only hear the rustling and cracking of the trees when the wind blows and the occasional howling of a fox. Here you can determine your daily rhythm in harmony with nature. Simply let yourself be carried away into the boundless forest landscapes of mountain and valley of the Wildenburger Land and discover our historic landscapes. Enjoy the tranquility and comfort of our apartment, which invites you to relax. The nearest neighbors are about 800 meters away, here you will experience pure secluded idyll! And if you should be drawn to more populated areas, you can cycle directly out of the courtyard exit and reach the nearest main road after just 2.6 km. A unique mixture of rustic farm and classics in a modern style await our guests in our newly designed apartment. An impressive mix with stylish interiors, modern design and traditional materials, which Benedikt Kappenstein and Michael Noiron have adapted to the style. A copper-colored bathtub next to the Jailhouse Bed by Noodles Noodles on the gallery, cozy wooden elements, fireplace and a completely new interior ensure the perfect feel-good atmosphere. Through the large windows you have a view of the surrounding landscape and our alpacas. The bathroom was also completely renovated in 2017 and remains true to the style of the apartment with a mixture of classics and wooden elements. A small kitchenette allows you to cater for yourself if you do not want to visit one of the culinary restaurants in the area. BOOKING You have the option to book the apartment for two or a maximum of four people. On the gallery there is a bed for two people. Below is the distinctive Moule sofa, with a transformation comfort with rotating seats and flexible backrests, which can not only be used as a seat and relaxation furniture, but can also be transformed into a comfortable double bed in a few simple steps.

Our modern vacation home (85 m²) is located on the outer edge of the idyllic NRW gold village of Benroth, in the middle of the Bergisches Land (about 50 km east of Cologne). Surrounded by forest and meadow, nature lovers, hikers, mountain bikers, mushroom and berry pickers will get their money's worth. An inspirational space for creative people! Relax with the whole family, friends or as a couple at this peaceful place to stay. Our lovingly furnished 200-year-old half-timbered house is located in the middle of the village in a residential area. The garden is fenced off, parking spaces are always available in front of the gate. Nearby there are hiking trails, a playground, swimming lakes and activities of the "Bergisches Land." The house is a place of rest and relaxation. Parties are not allowed. Bed linen included for 4 nights or more.

Time out from everyday life in our historic accommodation. Idyllic secluded location on the edge of the forest. A car is needed as there is no connection to public transport. Wiehl center is about 3 km away with various shops, bakeries and restaurants. Heating is provided by radiators connected to our heat pump, which is powered by green electricity. Simple but functionally furnished, clean room with daylight in the basement of our single-family home in Altenkirchen/Ww. Private bathroom 2 steps across the hall opposite the room. The hallway leads to our basement rooms, which means we sometimes have to go through the hallway. Mini kitchen. Wi-Fi. TV. Near DRK Altenheim. A travel bed can be added to the bed (1.40 x 2.00, for two people to sleep) if necessary. For guests with a baby, a reservation is possible after consultation.

CORONA UPDATE: To limit risks of transmission, I have moved to an apartment in the cellar. The kitchen and dining/living rooms may be used at any time. These former "communal areas" are now private during your stay - just for you. 4 bedrooms (each sleeps up to 3 people, more if you don't mind being a bit squeezed) and 2 full baths.

Surrounded by trusting sheep, our circus wagon stands under a roof of maple trees. An exceptional place to stay with panoramic views for 1–2 adults. Sheep cuddling included! If you want to hike, cycle or slow down, you are in the right place in Windecker Ländchen. The circus trailer is located on a separate property behind our house on our sheep pasture. Private access & parking available. Every 30 minutes S-Bahn connection to Cologne (1 hour to the Koelnmesse).

The minimalist design makes the apartment a place of rest. Forest and meadow border the small mountain village and give the feeling of being surrounded by nature. Our nearby “Windbusch” - the local “mountain” - offers one of the distant views for which our area is so much appreciated. From up here you can't see Cologne Cathedral, but at least the Siebengebirge. The proximity to Cologne makes our village particularly attractive, as the city is only 30 km away.
