We look forward to warmly welcoming you to The Byre, a lovely renovated and historic farm cottage nestled in the countryside near the west coast town of Oban. Immerse yourself in the experience of living like a local on this traditional highland farm, run by a Scottish family from one of the ancient highland clans. You have the entire use of the small cosy cottage with its exposed roof timbers and original stone walls. Relax, unwind and soak up the beauty in this special, peaceful cottage.
“Just back from 4 nights at the Byre with my wife and 6 month baby. A fantastic chill out week was had, and the place was perfect. Niall and his parents were great hosts and always on hand to help, without being over keen. Niall let us meet the newborn lambs and feed the sheep, and we had a supply of fresh hen and duck eggs for breakfasts in the morning. Definitely looking forward to returning at some point in the future!”
One bedroom apartment. Situated directly under McCaig's Tower overlooking Oban, the flat is a short and somewhat steep walk to the town's centre. Simple & comfortable accommodation. It comprises of a livingroom/kitchen with stunning views over Oban Bay and beyond. A rear-facing double bedroom with (Winter) views of the Tower. And a shower room with large shower. The apartment offers the perfect base to explore and enjoy all that Oban and the West Coast has to offer.
“Such a wonderful place. The perfect location to run up the hill and take photos of beautiful Oban from McCaig’s Tower at sunset and get the first light of sunrise too. The apartment had so many little touches which made it feel like home, was beautifully clean and they were really quick to respond and answer any questions. I’d so happily recommend them to any of my friends in the future (unless I wanted to go there myself that week!)”
'Skerryvore' is situated in a quiet residential area within walking distance of Oban town centre. Comfy and attractively renovated, our 3 bedroom house is an ideal base from which to enjoy the many delights of Oban and the surrounding area.
“Elaine was a wonderful host and her house had 3 rooms with 1 washroom. The living area had an excellent view of the mountains along with tv equipped with Netflix. The beds were comfy to sleep on and the kitchen has all the basic stuff incase you wish to cook stuff. Groceries shop like Tesco and lidl are 5 minutes drive and the ferry port is about the same. I had forgotten my ticket prints for the isle of mull ferry and Elaine came to the rescue by getting the prints late at night. I am very grateful for that and she totally deserves 5/5 on all fronts. Thank you so much for having us!”
