Holiday appartment in Oberammergau

Our flat was renovated in March 2013. You can expect a bright and modern living room with space for up to three people. The kitchenette is equipped with a dish-washer, stove, coffee/espresso maker, micro-wave, kettle, toaster, fridge and sink. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. The bed room is on the first floor and offers a cozy double bed as well as a flat-screen TV with DVD-player. There is also a private terrace attached to the flat, with sunlight for almost the entire day as well as a garden. The house is built entirely of native wood and offers a particularly healthy living comfort. About Oberammergau: The small town of Oberammergau is located in the Bavarian Alps. It hosts the famous Oberammergau Passion Play every ten years. Much of its charme is due to the village's historical colourful houses ('Lüftlmalerei'). But Oberammergau is also an active community: a cinema, a theatre, a few museums and a variety of cafés and restaurants make Oberammergau a nice place to live. You can also easily reach the famous castles of Linderhof and Neuschwanstein (by car it will take you 15 or 45 min respectively to reach the castles). The Ettal Abbey is about 2 miles/4 km from Oberammergau, and you can walk or cycle there. In the winter, the Bavarian Alps are a skiing region. Oberammergau offers ski lifts for amateurs and pros alike. Garmisch-Partenkirchen (20 min by car) is Germany's largest ski ressort. We are member of the Königscard initiative, which means that you will be able to use the swimming pools, ski lifts, museums and many other activities (including boat tours, guided tours in the snow, theatre plays...) in Oberammergau and the entire region (Tirol, Ammergauer Alpen, Blaues Land, Allgäu) for free! There is more information available on the Königscard website which you can easily find with a search engine. This is a great offer for anyone who would like to make the most of their holiday and is entirely for free for you!

The apartment Rose is located in a traffic calmed area in the center of Oberammergau between City hall and the Museum. Many shops including grocery stores, tourism information, train station and the Passionplay theatre can be reached comfortably by foot. The apartment is about 650 sqft in size with a living room with kitchen, 1 bed room, bathroom with shower, private outside sitting area, 1 parking space. The garden with a grill, a washing machine and drier are shared with other house guests.

Very quiet, cozy and stylish apartment on the creek. Old building with wooden and stone floors. New bathroom and new kitchen. A mixture of old and new garnished with a lot of art and culture. In the summer you can relax on the partly covered terrace or in the garden in the sun lounger. More than half of the garden is designed close to nature, with orchids, other wild flowers and grasses. In the cold season you will be greeted with blazing fire in the fireplace and supplied with firewood

The 2 balconies face east and southwest, so you can find a sunny spot with stunning views of the surrounding mountains at any time of the day to relax. Our vacation in Oberammergau will be remembered very positively! The location of the apartment is perfect to spend (with the dog) an active holiday in the Ammergau Alps. Here you can explore numerous lakes with an alpine panorama (Eibsee, Hopfensee,...) and climb many mountain peaks in the immediate vicinity (Kofel, Brunnenkopf, Laber,...). The apartment is modern, but still cosy. The view over the Kofel completes the picture. The communication with Angela was easy, friendly and always helpful. We look back on an uncomplicated, beautiful and relaxing week!

We were extremely happy with the place. The apartment was very clean and the location was great, as the apartment is on the outskirts and the view from the terrace is therefore unique. The host Peter was very friendly, took care of our individual concerns and was also able to answer questions about activities, etc. in the area very well. We would definitely return !

Nice easy walk into town. Having laundry available was good although directions in English for the washer/dryer would have been helpful. Overall, we had a great time in Oberammergau. It’s such a lovely town and the mountains and green rolling hills were so picturesque. Thank you, Britta.
