Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Pleasure Island

We loved this property. Lary is a wonderful host, and we felt right at home. What a beautiful home! I highly recommend this rental! It's perfect!

Risako's place was beautiful, spotless, and had every convenience. Not only did we find everything we we had a need for throughout the week, but everything was in great condition as well. The kitchen was well stocked and it was fun to cook and eat there. The bathrooms were spotless, stocked with extra necessities, and had luxurious showers. In the main level living room, sectional was very comfortable and big enough for our family of 7 to fit on it comfortably for movie nights. We spent a lot of time on the deck, too, and the back yard was pretty and big enough for the kids to play in. Kure Beach was new to us and we loved it. Lots of beautiful homes and landscaping, a great neighborhood for walking, running, and biking and close to a paved bike trail that connects to a nice park. The house is a very short, easy walk to the beach while still being out of the way of most of the beach traffic, and we enjoyed walking to the pavilion for beach church and a concert.

Our stay was great from beginning to end. Host was very responsive with any questions I had. Space was great for my fur baby it was perfect for him. Will definitely be visiting again!

Had a great stay at Kevin's place. Short walk to the beach, easy check-in, as described in photos! Kevin was always quick to reply before and duing my stay to messages.

Beautiful home in a great location! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the beach. The private beach access and parking is a huge plus. The house was extremely clean, especially for a pet friendly property, and had everything we needed for our stay. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our pups. Would definitely stay again!

Wow! Loved this sweet, chic beach cottage, very short walk to the beach, where we saw some serious surfing. House is super clean and comfy, and the host thought of everything -- king beds, great kitchen setup, and every beach toy you can imagine. Did a lot of reading and relaxed on the big front porch -- it's on a quiet residential street where you can hear the ocean a block away but lots of birdsong, too. Closer to Kure than Carolina, which we liked. Spent an evening watching the sunset at Fort Fisher and another checking out the historic boardwalk at Carolina Beach. New fave beach rental: we will be back!

Super nice and comfortable beach cottage. Great views of the ocean. We were there on weekdays so the beach access next door was hardly used and not an issue. The only negatives we experienced were: - the ocean side porch is not covered, so no relief from the sun unless you go inside. - large bush to the west of the driveway makes visibility very difficult and unsafe to back out onto the road. Need to back into driveway (difficult with busy 2-lane road) or do a 3- point turn to get out.

Our stay was wonderful and the location can’t be beat. Sabine was friendly and proactive every step of the way. We loved being right on the water and the section of the beach wasn’t too crowded even on Memorial Day Weekend. Would highly recommend staying here. Sabine is a great host!

The host was very responsive and the place was great all around. Views are amazing, parking is out front of the unit. This spot is one of the best for the price and worked well for three people for two nights. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in town.

Overall, this was a great experience. She had clear instructions and was very responsive. The place was a short walk from the beach and it was cute and cozy!

Daniel was great! Answered all my questions and was super quick with his responses. The house was immaculate I almost felt bad touching stuff. I really enjoyed my stay and I am impressed with the cleanliness of the home! Would definitely stay again!

We rented Steve's place to attend our granddaughters graduation.The location was very convenient with plenty to do within walking distance. Plenty of street parking but also a private spot in the back of the house. We didn't do any cooking but the apartment was well equipped if you wanted to cook small meals. There are 2 air conditioners which made the apartment very comfortable. Plenty of hot water with great pressure for 2 people. My only suggestion is to add a book with suggestions for things to do and places to eat. I'm very familiar with Wilmington but for newcomers, there's a lot to see and do that only locals can recommend. Great breweries, restaurants...even the Harris Teeter has a wine bar with music! Buy a bottle of wine, cheese, italian meats and crackers and enjoy the relaxing porch at sunset!

My family and I enjoyed our weekend at Skipper’s place. It was a nice area in a wonderful friendly neighborhood. The walk to the beach wasn’t very long and the place had all the amenities you could need. Would recommend to a couple staying in the area!

What a great location that checked all the boxes for our stay. Beach, restaurants were in walking distance or just a short ride away. We would definitely come back to Erin's place if in the area.

Cute , quiet beachy apartment, 2 blocks from the beach, restaurants and lots of stuff to do. The golf cart was the greatest amenity. Host was friendly, responsive and helpful. VERY WORTH IT ! Would totally stay again.

This place was beautiful and the right size for the 3 of us. We came from a little over 3 hours away and checked in very late. The check in process was extremely easy. We did not need to contact the host for anything because everything was there that we needed.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at A Wave From it All, and it did not disappoint. We stayed for 4 nights, and were able to enjoy the beach and the activities with no problem. The only downside was that the pool was unfortunately closed for our time here, and we had originally chose this place based on the fact that there was also a pool, however that isn’t something Jenna could control of course as they were doing construction on it; we did not know until we arrived. However, the restaurants and the boardwalk are all very close, as well as the beach access being right across from our house. We walked the pond most nights as well which was nice. Overall, we had a great experience here and will be staying again next year.

We loved Vanessa’s place! Super clean, great convenient location, steps away from the beach. The view on the balcony was great too. We had everything we needed to enjoy our beach vacation.

A beautifully decorated condo that’s more spacious than the pictures and a quiet spot with ocean views . We enjoyed sitting on the patio for afternoon cocktails listening to the waves this week. Chad is an excellent host and we appreciated ALL the extra thoughtful touches and the local suggestions. Perfect for a couple looking to get away to relax. We would stay here again!

This condo has a homey and comfortable vibe and is nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped, the bath towels etc are high quality and the air conditioning is terrific. Also, it is just a stone’s throw from the ocean, so not only is the view amazing but the sound of the ocean is wonderful. The balcony is spacious and nicely furnished. And, last but not least, Linda is a friendly, gracious and welcoming host.

Anne was so wonderful to work with and her communication was excellent! Her place was not only beautiful, but it was the perfect location to both the beach and the pool! It had multiple private decks for our family to enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean. The house was spotless and has been very well maintained; and as an extra bonus- it included ALL of the linens including plenty of extra bath towels and beach towels! We will definitely be back for many years to come!

Lovely condo! Perfect size for my husband and I and the amenities provided were perfect. Check-in and check-out were easy and the private pool/beach access was awesome. Tony messaged me when they were unable to message through Airbnb to make sure I had everything I need!!

The condo was beautiful, the location was exceptional, and the goats were friendly and responsive. We couldn’t ask for a better stay!

My husband and I loved our trip to Shelley’s place and visiting the island! 🩷It was such a nice, quiet place to stay, you can see the ocean out of the back door, and condo is within walking distance to the beach and local restaurants and ice cream shops. We will definitely be back to visit again!
