What a beautiful spot! I really needed a “break from it all” and this cottage had it all. Clean, warm, cosy in an absolutely stunning location. Surrounded by green fields and trees, animals, lakes and beautiful gardens. The hot tub was just Devine, especially at night when the fairy lights came on. I’ve never felt so toasty- the underfloor heating was so effective, especially as we had a cold weekend weatherwise. Welshpool is a lovely town to visit and the local waterfalls are stunning. We had a great walk around Lake Vrynwy and the Giants Hand is a must see. Lovely to see the farm animals, and the added bonus was a secure paddock for the dogs to run in. Clare's cottage was perfect for our stay. It was very comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. The location is just fantastic for exploring the wonderful valley with all it's natural wonder, and coming home to a warm fire was great.

Our stay at the barn was wonderful. The home is spotless and has everything we needed. Beautiful views from the garden and lovely neighbours with an equally lovely dog! Sally is a fab host who came and introduced herself and provided lots of info on the area and local recommendations. Would recommend to anyone seeking a rural getaway in a beautiful location. We were 5 adults and an 11 year old staying for 3 nights. The cottage was beautiful - rustic with everything you need. Alice and Louise were very accommodating and friendly. There was a power cut when we arrived but they let us have use of the camper oven for our potatoes. The surroundings are really beautiful. Loads of wildlife, swimming and fishing in river. Great walks.....would definitely stay there again!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Trish’s beautiful cottage nestled among the hills. The house itself was stunning, featuring charming wooden interiors and thoughtful design throughout. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Trish and Ian were incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. They gave us great recommendations for scenic walks with breathtaking mountain views. They even took the time to show us their other nearby properties, which were equally impressive - especially the one with the huge, cozy fireplace and beautiful architecture. One of the highlights of our trip was spending time with the lovely farm animals especially Jerry the pony, who absolutely stole our hearts! We also met some friendly chickens and George, their lovable dog. For those who prefer not to interact with animals, there’s no pressure but our group of four loved the experience and were grateful to be allowed to meet them. Highly recommend this beautiful stay!

The property was a beautiful peaceful location. Being a converted barn everything was on one level. Very contemporary and tastefully decorated throughout. Every eventuality has been catered for whether a short or long stay. Looking forward to returning when next in the area. Totally recommended.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Judith's barn in Kington, it was a great place to stay - comfortable, full of charm and character, and well-equipped. Judith was friendly, helpful and quickly responded to queries - we could not have asked for more and will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Staying at Cae’r Beili in April was magical. Meryl was friendly and warm as she introduced us to the beautiful converted barn. The air was full of the sounds of sheep and their lambs with easy viewing from the lovely glass-enclosed sunroom. Looking out across the Carmarthenshire hills is a soothing experience and we enjoyed a long walk through the fields to the waterfall and back. The accommodations worked very well for our family (two children and four adults, one with limited mobility). If you want to experience the heart of rural Wales I highly recommend coming to Cae'r Beili - you may experience a little "hiraeth" after you return home.

We had a lovely few days away in Hannah and Ian's barn. A lovely location with a stunning drive in over the mountains. Our daughter, son in law and two little grandsons came also, so it was a great spacious place for us to enjoy. There was plenty of space for us all and the boys loved their animal themed bedroom. The rooms were lovely and decorated and the beds were really comfortable. Super equipped kitchen for us all. We loved the outside space with the table tennis table. A lovely relaxing stay.

We loved our stay at this beautiful lodge! We felt completely at home and appreciated the comfortable accommodation, incredible views, tranquility and the hot tub of course! Very responsive hosts too. Our only regret is not staying longer. Thank you!

Wonderful upside down living in this amazing conversion. Everything clean and tidy. Comfy sofas and beds, huge bedrooms and amazing showers. We came for a retreat and left feeling well rested, relaxed and ready to face our busy lives again. Will highly recommend to others.

Beautifully decorated cottage which was spotlessly clean. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Very spacious cottage with all equipment we needed for cooking. Matthew was very responsive when we wanted to light the fire one evening. We absolutely loved the location, with walking, cycling and activities close by (canyoning and zip wires) The New Inn is metres away and was very welcoming with super tasty food We’ll be back! Absolutely loved staying at Gemma’s place, beautiful decor, peaceful surroundings very tranquil and felt right at home. Loved the touch with the tea, milk and biscuits a must to set you up in the mornings prior to walking. Great information sent re all the walks! We did pen y fan and the four waterfalls! Not forgetting the pubs the ancient Britain and the red lion for brilliant food! Thanks so much!! Had a blast would highly recommend xx

Absolutely perfect venue for a large group of people. Plenty of beds and fantastic social spaces. Loads of facilities and a lovely view. The property is very private and a short 15 walk into the village with some lovely pubs. Margaret was very proactive and made sure our stay was perfect.

The flapjacks and apple juice were absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated how quick you were to help with anything we needed. Just Beautiful! The Views!!! This was a great find, really lovely hosts, plenty of room inside and we had a lovey couple of nights here. We highly recommend. Hosts recommended the Stumble Inn for evening meal and this was a proper pub, very friendly and great food ! Thank you

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully restored ancient stone barn high up on a hill with great views of the surrounding pastures, meadows and hills. The accommodation was spacious and tastefully furnished, with comfortable beds, a huge bathroom and a nicely functional kitchen. The back garden was an oasis of flowers, birds and bees, where you could sit and drink your tea and relax after a long day of exploring the surrounding countryside. Jean-Marie was an excellent, friendly and responsive host who always replied within minutes to our queries. We spent one day trout fishing on the nearby Wye, and another cycling the Elan valley. Rhayader, just a few minutes' drive away, had great restaurants and cafés. For a small, outdoorsy family of three in need of a relaxing break in a serene and beautiful spot, you couldn't do much better.

Fishers Retreat is idyllic, sweet against a mountain backdrop with a lake and nearby waterfall it has all the nature you could wish for. The barn itself is beautiful, clean and had lots of thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers. The bed was very xomfortable, the water very hot, the baths deep and the log burner very efficient. We travelled to and from the Hay Festival in about 30 mins. Katy and David are charming, book the fan place, you won't regret it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better base during our short trip, the space was beautiful, cosy and homely. Kate was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful and the views from the top of your private garden are amazing. I could not recommend Kate and her property enough. Thank you

Perfect place for us. It was spotlessly clean and we loved the quiet location on the estate. Lots of local fun things to do for children.

Absolutely beautiful stay, location was perfect... We saw a deer on the track, lots of birds of prey, swimming with wildlife. This is the most home from home Airbnb I've stayed in yet, incredibly comfortable very well provisioned, great supermarket (harry Tuffins) in the nearby craven arms and also Bromfield where there is a lovely farm shop. Leena was the perfect host, took the time to greet us on arrival and then left us to enjoy the privacy and peacefulness of their beautiful location. Highly recommend and hoping to visit again, five stars all the way.
