We had a wonderful stay at Villa Despina! The location is fantastically quiet, perfect for relaxing, and at the same time a good base for exploring the south of Crete. The villa itself is very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped – from the kitchen to the beautiful outdoor area with pool, everything was well maintained. We particularly liked the warm hospitality and the little touches when we arrived. We felt right at home! A real highlight: the fantastic view of the surrounding nature and the sunsets in the evening. We will be happy to come back and can recommend Villa Despina to anyone looking for peace, comfort and Cretan warmth. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic luxury place, very spacious with enormous veranda. Easy parking right on the street. Fantastic mattresses , perfect firmness, slept very comfortably. Highly recommend!

This was the best Airbnb we've stayed at. Lovely village with restaurants, a bakery and markets for most of what you'd need. On arrival the house had been generously stocked with more than we expected. Argiro and her family were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend Iro House. Thanks so much Argiro, we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The location is quiet and offers a great view of the sea – perfect for unwinding. The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The landlords were friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. All in all, a nice house for a relaxing beach vacation.

We loved our stay! We had a lot of bags and you cant drive your car thru old town so was a pain to get everything in but once we did it was great.

Lenia and George’s place is wonderful. Beautifully designed and decorated, super comfortable and very unique. The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything. George and Lenia were very responsive and very hospitable. Highly recommended!

First of all, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely host, Niki, who showed us around and gave us great recommendations. The apartment itself was exactly as we expected from the photos — cozy, beautiful, and spotless. Everything smelled fresh and clean. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Each room was equipped with air conditioning, and the beds were very comfortable. The views from the balconies were wonderful — it was a pleasure to sit outside in the evenings and watch the lively street life below. The apartment is located in the center of Rethymno, with everything within a 5-minute walking distance. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s possible to find a spot about a 5-minute walk away. We would happily come back again!

We had a lovely week in Rethymno. Ilse was super helpful and the property was perfect for exploring the old town whilst being in a great place to get to the beach.

Vicki was an excellent host, we were there for our honeymoon. She went as far as to get us flowers and champagne, which was a very nice thought, and she even helped me with car rentals and getting instructions how to get from the airport to her location. Overall, an excellent host in the place was very good. We were communicating over what’s app and it was very smooth and easy

Everything worked smoothly. The place is in a quiet area but still very close to the old town. Everything is new and clean, with complimentary extras like water, coffee pods, sweet snacks and a bottle of chilled white wine. We were there during a major Sahara dust storm and our car was rinsed clean the next morning!

It was lovely stay at Konstandina’s apartment! I highly recommend, cosy, neat and properly arranged space. We had all the amenities that was essential and even more. The bed is really comfy. The location is great. Beach, old town, shops, cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. Parking spot nearby. Last but not least, Konstandina is extremely kind and generous! We have experienced really warm greeting and farewell. The level of the hospitality is beyond the scale. We are impressed. Thank you again!

This was our first holiday abroad in over 10 years and first for our daughter (9 yoa) and it was a perfect stay! We love Rethymno, especially the old town and the location of the suites was perfect for us. The people of the town are super friendly and kind, and especially so to children, which is lovely. There are many amazing places to eat, drink and enjoy on the doorstep. Athina was an incredible, kind and very helpful host. She arranged our airport transfers and even a late check out with short notice. The apartment was incredibly clean and airy, with air con, great facilities and lovely sofa bed, we felt very comfortable and at home. The yard area and pool were a great addition to the suites and we used it daily. Thank you so much, we hope to stay again in the future!

This place is beautiful! We enjoyed our stay especially watching sunrises with coffee on the balcony and watching sunsets with some wine. The views are stunning. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay and was quiet when we needed some rest. It was about a 20 minute walk to old town and had good sidewalks and lighting. Parking in Rethymno can be challenging so having a spot was very convenient. There is a little beach across the street for a quick dip in the sea. It is a great spot for venturing to other locations. I highly recommend checking out the artist town of Margarites. Nikos was a great host, very easy to reach and provided some lovely recommendations.

Staying with Nikolaos was relaxing and lovely - the apartment is directly across from a historical fortress and situated in the old town. The studio was clean and charming. Make sure to use the ceiling fan to cool the room. I would love to stay here again, thank you!

small renovated studio with balcony and side sea vieuw in a distance...everything was there what you need ..communication with host was swift and fexibel...close to bussration to...the only down point was that the surounding streets are very noisy all the time from the traffic

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

Eftychia is an exceptional host, very welcoming. She had planned a lot of nice touches. The apartment is beautiful and very clean. The area is very good, close to the old town on foot. I recommend it!

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!! We had such a great time here! Nikos' place looks exactly as advertised, if not more beautiful. I especially adored the high ceiling, spacial living room/kitchen and lots of natural light. In May Greek weather it's a perfect appartment to comfortably sit outside/inside and sleep at night. The center of Chania is about 10 minutes away by car so a rental car is recommended. Luckily you can easily park it right next to the house. You can also get a taxi to get there, which costs for us 10-15 euros for 2 people. The communication with Nikos was lovely. He gave recommendations, answered questions quickly and made it so everything was clear and comfortable for us.

We had a wonderful stay at Alexandros’s place! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The villa itself was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable, but the real highlight was the stunning outdoor space and private pool – we truly didn’t want to leave. Alexandros was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even leaving us a selection of delicious local treats. We had everything we needed and more. The location is peaceful and offers a beautiful sea view thanks to its position on a hill – it feels like a little slice of paradise. It’s just a short drive to the charming town of Rethymno, which has plenty of great places to eat, shop, and explore. There are also supermarkets nearby if you’d rather cook and enjoy meals at the lovely villa. Do note that you’ll definitely need a car, as the villa is a bit uphill and not walkable from town – but the view and tranquility are well worth it. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Close to the beach. Parking available. Apartment has everything you might need. Helpful landlord. Everything within walking distance, car is only needed for day trips. Nice toys for the kids. The only downside is that it is next to a busy road with the necessary noise.

We had a very nice week at the property. It was clean and everything necessary was available. I found the beautiful terrace and the nice selection of books in the accommodation particularly charming. The bathroom is a bit small, but that didn't bother us much, because you could easily move some things into the adjoining bedroom. We almost always had a parking space right in front of the accommodation. Only once was there no parking space available, but there are many parking options in the area. It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to walk to the beautiful old town, so you have to be a good walker. We enjoyed the walk after the phenomenal food and raki in the city.
