Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! Outdoor swimming pools very close by.

On a good night you can see the Northern lights directly from our balcony window. Spot seals and the occasional whale (mainly in winter). (3rd guest possible, but tight) along with bike and gear area, available upon request great for packing and unpacking the Iceland expedition of lifetime. Free parking on site for up to 3 cars. A fully functioning kitchenette and lounge chair. Outdoors dining area with gas BBQ, ideal for sunny afernoons. Important: Warm shower is outdoors! Walking distance 4 min. to local swimming pool and store. Along with the local bar Mossley.

Nestled between downtown and a large commercial area, there is plenty to accomplish in just walking distance to parks and shops and a short drive to access day trips to the South (Golden Circle, South Coast) and West (Snæfellsnes, Húsafell). Since this is my home, my cat will be your exclusive roommate during your stay and she loves company, despite being shy.
