Holiday rentals with lake access in River Spey

Great place to stay, at high tide you feel like your right on the firth and at low tide there is a lot of area to walk. It's quite and peaceful, and was the perfect place for me and my family to relax whilst we explored Inverness, Loch Ness and the highlands

We loved the place, and is actually better than it looks in the pictures. A lovely cottage , very spacious and well located. Clancy is a lovely host, very responsive and recommended places for us to visit. Checked in with us to ensure we were settled, got us milk and eggs and little treats, which we found extremely thoughtful and useful considering we were visiting just before Christmas. Would highly recommend this place, the village is small but nice and easily walkable. Drivable distance from Inverness, Ullapool, Loch Ness and other places. Would happily stay again.

Located right next to Black-watch bar/hotel at the top of the town. Easy walk to Menzies castle, fun walk to the Birks, and it was made even better by the once a month market we got to stop in and buy fresh local goods to cook with and artisans to buy keepsakes. Wonderful place and would love to stay here again!!!

A truly wonderful property set in serene, tranquil surroundings. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

We spent a wonderful week at Hollybank with our kids & extended family. Hollybank is situation in a beautiful Glen - it’s remote, peaceful & set amongst a stunning backdrop of mountains. We loved: - The peaceful area - Spacious/modern house - Well equipped kitchen - STUNNING views!

Siâns house was beautifully decorated, and a perfect place to stay. Close to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, co-op groceries and a lovely pizza place. We really appreciated the wash machine!

Rock Cottage was a great ‘study camp’ for my daughter in the run-up to her exams. The house was immaculate and very much a home from home. The beds were very comfortable. The highlight, though, is outdoors - the wild garden is enchanting and full of bird life - we loved sitting in the sun room watching the swallows outside, followed by the bats at dusk. It’s in a very peaceful location but only a short drive to Kenmore or Aberfeldy for shops and restaurants. We’d love to be back!

George was an excellent host, providing a warm welcome and great communication in advance of our visit. This is a wonderful house in a beautiful location, and perfect for groups of all ages. Plenty of bathrooms and rooms for relaxing. We enjoyed a week here in mid-June. There were nine adults at one stage, and there was space for us all. I highly recommend Zippity-do-da to anyone visiting this part of Scotland.

Pristine and super comfortable hideaway in beautiful surroundings. The place is better than the photos portray. Very very comfortable bed and lovely & bright living space. Very private including a lovely little outdoor area to relax in the sunshine. The shed with freezer and dryer was very useful for storing bikes. Leanne & Darrin were very responsive and helpful. The location is superb for exploring right from the door or for going further afield. We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year. Such a restorative place to stay.

What a magical place to spend time relaxing! The abbey and apartments are stunning. With lounge windows facing Loch Ness, a large bathroom with a claw foot bath, a substantial master bedroom and separate twin room, it really was a home from home. Fort Augustus is centrally located, and a beautiful little village. We hired a car and travelled extensively through the Highlands. Glencoe is around an hour away, Ben Nevis around 45 minutes, Inverness around 40 minutes, and Balmoral Castle was 2.5 hours away with a spectacular drive through the Cairngorms. I absolutely recommend staying here as your base. You will not regret it. The only thing I would caution is the apartment is on the top floor. This means climbing 6 flights of stairs. There is no lift, so bear this in mind if you have anyone with mobility issues travelling with you. Jonathan, the host, is fantastic in all his communication. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back!

Although a little expensive, the views, and being in an Abbey was an amazing experience. We had plenty of room and the apartment had everything we needed including tea! The canal locks were a thrilling surprise to watch when going for coffee or ice cream. Loch Ness cruise was beautiful. Everything you could need from coffee to restaurants and gift shops to convenience store all walking distance but very quiet complex with a city link bus stop 5-6 minute walk to explore the highlands.

Dan est un hôte prévenant et généreux qui a multiplié les petites attentions pour que notre séjour se déroule parfaitement. A truly excellent accommodation which was exactly as described and just like the photos. We particularly appreciated: -the proactive and responsive communication (Mhairi answered her phone immediately when we called her and also replied almost immediately to text messages) -constant hot water and fabulous rainfall shower (with plentiful shower gel also provided) -ability to control the heating (perfect for softie southerners) using the hive system -generous provision of snacks, croissants, teabags/coffee and a pint of milk left in the fridge -comfortable beds and lots of cosy blankets in the living room (another win for those that feel the cold) -central location with free parking nearby -flexible check out time (though obviously this may not always be available if new guests due) Worth mention that the flat is on the second floor so may not be as suitable for people with mobility issues and/or a lot of heavy luggage -not an issue for us as we were only staying one night.

Beautiful location, the property was lovely in a stunning location. My only complaint would be the uncomfortable dining chairs.

This place is quite special: the Apartment is in the oldest Part of the converted Abbey. It is very large, nicely furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and beds and has a very nice kitchen and bathroom. But this isn‘t all, there is the swimmingpool, gameroom etc. that you can use - even though the place was pretty full we hardly saw other people and did not hear anything from them in the flat. The absolut greatest thing about the place is it’s location right on the Loch Ness, tranquill and beautiful.

Me, my partner, two of our close friends and our greyhound Louis had a magical week at the boathouse. Not only were we blessed with end to end sunshine, but the boat house was so wonderful, that for several days we didn't leave the accommodation. The photos on here do not do the boathouse justice, it was spotless and brimming with character - not to mention the bathrooms were wonderful! Huge recommendation would be to bring or rent a kayak for the lake, we spent hours having fun on there and it would be the perfect pastime for children too! Perfect spot for a couples holiday, a romantic getaway, or even a family holiday! We will definitely be back.

Joyce and Gus were wonderful hosts making us feel very welcome. The freshly baked bread waiting for us was absolutely amazing. The recommendations of thing's to do and places to visit was great and we would definitely return again.

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage is gorgeous and cosy - we felt so at home! Everything was pristine and excellently equipped. The location is remote with beautiful views of the surrounding fields and hills, and allows you to completely switch off. We loved every moment, already scheduling in a return :)

The Bothy is a super space, it has everything you need in a simple layout, with space to relax inside and beautiful surroundings outside. If you want peace and quiet and somewhere to clear your head it is perfect. The access to loch, wood and hill walks is on your doorstep and if you want to take on the challenge on some Munros they are easily accessible too, which worked really well for me. I had a great stay - it could not have been better.

Our group included 4 adults and two under two. Allison’s home comfortably fit our group. She was very prompt and responsive. During our stay, one of the little ones had a medical issue and Allison helped us find a medical practice, which we really appreciated. The garden was nice to walk around in and there are walking trails at the end of the street that were fun to explore. The upstairs has some squeaky areas that made it a bit challenging to sneak out during baby naps! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was beautiful, in a great location and so private. It had almost everything we needed for the nine of us and made for a perfect long weekend. It was clean, cosy and well presented. Check in and check out was incredibly easy. Thanks for having us!

We loved staying here. A great base to explore the area. Walks and cycling on the doorstep in a beautiful location. We enjoyed listening to the flowing river outside from our beds. The house was well equipped for our family of four and two dogs. Alison is a very helpful host.
