Apartment holiday rentals in Salzburg-Umgebung District

We very much enjoyed this Airbnb vacation rental. We were in town for a wedding and found the area very convenient to most local attractions. We had a parking space for a rental car. The forum shops is nearby where there is a very nice grocery store and even a Starbucks. It is also very conveniently located to the local train station. Directions were very clear and our host was quick to respond about anything we needed. We were able to walk to the wedding venue at Mirabel Palace and even the central part of old historic Salzburg. Having an elevator was very convenient as well. We would definitely stay here again. The next time we return to Salzburg

Alles leek wel nieuw en zeer schoon. De bedden en beddengoed waren ook er schoon en comfortabele bed. Ook de slaapbank was zeer comfortabel.

La casa si trova in una località molto bella in mezzo ai prati ed ha un grazioso giardino. L' interno è spazioso e pulito. Gisela è una host disponibile e gentile. Decisamente consigliata

Die Unterkunft hat voll unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Wir hatten genug Platz, die Ausstattung war sehr gut, noch besser als wir uns gedacht haben. Wir sind von dort in die Natur gefahren und am Sonntag Abend nach Salzburg ins Theater. Ist alles sehr gut erreichbar. Wir haben unser Wochenende sehr genossen und können das Apartment sehr empfehlen.

Thomas und Thomas, haben sich und ihren Besuchern ein Traumparadies geschaffen. Ein super schönes, sehr sauberes Studio. Ein Ort wo man sich gleich zu Hause fühlt. Die Bilder sagen alles, da sie haargenau stimmen. Man bekommt sofort eine Antwort und tolle Tipps. Wir konnten diese traumhafte Unterkunft nur einen Tag genießen, da wir aus familiären Gründen nach Hause reisen mussten. Kann man zu 100 Prozent empfehlen. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal. We had a lovely stay at Georgina’s place. We didn’t mind the walk uphill even with a rolling suitcase. There’s a nice 15 minute walk in the woods to a viewpoint right in back of the apartment! Georgina was super responsive to all our questions. If it matters to you, please be aware that the single sofa bed ( good mattress ) is in the living room and the bunk beds are accessible only through the main bedroom..

Lisa and Chris’ home exceeded our expectations. The home was clean and well-equipped, very cosy and convenient location (5 minute walk from Anthering station). The view from the apartment is spectacular! Lisa and Chris were proactive and responsive when we ran into issues (rarely any issues!). We absolutely adore Salzburg now and will definitely be coming back sometime in the future. Thank you Lisa and Chris for a lovely stay!

Great stay. Apartment super clean, spacious, comfortable and very quiet. Location short walk to many restaurants, shops, attractions and bus station for easy ride to lake mondsee, berchtesgaden national park/ lake konigssee. It was so nice to meet Lena and her family- communication was responsive and smooth. Overall wonderful experience, highly recommend.

Wir hatten einen rundum wunderschönen Aufenthalt! Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und mit hochwertiger Ausstattung versehen – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Ein echtes Highlight ist der zauberschöne Blick vom Balkon, den wir jeden Tag genossen haben. Der Fuschlsee direkt vor der Tür beeindruckt mit seiner Trinkwasserqualität – es war einfach wunderbar, darin zu baden. Auch die SUPs, die uns zur Verfügung standen, haben den Aufenthalt noch besonderer gemacht. Dazu kommt die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, die den Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft von Herzen weiterempfehlen!

This was the most comfortable and well-furnished Airbnb we have ever stayed in. And it was right in the heart of the Old Town! Communication was easy and Felix was immensely helpful and responsive. He is a very kind person who willingly helped us with our many questions. We are already planning to go back!

Ich habe mich im Apartment sehr wohlgefühlt! Als alleinreisende Person war mir besonders wichtig, dass die Unterkunft sicher, sauber und gut gelegen ist – und all das wurde absolut erfüllt. Die Wohnung ist durchdacht eingerichtet, hell und bietet alles, was man für einen kurzen oder auch längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders positiv fand ich das bequeme Bett, die gut ausgestattete Küche und die ruhige Lage – ideal zum Abschalten nach einem langen Tag. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Host war reibungslos, freundlich und schnell. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann das Apartment uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen – vor allem für Alleinreisende, die Komfort und Privatsphäre schätzen.

We had a fantastic stay at Chistina's and Matthias' place. They have a beautiful garden with a lot of grasshoppers and birds that we enjoyed listening to all day. Not far from the appartment there are places to go for walks in the woods or on paths while enjoying the scenery of the beautiful place. We recommend visiting the local farm, Geisbichlgut, for buying some good local products like meat, milk and yoghurt. Christina and Matthias has been kind and welcoming from the start and we couldn't have felt more at home in their appartment. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would love to come back!

We wish we could give more than five stars. Highly recommended. Gunther and Christa are warm, generous hosts. The apartment is even more attractive than the photos, filled with good artwork, comfortable furnishings. Don't miss their recommended Cantinetta, Falkenstein restaurants, walks around the lake and the ferry. We even plunged into the clear lake at the little beach just steps away. Beds are comfy and the kitchen well equipped. We will always look back fondly at our time in St Gilgen.

Georg und Renate waren wundervolle, kommunikative aber nicht aufdringliche Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr angenehm eingerichtet, es war alles da, was man gebraucht hat. Und für mich mit das Wichtigste: absolut sauber!!! Die Lage ist ein Traum. Mit dem Rad konnten wir viele schöne Touren machen, selbst etwas weitere Ziele waren mit Auto und Rad super zu erreichen. Die Abende auf den Liegestühlen, ein Glas Wein in der Hand und der fantastische Blick auf den See waren der perfekte Ausklang eines ereignisreichen Tages. Vielen Dank Renate und Georg für die wunderschöne Zeit (10 Tage) bei euch. Ihr und eure Wohnung seid absolut zu empfehlen.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich traumhaft schön und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist super, um Ausflüge zu machen und Salzburg ist auch schnell erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit Magdalena war sehr unkompliziert.

If you want an authentic Austrian countryside experience while you travel, look no further. Great location in the countryside outside of Salzburg. Highly recommend if you do stay here to have your own personal vehicle as it’s a ways outside of town. So quaint and beautiful. Fritz was very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of outlets throughout the house for all your devices to charge. Couches and beds were comfortable. Mix matched towels, cups and cutlery however everything had its own charm to it. The washing machine is smaller than we’re used to using although it did a great job washing our clothes. Nice big shower with plenty of water pressure. There is an overnight accommodation tax (tourist tax) imposed by Austria apart from the Airbnb fees. While we were there (June 2025), it was €2,50 per person, per night although the tax amount can fluctuate. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fritz’s place and would recommend it to others.

Jacqueline is a wonderful host. She welcomed us with a big wave onto the driveway and was incredibly proactive, friendly and responsive throughout. She gave us clear instructions on arrival and the apartment had everything we needed plus essentials for our dog. The apartment was wonderfully decorated, so well that we did not want to leave. The whirlpool worked fantastically with a great back massage function and the log fire made our evening more magical. However the stand out of it all is the extremely comfortable bed and pillows. We had the best nights sleep we have had our entire three month trip. We cannot recommend Jacqueline enough.

Ubytování bylo čisté, útulné a především na krásném místě. Naprosto dostačující vybavení kuchyňky. Co bylo ale naprosto TOP tak pohodlné matrace. Hostitelka, která nás přivítala s úsměvem byla moc milá a i v průběhu pobytu s námi byla v kontaktu. 10/10 doporučuji :)

This apartment is as pictured. Very clean and inviting. You do have to park about a short block from the apartment and if you want to use the laundry, you have to pay for it, but the location is great. It is close to Salzburg without the city crowds. The views are amazing and there is shopping close if you want to cook. The 1.5 baths are nice and the pool is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean apartment outside of the city limits of Salzburg.

Arnestgut's flat was brand new, it boasts a beautiful Chalet design with a modern look, one of the most architecturally beautiful Airbnbs we've been to. The place had a beautiful view of the Wolfgangsee Lake, and is in a quiet and peaceful location. The place was spotless and had anything you needed. But, more importantly the hosts were super friendly and flexible, making us feel comfortable and right at home.

Sehr entspannter Aufenthalt. Total angenehme Gastgeber. Der Pool war richtig toll und der ganze Garten hatte den ganzen Tag über Sonne. Sehr schöne Orte gut und schnell erreichbar. Zum Laufen/Wandern oder einfach entspannen sehr gut geeignet.

Un séjour et un lieu très sympathique. Le logement était très propre et cosy. Les hôtes étaient également réactifs (merci à David de nous avoir aidé quand on s’est enfermé à l’extérieur :D)
