Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sao Roque

Beautifully renovated old house, retaining original elements. The new extension, with the raised glass cube, is fantastic: stylishly furnished, beautiful views, always varied, private. Only the chirping of birds. Car can be parked on private property. Garden is private. Good bed! The kitchen is somewhat impractical, but that is secondary to the advantages of the house. During our stay, there were construction works next to the house. We were not bothered by it, especially because we were often on the road during the day. In short: fantastic place, worth repeating! This place is amazing! We enjoyed the apartment for two weeks as our home base to explore Sao Miguel. With its location in Lagoa it is the perfect getaway from the business of Ponta Delgada but still close enough to go on early whale watching tours.. or to any direction on the island. The kitchen is very well setup - we could prepare meals on multiple days but also enjoyed the walks to the nearby restaurants.. With breakfast and dinner on the roof top terrace this place is a unique find and we will be happy to stay again! Thank you for making such a place a reality!

Very nice view, nice house, very well equipped. We recommend renting a car to reach all sights and activities. Marco is very friendly, waited for us on the first day (despite flight delay), handed over the keys and showed us the house. He was always available for us. We recommend Marco's accommodation. Marek

Beautiful view, enjoyed my coffee on the balcony in the mornings overlooking the ocean. Would not suggest this accommodation if someone in your party has difficulties with stairs. Was perfect for the 4 of us!

We have been at the parents house for a week and had an amazing time. The view from the balcony is insane and the whole Apartment has beautiful furniture. The communication was also very easy and lovely. Thus I can highly recommend this apartment for everybody who is doing vacation on the Azores.

We had such a wonderful stay! The hosts were extremely proactive about helping us with any and all needs. We were traveling with a 1 year old baby and they had everything prepared for him including high chair and crib all set up. We are so glad we got to spend a wonderful week at this property. Sea Roots was even more beautiful than the pictures. We loved swimming in the natural pools right across the road. Tania was super friendly and answered all our questions. It was difficult to leave such a wonderful spot.

It was a bit hard to find the location originally as there are no numbers on the outside. We had a couple of issues at the beginning but Bruno was very responsive and fixed the issues quickly. The place was really nice, good location, great space to share with my children. We made good use of the hot tub and pool. Would recommend this place.

Great way to end are 2 week trip staying here at Duartes place. He also gave us tons!! Of suggestions and ideas for food and adventures outdoors.

The apartment is super well located and close to everything. I was able to drop off my luggage ahead of time, which was greatly appreciated. The double bed is very comfortable, the single bed less so. The terrace is perfect and the air conditioning was very useful to remove a little humidity. The only things missing are in the kitchen if you want to cook at home. A single multifunctional knife, a hand knife, a cutting board, a single rag, a bottle opener, utensils and dishes. No plastic wrap, no aluminum foil, no peeler and just two plastic dishes for takeaway dinners. In short, the drawers are empty. Otherwise everyone is perfect.

This is hands down the best Airbnb my boyfriend and I have ever stayed at! The apartment is extremely well kept and has everything you could possibly need. In addition, Maria and Joao Paulo were the most amazing hosts! Here are the highlights: - Looks just like the photos! Super clean - In unit washer was amazing - Insane views of the water - Extremely well located (also less than 10 min from the airport!) - Maria and Joao Paolo were extremely responsive and proactive in giving us tips for the island and the apartment - They even made us a local dessert which was so good! - Truly the best hosts we’ve ever had I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone that is looking to experience Sao Miguel!

Álvaro was an amazing host, the area was beautiful and he was able to provide many recommendations on stuff to do in the area. For others like us who wanted to explore the whole island it is a great central location that can get you to all sides in under an hour. Definitely will be recommending to our friends and family who will be visiting the island, thanks Álvaro!

Paula’s place looks better than on the photos. Very clean, has everything you need. Bathroom is very clean and tidy, has shower gel, shampoo, soap and many big towels :) we didn’t use the kitchen but it looks clean, has every dishes, wine opener, microwave. There’s also balcony-like zone with the washing machine and space to let the cloth dry. We had our own detergent so don’t know if it was some. Bedroom is very comfortable, you can hear waves sound at night that is very pleasant to fall asleep with. There could be some bike and church noises from the outside so it’s worth having ear stoppers if it bothers you. Personally me sleeping like a log :) Beach is 3 mins away, very nice bar with the best caipirinha and amazing terrace is 3 mins away. Also there are couple of restaurants near the beach where you can try some local dishes or drink coffee in the morning. Free parking is next to the beach. Paula is a great host and very friendly and nice. We can definitely recommend this place!

The description is accurate. This is a nice renovated building. The floors, tile and outside stonework is nicely done. One night we had a problem with a piece of furniture and Baptiste resolved it early the next morning. Baptiste and his business partner are very professional and I wish them well.

We really enjoyed staying at Isabel’s place. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and in the cozy living room. The location was ideal for our daily road trips on this beautiful island. Isabel was very quick to respond to any question we had. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! We felt welcome from the start and the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was a small situation during our stay, nothing related to the house or the hosts, but they were still super quick and attentive to help, which we thank you immensely. The location is also quite good: we can easily walk to what we need. You have to walk a little, but it's good for you. Overall, it was a great experience and we recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for everything!

The apartment is centrally located. Very clean and well stocked with all toiletries and kitchen supplies. They provided bread, cookies, coffee, sugar, oil, salt, spices among other things. We felt right at home. Plenty of towels, blankets.
