Barn accommodation in Scandinavia

Josef & Malin were great hosts & welcoming! Their place is a great spot to explore Öland from, was very cozy & convenient for us as a family of 4. Being in central Borgholm gives you many options for eating and shopping as needed during your stay. Close by are several tourist sites to explore as well keeping you busy for several days in the area. The guest house was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend and come back in the future!

We, a family of 3, had a great time at Allegonda's place. We loved the character, the location, and how accommodating Allegonda and Hans were. The place has all the emnities that you may need, we loved the fireplace. Would definately come back.

A wonderful swedish experience! Actually, one should keep this little paradise to oneself as a secret tip and share it only with very good friends :) The location of Magnus' small loft is a dream, situated with a slightly elevated terrace, overlooking the legendary landscape of the archipelago and finding oneself in the midst of nature. The grounds of the accommodation are like Bullerbü, with a beautiful stylish Swedish house attached and old fruit trees as well.There are paddle boats and canoes as well as bicycles, so you can move around perfectly to explore the islands. The loft is very cozy with typical Nordic charm, very comfortable, good beds, and a modern shower. A small kitchenette helps to self-cater occasionally. Magnus and his wife are very warm and welcoming hosts who always had good answers to all our wishes and questions. Magnus is an expert in giving tips about the surroundings and other parts of the country. Definitely a vacation that couldn't have been more beautiful.

Micke is a super host, everything was available, even charcoal if you wanted to barbecue. It was clean and neat. An extra plus was that it was organized in the stables for laundry and easy to recycle garbage. Wonderful walking paths, perfect for those of us who had a dog with us. Close to Visby and we were both north, south, east and west. Being able to charge the car was very smooth.

We had a lovely stay, and a great first airbnb experience. The apartment was nice and spacious, very clean & tidy and Lars was a great host, thank you :)

very warm and cosy renovated barn in a beautiful remote spot. the fire was lit for our arrival and really keeps the place warm. we had to change our plans a little as the avalanche risk was too high for ski ing and we really appreciated Tone's flexibility - thank you! Takk!

It was a really nice place and was very close to Astrid Lindgren's World, nice outdoor areas for our children.

My wife and I Had a great couple of days at Mostafa's place. The space is in a refinished section of their barn. Nice layout, nice design, really comfortable stay. It's a lovely spot in a mellow neighborhood, just a few minutes from the coast. Mostafa had tons of recommendations for where to eat and what to explore. Great meal right across the street. Great coffee, cafe just down the road. Great host, lovely part of the world, wish we had more time to hang.

The house was truly a little piece of paradise and very close to the lake. We loved staying there. The house is beautiful, clean and very practical, and the kitchen was so well equipped. The beds were made with great care when we arrived. Roos' kindness was truly remarkable. We will be happy to come back! One night was really too short, we wanted to do lots of activities around the area like kayaking or paddleboarding!!

Beautiful place for a countryside getaway.

The place is really nice! The old building has been beautifully renovated and still retains its old charm. The ceilings are a bit low, but that's due to age.

Great place with a lot of love for detail, even the kitchen is well equipped. Super location and perfect starting point for day trips in the area…Sylt, Föhr, Denmark. In addition, simply cozy and to feel good, very happy to come back 🧡

Beautiful place and well-kept apartment. Very comfortable beds and functional spaces. Very welcoming and friendly hosts, quick to respond and helpful. We had a very good time and definitely recommend it.

The apartment is located in a very quiet area on a relatively large farm surrounded by other farms. You have a wonderful view and are right next to the forest. There is a beautiful large lake within walking distance that we could not explore enough. Shopping is quickly accessible by car. Martin and Emma are really very nice hosts. They are happy to help you with any questions or concerns and otherwise give you all the freedom you need. The children were allowed to go into the chicken coop and to the rabbits and feed, pet and play there. Martin is very lovingly attentive to the needs of the children and even did a few laps with our big one on the lawnmower tractor. We were also able to enjoy really delicious eggs from the chicken coop. Unfortunately, the time was over way too fast, but we will definitely come again :) Hej då

We are super happy with our stay. We received a warm reception when we arrived and the fireplace in the fireplace was lit, which gave a homelike feel. Large spaces to socialise and a well-equipped kitchen. We'd love to come back.

Lars' place was perfect for our stay. We were in a pickle and needed accommodations close to our friend's place, and things could not have worked out better. We loved the candy and wine that were left for us at check-in and enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out were smooth, and we were even offered a very flexible check-in. Lars could not have been more accommodative. Thank you!

My son Alex was the actual guest and here is his commentary on his stay (since Airbnb doesn’t allow him to write a comment himself). Spoiler alert : it was a very good experience ! From Alex and Marilou « Our sincere thanks to Venise & Gaby for their warm welcome to this comfortable, carefully decorated tiny house, full of personality. 
The view over the fjord completes the magic already offered by the cabin. Moreover, we were able to enjoy the surrounding mountains and snow-covered forest during a wonderful walk. And Gaby offered to take us by car, giving us all the advice we needed. This is just one example of the many times they were there to help us make the most enjoyable experience possible. As an added bonus, we were able to taste their homemade beer, served with small snacks. It was perfect for a little Halloween movie night after the sauna !

Very luxurious house with lots of space. The location is on a hill which makes spotting northern lights easy. It’s also very conveniently located if you want to go skiing in Ylläs or just roaming around the nearby lakes. Access to groceries and restaurants is also very close by.

We spent one night in Julian and Jakob's apartment on the way. The apartment matched the description and everything went well. Special mention for the beautiful rural environment and the sheep grazing in the yard.

We had three great days at Jörgen's and looked at Arild and the surroundings on hiking trails. The apartment is an old horse stable that has been converted into a sweet apartment. A large kitchen with spices is available. There is also a small terrace with a charcoal grill. A common room with a washing machine is freely accessible and will be shared with another apartment next door. We highly recommend the apartment and enjoyed the stay very much.

Cozy house in tranquil surroundings.

Absolutely recommended, very very nice place, we felt right at home and had a very warm welcome. Emma and Anders are extremely nice hosts, you can talk to them very well and can learn exciting information about the farm, the animals and the surroundings. The accommodation (a 140-year-old, former barn) is furnished with a lot of love for detail (a highlight was, for example, two fresh bouquets of flowers on the tables) and has a unique charisma. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to cook delicious food. You can get fresh eggs from the barn and watch and pet animals (dog, cat, sheep, chickens, turkey) and explore the beautiful Skåne from the property. The beach is about 5-7 minutes by car, a supermarket can also be reached in this time. Our children and us liked it very much there and we felt completely comfortable. We will be happy to come back. :)
