I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The view from the Ice House immediately pulled us in. We probably could have spend the whole trip just looking out the front windows. The flat itself is well-appointed and comfortable. As others have noted, there are beautiful hikes close by. Right behind the Ice House, there is a short hike up a hill, where you can sit on a bench and take in the scenery. It’s an easy drive to Bergen and works as a home base for trips further afield as well. Per provides a booklet with many recommendations for things to do. Per is an excellent host who went well beyond the call of duty. We got in late, after the shops were closed, and Per kindly provided us with bread, jam, and sausage to get us through. Later in the trip, we got a flat tire, and Per spent his morning helping us get that taken care of. He showed us kindnesses we will not forget. If you are planning a trip to the Bergen area, book your stay at the Ice House. You’ll be glad you did.

Choose this place if you want to get away from the city but still stay close. You have to take the boat for grocery shopping - how cool is that! Nice place out in nature. Recommended!

Lotta and Miki welcomed us perfectly. The accommodation matches the photos, not very large but very functional, perfectly clean, in a quiet and warm environment. Our hosts were always available and gave good advice, in addition to being friendly. Access to the city center is quick and easy, we had a great stay in Stockholm! This 1-bedroom flat is perfectly located in Forsand, right by the fjord, with on-site parking available. It’s about a 45–50 minute drive from Stavanger and offers easy access to both passenger and car ferries — ideal if you plan to explore other parts of Norway. The location is excellent for hiking enthusiasts: just a 20-minute drive to Preikestolen, with ferry options to Kjerag and many other scenic spots nearby. The highlight of the stay is the stunning view from the living area, which opens directly onto a front porch with outdoor seating — a fantastic bonus for relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchen has limited counter space, so meal prep can be a bit tight, but it’s equipped with an induction hob for quick cooking. There are also two local supermarkets nearby (just check their opening hours in advance). Overall, this place is a gem — peaceful, scenic, and a great base for hiking and discovering Norway’s natural beauty. Tor, thank you for sharing your space!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The accommodations were perfect, but what really made the trip special was the owner, Kajsa. Her kindness and attention to detail were truly heartwarming. It's rare to encounter someone so genuinely caring and hospitable. I wish more people were like Kajsa—she's truly one of a kind! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming experience! 😊

we loved the cabin, it is well maintained and clean. The area is so peaceful and calm.

I loved so much this beautiful little hideaway. I felt instantly at peace when I arrived to the cottage and saw the ocean. The inside of the cottage was super cute, cozy and functional. The couch and bed were both perfect to rest on and the sauna gave out most soft and humide löyly (when you cast water to the hot stove). I also took several swims in the ocean. The water was still icy cold but I felt like a newborn when I came out of the water and took a deep breath in. I hope to be back soon. Thank you so much! It was a needed pause.

Very nice accommodation and great host.

Even tho it was located in the garden of the owner it felt pretty private. The surrounding area is peaceful and lovely. Easily accessible by car. The cabin was super clean. It was smaller than expected - for two people totally fine tho.

Best Airbnb I have been so far ! Very peaceful place, very clean and a lot to do with the kayak, sauna Jacuzzi ect… our host was very friendly, we had an incredible time. The pizza and breakfast was very good, and the little spa in the bathroom was really appreciated. We will come back for sure !

We have enjoyed staying in the annex. Lovely peaceful and quiet. There was everything we needed on our 4-day vacation. It was also easy to cycle into the center and back again along the many bike paths. A trip of 15-20 min. There was also plenty of space for parking the car.

We had a great stay at Martin‘s Cabin. It was located perfectly for me as a Fisherman, directly on the water. Unfortunately, Martin‘s boat was not usable due to a repair, but he managed to organise one instead right on the first day. Very nice! Nice Sauna with panoramic window onto the lake, very relaxing on a chilly night. 5/5!

The whole story of their homes and how and why, was completely in line with our hearts. Their way of creating something should be in a textbook. Once upon a time, many years ago, there was a master builder in Thisted called Madsen Jylland, he built many villas in Thisted, good beautiful houses, but only when he had the money for it, he never borrowed, so a house could be a while under construction. The way only I understand was also Lykke and Jacob's philosophy of "love of wisdom". so wonderful. Have a great summer in Funen and Ollerup Pia and Ole

If we could give this beautiful cabin 10 stars we would. It’s absolutely gorgeous & in an incredible location at the waters edge of a beautiful lake. Great views from the cabin & the sauna plus you have your very own private seating area and a bbq/fire seating area right by the lakeside. The hosts were brilliant and kindly showed us how things worked (sauna, aircon, hot tub etc). If you’re looking for a beautiful cabin and some private relaxation it doesn’t get better than this. With the added bonus of been only a few KMs from Rovaniemi and some great hikes

Cozy little apartment in the backyard of the farmhouse. Very quiet, very cozy, comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen. Parking in front of the door. The village is very quiet, only a small supermarket (closes at 7:00 pm. No veg. offer - too bad!) Only had written contact with the landlords, but everything worked out great. Good recommendation and happy to come back!

Mette was sweet and accommodating throughout the stay. She often asked about and there was something missing or something else she had to help with.

Cozy little house, in the valley. Direct access to trails around the valley. Clean and nice. Really nice view on 1 floor out of large window from where you can look out over the valley. We spotted many birds and deer as we sat in front of the panorama window reading. The house is located next to the host family house. We cycled there from tomelilla train station and it was easy to find. Good and quick communication with the hosts. Very good and helpful hosts.

We were on site for a week and felt very comfortable right from the beginning. The place is small but nice! The sauna is great if you come out of the cold. Janne gave us good tips for our hikes and even showed us reindeer. It's all within walking distance. You are very central, but still have the feeling of being in the forest. The small kitchen was completely sufficient for us to prepare our breakfast or heat something with you. Tour providers (e.g. for snowmobiling) right around the corner.

Incredibly idyllic little farm at the end of the gravel road surrounded by fields. Quiet and peaceful. Fantastically nice reception by the host's brother-in-law. Super nice service with breakfast. I have nothing negative to say, so incredibly grateful. We'll be staying here again!
