I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The view from the Ice House immediately pulled us in. We probably could have spend the whole trip just looking out the front windows. The flat itself is well-appointed and comfortable. As others have noted, there are beautiful hikes close by. Right behind the Ice House, there is a short hike up a hill, where you can sit on a bench and take in the scenery. It’s an easy drive to Bergen and works as a home base for trips further afield as well. Per provides a booklet with many recommendations for things to do. Per is an excellent host who went well beyond the call of duty. We got in late, after the shops were closed, and Per kindly provided us with bread, jam, and sausage to get us through. Later in the trip, we got a flat tire, and Per spent his morning helping us get that taken care of. He showed us kindnesses we will not forget. If you are planning a trip to the Bergen area, book your stay at the Ice House. You’ll be glad you did.

Choose this place if you want to get away from the city but still stay close. You have to take the boat for grocery shopping - how cool is that! Nice place out in nature. Recommended!

Lotta et Miki nous ont accueilli de manière parfaite. Le logement correspond aux photos, pas très grand mais très fonctionnel, parfaitement propre, dans un environnement calme et chaleureux. Nos hôtes étaient toujours disponibles et de bons conseils, en plus d’être sympathiques. L’accès au centre-ville est facile et rapide, nous avons passé un super séjour à Stockholms ! Juste un peu triste de n’avoir pas vu les daims 🥲 Merci encore ! Florine & Victor

This 1-bedroom flat is perfectly located in Forsand, right by the fjord, with on-site parking available. It’s about a 45–50 minute drive from Stavanger and offers easy access to both passenger and car ferries — ideal if you plan to explore other parts of Norway. The location is excellent for hiking enthusiasts: just a 20-minute drive to Preikestolen, with ferry options to Kjerag and many other scenic spots nearby. The highlight of the stay is the stunning view from the living area, which opens directly onto a front porch with outdoor seating — a fantastic bonus for relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchen has limited counter space, so meal prep can be a bit tight, but it’s equipped with an induction hob for quick cooking. There are also two local supermarkets nearby (just check their opening hours in advance). Overall, this place is a gem — peaceful, scenic, and a great base for hiking and discovering Norway’s natural beauty. Tor, thank you for sharing your space!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The accommodations were perfect, but what really made the trip special was the owner, Kajsa. Her kindness and attention to detail were truly heartwarming. It's rare to encounter someone so genuinely caring and hospitable. I wish more people were like Kajsa—she's truly one of a kind! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming experience! 😊

we loved the cabin, it is well maintained and clean. The area is so peaceful and calm.

I loved so much this beautiful little hideaway. I felt instantly at peace when I arrived to the cottage and saw the ocean. The inside of the cottage was super cute, cozy and functional. The couch and bed were both perfect to rest on and the sauna gave out most soft and humide löyly (when you cast water to the hot stove). I also took several swims in the ocean. The water was still icy cold but I felt like a newborn when I came out of the water and took a deep breath in. I hope to be back soon. Thank you so much! It was a needed pause.

Veldig fint opphold hos Heidi, stille og fredelig sted der vi fikk oss ei god natt søvn før vi fortsatte turen. Takk for oss!

Matti Mökki ylitti kaikki odotuksemme. Kaikki oli juuri niin kuin oli luvattu – ja vielä enemmän. Mökki oli sisältä todella huolellisesti suunniteltu ja viimeistelty, jokainen yksityiskohta oli mietitty tarkkaan. Tunnelma oli lämmin ja viihtyisä. Näkymä mökiltä oli suorastaan henkeäsalpaava: edessä avautui suuri, hyvin hoidettu, vehreä nurmikenttä, jota reunusti kaunis metsä. Maisema oli kuin postikortista – rauhallinen ja täydellinen rentoutumiseen. Suosittelemme lämpimästi tätä paikkaa kaikille, jotka kaipaavat laatua, luonnon rauhaa ja kaunista ympäristöä.

wow wow wow, alltså vilket ställe detta är! helt magisk plats med fantastiska värdar som fixar otroliga pizzor och en 5 stjärnig frukost och som är hjälpsamma och extremt välkomnande!! vi är så ofantligt glada över att vi valde detta stället att åka till! Hade gärna åkt dit igen! Skulle varmt rekommendera

Vi har nydt at bo i annekset. Dejligt fredeligt og roligt. Der var alt det vi havde brug for på vores 4 dages ferie. Det var også nemt at cykle ind til centrum og tilbage igen ad de mange cykelstier. En tur på 15-20 min. Der var også fin plads til parkering af bilen.

We had a great stay at Martin‘s Cabin. It was located perfectly for me as a Fisherman, directly on the water. Unfortunately, Martin‘s boat was not usable due to a repair, but he managed to organise one instead right on the first day. Very nice! Nice Sauna with panoramic window onto the lake, very relaxing on a chilly night. 5/5!

Hele historien om deres boliger og hvordan og hvorfor, var helt efter vores hjerter . Deres måden at skabe noget burde stå i en lærebog. der var en gang for mange år siden en muremester i Thisted kaldet: Madsen Jylland, han bygge mange villaer i Thisted, gode smukke huse , men kun når han havde pengene til det, han lånte aldrig derfor kunne et hus godt være et stykke tid undervejs. Den måde kun jeg forstå også var Lykke og Jacobs filosofi "kærlighed til visdom". så vidunderligt. Rigtig god sommer på Fyn og i Ollerup Pia og Ole

If we could give this beautiful cabin 10 stars we would. It’s absolutely gorgeous & in an incredible location at the waters edge of a beautiful lake. Great views from the cabin & the sauna plus you have your very own private seating area and a bbq/fire seating area right by the lakeside. The hosts were brilliant and kindly showed us how things worked (sauna, aircon, hot tub etc). If you’re looking for a beautiful cabin and some private relaxation it doesn’t get better than this. With the added bonus of been only a few KMs from Rovaniemi and some great hikes

Nydelig sted og Terje var veldig hjelpsom ✨ vanligvis bor jeg på hotell når jeg er på jobbreise i Kristiansand men dette gav mersmak! Kommer gjerne tilbake 💫

Kuscheliges kleines Appartement im Hinterhof des Bauernhauses. Sehr ruhig, sehr gemütlich, bequeme Betten, in der Küche alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Parkplatz vor der Türe. Örtchen ist sehr ruhig, nur ein kleiner Supermarkt (schließt im 19.00 Uhr. Kein veg. Angebot - schade!) Hatten nur schriftlich Kontakt mit den Vermietern, aber es hat alles super geklappt. Gute Empfehlung und gerne wieder!

Min kæreste og jeg havde 2 overnatninger i Rikkes hyggelige anneks. Vi reserverede boligen på selve ankomstdagen, blot et par timer før vi kunne tænke os at ankomme. Rikke godkendte vores reservation med det samme, og svarede på mine beskeder meget hurtigt. Hun gav også nogle gode anbefalinger til steder at spise i byen, som vi benyttede os af med stor tilfredshed. Rikke har også skrevet forslag til oplevelser i området på hendes “bolig side”, og det benyttede vi os også af. Annekset er hyggeligt indrettet og der er gjort meget for at gøre det hyggeligt. Det ligger i et roligt villa kvarter og i gå afstand til både byen og natur områder. Det var helt perfekt for os, og vil helt sikkert anbefale det til andre!

Mette var sød og imødekommende under hele opholdet. Spurgte tit ind til og der manglede noget eller var andet hun skulle hjælpe med.

Hyggeligt lille hus, i fyledalen. Direkte adgang til stier rundt i dalen. Rent og fint. Virkelig flot udsigt på 1 etage ud af stort vindue, hvorfra man kan se ud over dalen. Vi spottede mange fugle og hjorte mens vi sad foran panorama vinduet og læste. Huset ligger ved siden af værtsfamiliens hus. Vi cyklede dertil fra tomelilla togstation og det var let at finde. God og hurtig kommunikation med værterne. Meget flinke og hjælpsomme værter.

Wir waren eine Woche vor Ort und haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist klein, aber fein! Die Sauna ist toll, wenn man aus der Kälte kommt. Janne hat uns gute Tipps für unsere Wanderungen gegeben und uns sogar Rentiere gezeigt. Es ist alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Man liegt sehr zentral, aber hat trotzdem das Gefühl im Wald zu sein. Die kleine Küche war für uns völlig ausreichend, um unser Frühstück zuzubereiten oder etwas Mitgebrachtes zu erwärmen. Tourenanbieter (zB zum Snowmobilfahren) direkt um die Ecke.

Vi stannade 2 nätter. Jag, min gravida sambo och våra 2 hundar. Jättefin gård, mysigt läge. Bra parkering. Toppen att bli erbjuden frukost, Första gången jag fått det på airbnb. Stugan är mysig, med det man behöver för två personer. Önskar att man kunde stanna längre.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und gemütlich. Sie wirkt größer als auf den Bildern und man hat alles was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und auch das Boot konnten wir zweimal nutzen. Die Lage am See ist sehr schön aber auch Karinas Garten und man hat einige Sitzmöglichkeiten die man nutzen kann. Karina war sehr nett und wir kommen gerne wieder :)
