Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Scarborough State Beach

We spent a wonderful weekend at Rachel's home. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely. Many restaurants, beach, shopping and sites a short ride away. Rachel was responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend this house and area, just beautiful! We hope to visit again soon.

We loved this place! I loved the house decor and location. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the closest beach and there were lots of options for food. Narragansett beach was only 10 minutes away by car and had good food and shops as well! I would stay here again 100%.

We had three couples in their house. The house accommodated that quantity without issue. Kitchen was appropriately stocked with tools and appliances. Two decks were available, with the top one containing a small gas fire pit...Nice at night. The lower one had a bar-b-que grill. We never used it, but it was a good size. The driveway accommodated three vehicles, one of which was a Hummer, with room to spare. The were very responsive when we had a question or issue. No complaints from any of our guests. No problem recommending this place.

It was a very relaxing home surrounded by beautiful waterfront wildlife( a pair of swans and other birds ) and views. It was well worth the stay and I would like to stay there again and I would recommend it to family and friends in the future.

We had the best time the house is always amazing. We’ve stayed there before the yard is wonderful to play games with all your family. We just had the best best time anybody that rented this house would love it and have a great time as well. thank you, Jean Marie so much for sharing your fabulous home.

Loved staying at this little seaside cottage! Beautiful sunset view. Cute bunnies hopping around in the yard. Very helpful to already have linens & towels available on-site. Easy entry with access code, not having to carry a key was great. Beautiful neighborhood to walk around and look at the houses & the views. Neighbors were super friendly and everyone waved during our daily walks. Easy access point to the bay right down the street so we could paddleboard. Easy walk to George's (awesome tiki bar right on the beach in the sand - live music), Jimmy's Portside (delicious seafood - I say best in Narragansett!), seafood markets, shops, and other restaurants - as well as the Block Island ferry for a day trip. House was very bright/white and clean and peaceful.

This rental looked exactly like the pictures. The wine and bags of ice were very nice touches. The only thing that could have been better were some extra linens/towels. We stayed for 2 nights but we used this as a bridal suite while getting ready and ran out of towels quickly. Thankfully there was a washer and dryer for towels. It looks like they are slowly doing some updates so I’m sure it will look even more amazing when we come back. Can’t wait! Loved your home away from home.

Our family had a wonderful time at Leslie's place! We have stayed at a few different Airbnbs near Point Judith over the years, and this one was our favorite. The house was well stocked and even had a special surprise for our son who recently had a birthday. We appreciated the location, easy to walk to Scarborough Beach, and very quiet.

We loved our stay! It’s perfect distance to walk to dinner downtown. Off street parking was a huge plus. Brennan gave us a great recommendation upon our arrival! Love the touch of having snacks and drinks in the fridge. Overall perfect place to stay at in Newport!

We loved the location overlooking the bay. Very beautiful mornings. Only a short car ride from Newport. Elaine was very helpful and offered early check in and late check out proactively - very nice of her.

This apartment was perfect and adorable. Every detail was perfectly cared for. The house was just beautifully decorated! The hostess even baked us a delicious Irish soda bread. It exceeded our expectations!!!

I stayed at Larna’s place for just one night and regret not booking for longer. This has been my favourite location I’ve ever stayed at and gave me a new love for Newport. The place encapsulates Newports charm with a coastal and updated theme in such a historical and amazing building. Larna and Dan supply quite literally everything you could think of if you forget to pack it. There were toothbrushes, body wash, snacks, extra blankets, even fresh muffins from the local bakery. The house felt so cozy. Dan was incredibly welcoming and kind helping with luggage upon arrival and showing us around the rooms. I recommend for groups of 2-4 people, I’d say 5 if someone is willing to sleep on the couch…which I would do as it was wicked comfortable! I highly recommend booking this stay, I wish I had more time spent here and will look forward to booking again and recommending to other people. I feel privileged to have spent time in such a fascinating location with such amazing history!

Clean, cute, and convenient. You are only about 10-15 minutes away from days worth of things to do around southern RI, but can go back there and rest in the quiet and comfort as of you live there away from all the noise for a very reasonable price for where you are and what you get. Her beautifully maintained flower garden was definitely an extra perk to make the place even cozier than it is and gave a wonderful smell when hanging out on the covered porch in the evenings. The apartment was even bigger than I thought it was going to be and was perfect for me and my fiancé to be able to spread out and relax. The apartment was incredibly cleaned and well maintained from front room to kitchen to bathroom to bedroom better than any hotel I’ve stayed at while still keeping that lived-in charm that makes it feel like home. Linens were crisp and clean and we loved the cleanliness and softness of the bed, was definitely great for weary legs lol 110/10 for this place! Will stay again!

Jane’s place was the perfect spot to relax while exploring the area. Her use of the space really impressed us. Great decor and everything you needed was there. Clean and cozy. Would stay again for sure!

We had a lovely stay at Pelham Court! The location was the perfect spot to be near the main attractions around Thames Street and convenient to walk elsewhere. We loved having a private parking spot for our car as well. Bonus perk for being able to bring our dog with us! The hosts checked on us every evening if we needed anything—provided recommendations, and were super friendly and welcoming! Only downside to being so close to downtown is the loud noise from a nearby bar late at night on weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Newport/Pelham Court and hope to come visit again in future! Thanks for having us! :)

Our stay at Trip and Christina’s place was excellent. It is perfectly decorated and we loved the peacefulness of deck for early morning coffee as well as enjoying our meals alfresco. Perfect location close to bus station for tours of Newport and transportation to the mansions. We unexpectedly arrived super and Christina was a gracious host and invited us in while she completed preparing the place for our stay. Very responsive and accommodating hosts.

This is our second year staying at this location. It’s extremely close to all the restaurants and the beach. Liang is an amazing host! Always very responsive and ready to help. Will stay here again in the future! Thank you!!

This place was great! It was wonderful to stay in such a historic building. The apartment was very clean and tidy, the check-in/check-out instructions were very easy, and the host also provided suggestions for nearby restaurants. I definitely recommend this place!

Liliane's place is a great find. It is in a very convenient location in Newport where you can walk to the water and multiple shops and restaurants. The space is filled with light and it was very clean. It's a very comfortable place to come back to after exploring Newport. Liliane was a fantastic host, very responsive and provided very clear instructions. We would stay here again.

I cannot recommend Kelly’s place highly enough! Truly the perfect getaway spot. Close to everything and if you just want to relax you feel very much at home!

This is a ground level apartment in an historic home just off Benefit Street, a prime location on Providence’s College Hill. Because of the sloped terrain, it might seem like a basement apartment from one side, but it has a garden entrance at the front door. If you can handle the steep streets in this hilly area, it’s a perfect location if you want to be within walking distance of Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Downtown Providence. I did not rent a car while staying here and never felt I needed one. Tall travelers should be aware that this dwelling has low ceilings by modern standards. That didn’t bother me in the slightest; in fact, it made the apartment feel more cozy. Nevertheless, visitors over six feet tall should be aware of this aspect and make an informed decision. The apartment has a warm, comforting esthetic with all sorts of art on the walls and books on the shelf, and both made a great background for video conferences using the robust wifi signal.

We love staying here. This was our 3rd or 4th year in a row that we stayed here. It is a great location so close to the beach and the inlet. The unit is always neat and clean and Courtney and Chris are great hosts.
