Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Schönau am Königssee

WOW! When we saw the photos of the property during the book, we wondered if reality could catch up with us sobering. But the opposite occurred: It's even nicer on site than in the photos. You can easily check into a feel-good oasis. A warm feeling of home with clean character at the same time, a perfect mix. For me personally, it was a first holiday that was supposed to have a real relaxation frame and had a big share of success in the great Casa. Fireplace set at the touch of a button, leisurely hours on the window sill overlooking the distance and the cable car, then a sauna with mountain panorama and before going to bed - by the way in a great bed - a swimming pool stay. What more could you ask for (or even a woman)? The kitchen offers all the options to take care of yourself. Our dog also felt "bully"comfortable and enjoyed the long walks that are offered around the chalets. Great!!!

Perfect place to spend the week with the family. Lots to do within a short drive. Felt like home and had everything we needed and more! Great that there was a washer and dryer.

The stay with Margarete was very pleasant. She is a kind and helpful host. The accommodation is lovingly decorated and very clean. Only a freezer compartment and some kitchen utensils (peeler, grater, scissors) were missing. Overall, however, it was super nice and absolutely recommended. :)

Had a great short stay! The apartment is centrally located in Kaprun, so you can quickly get anywhere on foot as well as by bus (ski rental, hiking trails, bike paths, Tauerntherme, town center with shops and restaurants). The apartment and also the garden area are at the same time lovingly designed and we felt very comfortable with Nina and her family.

Even the greeting by Pauline conveyed a good feeling of being welcome. It was like staying with friends.

Accommodation was very nice. It was a little warm, but there were also two fans. The facility was great. Everything was clean. Nothing was missing. Hosts were very kind and accommodating. We were on the road a lot and it was always pleasant to come back to the accommodation. Very cozy.

We had a wonderful time at Karin's accommodation. Karins parents welcomed us very lovingly, with an extra game basket for our 18-month-old daughter, tips for the area and just a nice conversation. The accommodation is quietly located on the upper floor - you have your privacy and everything your heart desires. The garden was also great. We will be happy to come back.

wow, what more can you say about this place. it is in the most beautiful location, hidden in the valley with wonderful views either side. Franz and family were lovely and accommodating, really helpful before arrival, and during my stay. I was working remotely for a few days, so did not get to enjoy the local bars and restaurants, but there was a very convenient large supermarket at the bottom of the road. Despite the wet weather, I went on runs and hikes in the area, crossing over the border into Germany, and the surroundings are beautiful. There also appears to be a very reasonable priced swimming pool nearby which i wish i was able to make the most of. Travel on the 180 bus from Salzburg Hbf was also very easy. Being able to enjoy the terrace come rain or sun made the whole stay very peaceful and enjoyable. there is a small kitchen to make some meals, the bedroom and living space is well equipped, and the private bathroom is also very good. We spent some very nice days at the property. The place was very clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. Nicely decorated and well appointed. Perfect location to hike directly from the accommodation but also to make excursions (e.g. Königssee or Salzburg). The beautiful place is easy to reach on foot, there are shopping and refreshment options. Dennis was very friendly and communication was super easy. We can only recommend it!

Absolute recommendation! The area of Maria's accommodation is like paradise. The view, the tranquility, simply fabulous. The accommodation is really nice and there was nothing we lacked. Maria's hospitality is particularly noteworthy. She made us feel at home. She always gave personal tips on hikes and local events. There is much more to be said here, but unfortunately the characters are not enough. The fresh hay milk and eggs directly from our own cow and chickens were also special. It was really wonderful! Thank you! ☺️

We stayed 4 nights with Sabrina and Christian. The apartment was very clean and lovingly furnished. We lacked nothing. There are beautiful hiking trails right outside the door and the Predigtstuhlbahn (cable car) can also be reached on foot. They were beautiful days. We will be back! 😍

This was such a lovely place to stay--the view from the balcony over the river is gorgeous, and Rolf and his wife (I don't recall your name, sorry!) were very friendly and helpful. The entrance is in a bit of a weird spot but Rolf stood out in front waving and showed us to it. We loved opening the window to have the white noise from the Wassertreppe (water stairs, a man-made stone cascade in the river) to fall asleep to at night. It was also a nice location because of the proximity to the Hauptbahnhof, and the walkable plaza of the old town is about a 10 minute walk away.

Nestled between Konigsee and Salzburg, this accommodation was ideal for adventurers who love hiking like us! Delicate attention from Marcus to leave coffee, tea and seasoning for late or express arrivals Your nights will be restful with this superb bedding. What more could you ask for?

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay at Marina’s place. The view was absolutely stunning, and the whole vibe of the home felt cozy and calming. It was exactly what we needed to unwind. Marina was a fantastic host—super responsive and kind, making sure everything was perfect. We really felt at home and didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful spot to recharge, this is the place.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Schönau am Königssee. The place is super modernly furnished and sparkling clean – you immediately feel comfortable here. We were particularly impressed that really everything you need in everyday life was available. From the fully equipped kitchen to small amenities that make the stay even more enjoyable. Communication with the owners was excellent – quick, friendly and uncomplicated. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on hospitality here. Overall, a perfect place to stay that we can fully recommend. We will definitely be happy to come back! – 5/5 stars!

Absolutely the nicest apartment that we’ve been to. Has a really nice view. But the thing is, the apartment has a veranda with a ceiling. We spent a lot of time there, also when it was raining. We ate breakfast there. We could see the view without the interference of a window. It was something. Birgit the host was fluent in English. This is not the case always with an Austrian host. In summary, this apartment was a true find. Could be the best deal in Flachau

The apartment is great, we felt very comfortable! It really has everything you need. Check-in and check-out were straightforward and we were allowed to leave our luggage on the day of departure, so we could spend another day at the lake. Rainer is very warm and helpful. The fruit provided, the sparkling wine to welcome us and the sweets were very nice. We would have really liked to have stayed longer - if we end up at Lake Schliersee again, we will be happy to come back to this apartment!

Everything was perfect! Even the sofa was very comfortable to sleep on with a good mattress. Kitchen super equipped. The terrace is very cozy. Elisabeth is a very friendly and helpful hostess. We would have liked to have spent more time here.

Great place and amazing view of the Austrian mountains.

Wonderful, responsive hostess. Bea’s apartment is cozy and chic. Apartment was clean and well equipped for our 9 day stay. Bed was comfortable. The apartment is in a private home, situated in a peaceful neighborhood. Wonderful views of the mountains. Salzburg is a quaint town where the locals are friendly and the surroundings mountains are magnificent and the nearby lakes are emerald green. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a very good stay, the environment is very peaceful, great if you want to spend a quiet stay near nature and visit Munich. Please note, there is a 20-minute walk between the accommodation and the train station, the only downside :-)

This apartment was spacious and within 20 minutes walk of historic Salzburg. A bus stop is conveniently located across the street. We appreciated Gregor’s responsiveness to our questions. We had the opportunity to meet his parents and found them to be lovely people. Be sure to bring your own shampoo and coffee. We would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Nora & Peter's property recently. The apartment looks even better than the photos and the view is absolutely breathtaking. We have enjoyed our tea in the balcony watching beautiful sunsets. The apartment is very well equipped and very thoughtful designed by the hosts. Everything is exceptionally clean . The kitchen was also very well stocked which was helpful for us to make meals occasionally. We also were in love with this town, loved to walk by the lake. Its so peaceful. In the summers, this lake is filled with water activities, swimming etc. There is a small convenient store 2 min down the road. Nora and Peter were constantly in touch with us and were very helpful from the start to the end. This is one of the best properties we have lived in and Nora & Peter are absolutely the best hosts which made our stay so memorable. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
