Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Selfoss

We really liked the place and the hot tub...Only problem...We had the window open the second night and there were so many midges coming in....... It has nothing to do with the house but might be good to know... Apart from that we had a very good time.

Vi havde en skøn uge i det hyggelige hus på landet nede af grusvejen. Værterne var meget hjælpsomme og fandt også tid til en rundvisning, hvor vi fik lov at se dyrene på gården. Både får, geder, køer og heste. Alt i huset var pænt og rent, og sengene var meget komfortable. Køkkenet havde alt hvad man havde brug for til nem madlavning, og værterne havde givet gode instruktioner til seværdigheder, restauranter og indkøb i området. Dejligt ophold!

Ari’s rental is gorgeous and very comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Ari is kind and gracious. We arrived a little early, and he was still finishing up preparing the house. The whole south of Iceland had a power outage, and he was so apologetic about some minor problems that loss of power created. Not his fault, obviously. I really appreciate the opportunity to rent from people like Ari who go above and beyond!!

Die Lage und die Ausstattung sind ein Traum für alle, die etwas ruhiges, zurückgezogenes suchen, wo sie einfach nur von der Veranda aus die Landschaft Islands genießen möchten. der Ausblick ist unglaublich, man hat seine Ruhe und kann mit dem Auto gut die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung anfahren. Die Gastgeber waren jederzeit erreichbar für Nachfragen und unglaublich freundlich. jederzeit wieder.

The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus. Check-in was easy, and the location was simple to find. The views were stunning, and enjoying coffee on the deck each morning was a highlight. The drive to Reykjavik and nearby attractions was very manageable (about 30 minutes for most places we visited). One helpful tip: consider where you'll spend most of your time. We explored the southern coast mostly and didn’t fully realize how tiring longer drives would feel after full days out. This is by no means a downside to the house or its location—both were wonderful! It’s simply a helpful tip for others planning their itinerary: take travel times into consideration based on your daily plans. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and truly appreciated the comfort and beauty of this home and our host was great!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr hübsch und mit liebe gestaltet. Wir konnten flexibel einchecken und es war alles super! Die Farm ist ebenfalls sehr schön mit süssen Tieren und idyllischer Landschaft. Man muss jedoch wissen, dass die Anfahrt eine Gravel-Road ist und man am besten mit einem Geländewagen anreist.

I stayed at the Hekla Comfort House with my father and brother for two nights during a 6 day trip in Iceland. My father hadn't been to Europe since the 70's and this was our first time traveling just the three of us. We loved every minute of our stay and wish we could have extended our time there. Such a lovely home and the hosts have clearly thought of every last amenity their guests may need. We drove a lot exploring the South coast and it was so wonderful to come back to this place after a long day in the car. Many thanks for sharing your special home with us!

We absolutely LOVED the Villa. It was immaculate, modern and so well stocked. Hosts were ideal and it was one of my favorite venues ever. So many comfortable beds and the ideal spot to achieve our bucket list objective of seeing the Northern Lights. We’ll never forget this stay. Thank you!

We loved that the home felt peaceful and remote, even though it was easy to access from highway 1. As soon as we arrived, we felt we could relax in Sara's clean and cozy home with all its nice amenities. We loved the heated towel rack in the bathroom! The trampoline was an unexpected bonus for our son, who immediately started jumping off his excess energy from the car ride.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mountain’s Villa. Beautiful, spotless and ideal for our group of 7, but it could easily accommodate 10. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, each with double beds; a common area with a sofa bed; full bathroom; balcony; and entrance to the glass dome. On the first floor, there is a great room with living area, dining area and extremely well-stocked kitchen (rare for Airbnb rental). First floor also has a bedroom with a double bed and crib and full bathroom with laundry. There was a lot of thought put into the home, from the design to the lock box for the dishwasher tablets (for child safety)—even a bowl full of “Mountain Villa” branded chocolates in the living room—such a nice touch! I wish we hadn’t booked as many hot spring visits, as we could have taken better advantage of the hot tub, cold plunge and sauna—which were lovely. My husband and I took part in the lifting stones challenge in the front lawn—and I was pleased to lift the 45 kg stone to the pedestal.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The home was spotless and very comfortable for 6 guests. It was the best stocked Air BnB we have stayed in over 8 years. Our host met us and guided us to the location which is a little hard to find in a rural setting. Evening walks were beautiful surrounded by flowers wherever you looked. The birds, sheep and horses made the walks even more special. We would highly recommend it to other guests. Our host was easy to communicate and always responded quickly to my questions.

This was a really beautiful place to stay, we loved it. House was spotless and so well equipped and warm. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Location was amazing and the views are incredible. The high snow fall did make getting out of the driveway difficult, but that was part of the adventure.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin! The space was spotless, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. It offered the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience—quiet and relaxing, yet close to great attractions and things to do in the area. The host was exceptionally accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in comfort and nature!

Sigurdur’s place is outstanding. Easy to get to, near everything we could have needed and a short drive to many attractions. This exceeded our expectations and will stay again on our next trip.

Although we had to end our trip early, our time at Jon’s cabin was very enjoyable. Check in instructions were easy to follow and the location is convenient to Golden Circle attractions. The cabin itself is so cozy with the most comfortable beds and couch. We traveled with our 19 month old and found it to be an easy place for him to move about and for us to keep an eye on him (just be careful with stairs to the loft). We appreciated the baby amenities provided and the baby loved pointing out the cabin’s fun decor. The sauna and hot tub were the perfect way to end the day and easy to use with unmatched views. Overall, a lovely cabin and very responsive host.

We had the most relaxing and peaceful stay at Anna's place for our honeymoon. We booked this place last minute after needing a break from our week long trip in a campervan and it turned out even better than expected. We enjoyed spending time in the sauna and hot tub and even saw an artic fox running near the cabin. Anna was very helpful and responsive regarding any questions I had. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful home near Þingvellir National Park. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or soaking in the hot tub under the midnight sun, the scenery never stopped impressing us. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after long days of exploring and made the experience feel like a true Icelandic escape. Our host was fantastic! Super responsive and helpful throughout the entire stay. They even arranged a thoughtful welcome basket with wine and snacks, which made us feel instantly at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Iceland adventure. Highly recommend!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem süßen Cottage und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Man konnte super abschalten und unwahrscheinlich viel in der Gegend unternehmen. Wir können das Cottage auf jedenfall empfehlen 😊😊😊 Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt, Dankeschön!

Marteinn welcomed us in his lovely house. It was clean and comfortable and there were lots of birds around the house. He was very quick in responding and we felt right at home. Thank you!

It was excellent experience and spacious house with big kitchen and even washing machine &dryer. Top notch is hot tub with water coming from natural hot springs. My family n kids enjoyed a lot.

I came to Versalir Cabin for a few nights with my husband and our two small children. The cabin was very comfortable especially on our first night when it was raining and very windy, the accommodations were SO cozy! The cabin was exactly as pictured and described and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. I expected to have a harder time finding the cabin as the instructions for getting there mentioned that my GPS may only take us 90% of the way there, and that I should rely on the written directions for the rest of the way. We did print out the written directions however my apple maps took us right there anyway so that was a relief and made it easy for the rest of our trip as we were coming and going to be able to rely on GPS. The location was under 20 minutes to downtown Selfoss and probably 15 minutes to Kerid Crater, under an hour to many other main locations one would want to visit as well like Gullfoss and the Geysir. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! :)

What a beautiful spot, could not rate it more highly, the photos do not do it justice, the views are stunning, exactly what we were hoping for…would recommend it to anyone
