Great stay! The place looks like how they show it in the images :)

The house was very cute, clean and a great space for our family. We loved the balcony overlooking the stream; it was a beautiful space to sit and drink coffee/relax. The surrounding area was close to restaurants and shops. It was a little difficult to find at first because taxis cannot drive to the front door and you will have to walk through a small street or along the stream to locate the front door. However, once we found the front door everything went smoothly. We would highly recommended this place to a small family!

Big family, initially was worried about space and if everyone would be comfortable. the place turned out perfect, made break fast at home easily for the kids and elderly folks with the fresh produce bought nearby! superb experience!

値段の割にとても広く快適な部屋だった。また滋賀に来る際は確実に宿泊先の候補に挙がると思う。

Kazuya was an amazing host- everything was perfect for our group when we arrived. The home was the best airbnb we stayed in Japan for sure! We stayed with two young kids- was very walkable, safe and convenient for our group. Would absolutely recommend this property if you are in Kyoto!

Haru San was a wonderfully warm host. From receiving and dropping me back at Shigaraki station to driving me to the Cultural park and the Maruni tool shop she was most helpful and prompt in her responses. The place is very beautiful and green and surrounded by rice fileds, hills and forests. Would love to go back in the future.

May was terrific. If you want to live like a local in a high-end apartment, this place is it. Beautifully decorated. No shoes. Proper heated bathtub. 4 floor walkup. Not a place for big suitcases as staircase is very narrow by USA standards but spacious in the rooms with large closets. The tatami bedroom is lovely. But for those who want a western bed, the 2 small singles with very firm mattresses are an alternative.

Très bon séjour ! Sumi est toujours prête à rendre service pour faciliter notre séjour. Appartement très bien équipé et confortable ! Très bien placé pour se rendre où l’on veut ! Merci beaucoup pour tout ! Et une mention particulière pour le café, thé, et petits bonbons !

Die Wohnung hatte ein sehr sehr gute Lage und wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen. Auch die Einrichtung war schön klassisch und modern zugleich. Uns hat es wirklich gut gefallen. Gerne wieder !:)

Sumi was the best host I’ve ever had. So warm and friendly. Always willing to help with everything! She even drove us to the train station. The location was perfect and so many things to see nearby. The apartment was also spacious. Thank you Sumi! You are one of a kind. We really loved our stay!

Additional plus for terrace with a view on city. Sumi recommend us some places where we could find local specialities. She also drop us off us to station. Full recommendation!

Fantastic and very accessible location in buzzing area of Gion and the wider Kyoto region with great views of the river yet quiet and relaxing. Hosts are wonderfully proactive, providing everything you need pre, during and post our stay. We loved the place and the hosts were outstanding. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience feel warm and personal. The space was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. It was also a great way to experience a more local and authentic side of Kyoto. I’m really grateful for their hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

Mein Aufenthalt war einfach großartig. Yasuyuki Hoshino und seine Frau sind äußerst nette, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Gegend ist wunderschön, und ich habe mich vom ersten Tag an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wirklich jedem wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

5 star to everything! the host, the unit, the location, the communication etc. The unit is spacious enough for four adults, it is clean, quite, We found it to be an easy walk to downtown anywhere. The host is very responsive, communicated well before making the check-in process and stay very smoothy. If we could come again to kyoto we will definitely stay May’s unit ! Thank you May!
