Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sidmouth

We booked a 3 night stay in the week. Harry’s place was fantastic. He supplied enough breakfast items to feed a few people, which was such a bonus . The house was lovely, really homely and comfortable. Our pooch was catered for too. Some really beautiful walks from the house into the woods, which we all enjoyed. The coast was about 30mins drive, which we did visit. One thing to note, some of the local restaurants/takeaways were not open until midweek which wasn’t a deal breaker but good to know. The Pig at Combe was a great place to visit and eat, dogs allowed in the Folly, highly recommend. Communication from Harry was great and we did get to meet him as they only live next door. We would definitely like to visit again.

We had a lovely few days, property was extremely well furnished, very comfortable and clean and we had a very friendly welcome. Excellent base for enjoying Sidmouth and the surrounding area.

Great spot close to the beach and town. The house felt spacious but cosy and was well equipped as well as being very clean. Would definitely visit again!

The guest cottage was exactly as described. A lovely 'home from home' with some beautiful little touches that made it a special place to stay. The cottage and garden were peaceful and private and secure for our dogs. Maxine has thoughtfully laid on so many amenities in the cottage, it just made our stay so much more enjoyable. Sidbury is a small village with a convenience store/butchers and a pub, The Red Lion. Both are within a few minutes walk of the cottage. The Red Lion was super friendly with good beer and food. An excellent host and place to stay.

York House, attached to the royal York hotel, is a stunning setting to either relax and unwind in Sidmouth or explore the Devonshire coast. We stayed over New year for a week, and what a break. So relaxing. The house was comfortable, homely and perfect for four adults and two children. you can hear noise from neighbouring places, which didn't bother us but on the first night did worry us as could hear footsteps. don't be alarmed it's just upstairs! Amenities both in the house and I'm local area are perfect. lovely bathrooms and showers. televisions smart with all streaming options could need! would definitely love to stay again and would recommend to everyone. Lastly, the view, undisturbed, perfect sea view, watching the sun rise and sun set, the sound of waves whilst drifting to sleep was idyllic!!

Wow! What more can I say! This was such a delightful place and an absolute gem to find. Loved the decor, everything was so tastefully decorated and was absolutely right up our street; the cute private garden was one of our favourite spots. There's nothing negative to say, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Laura for hosting us, we would definitely stay here again and hopefully for a bit longer as it's such a good base for exploring whatever your taste might be. We were doing a nature trip this time round but hopefully next time we will get to see more of the fantastic coasts. ❤️

Fabulous few days staying at The Annexe. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is there for you. Clean and comfortable with a pretty garden to sit in. Beautiful place with lovely views. Debbie and Derek are wonderful hosts, always on hand for advice on places to visit and to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This has to be the best ever beachfront apartment we have stayed in. Spectacular views, spacious balcony, superbly equipped and everything worked without any hassle. The Leisure Club is an added bonus for me - brilliant pool, fitness equipment and the jacuzzi plus the outdoor terrace and restaurant with great meals, especially the (takeaway available too) fish and chips. The purpose of this trip was a holiday for my 94 year old Mother - above all the apartment was very safe/secure, accessible, the few steps to the 1st floor are manageable and the lift means getting into the apartment is easy. Totally recommend this apartment!

Great location, with amenities - and views across Charmouth to the sea - just as shown in photos. Just 10 minutes or so wander downhill to the sea and only half a mile from the village centre with a good (early until 9.00pm) convenience store, small bakery, pharmacy and pubs. Lots of coastal and inland walks within relatively short drives and easy access to Lyme Very responsive host.

Tina's place is really comfortable and peaceful. It's easy to find, and has good access to Exeter and Cranbrook so there are no issues with getting food and things like that. The place itself was very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed nattering with you and oh – the view and the sound of the waves was great – and this from a Cornishman who grew up watching the coast. Thanks both. Amazing stay at this lovely flat right across from The beach with sea views. The home is super quiet and the tub was amazing to relax after walking around the town. Very close to delicious restaurants like Lobster Longue. The host was so responsive and gave amazing local recommendations for food. And it’s a short 10min walk from the train station if you’re traveling in by. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Wonderful, friendly hosts that make you feel right at home. You have complete independence and privacy. On top of everything else VFM was also 5 star !

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was centrally located with all amenities close by. We appreciated having a parking space. We enjoyed the tramway, Seaton marshes, walking to Colyford and Colyton also walks along the costal path to Beer and beyond. We ate at the Old Garage Colyford, it was excellent. Very helpful hosts, many thanks.

Had an amazing stay here, the property is lovely and in a perfect location The waterbed was a shock but actually pretty comfy and slept really well. Had an internet issue which Ali resolved even though she was in Spain, great host and would definitely recommend this property

We've stayed at their studio with 2 adults and a 5year old kid for 7 nights. We've had everything that we could ask for. Amazing place, amazing supportive hosts. Spotless clean place, fantasticly well looked after, beautiful interior. Nik and Rich are always there when needed, but they as well absolutely respect the guest's privacy. Even they live next door, you wouldn't see them if you didn't want or need to. As a German visitor I can highly recommend their place and their warm hearted hospitality. You feel home away from home!

The flat was in a perfect location for marina, beach and the strand with local bars, cafes and local places to eat. The kitchen super equipped with everything. Super comfy bed lovely towels and plenty of them. Could not have been more pleased when we arrived. Would definitely book again without hesitation if we returned to exmouth. Beautiful apartment with stunning views. brand new bathroom with walk in shower and lovely Neal's Yard products which smell amazing. Welcome pack of food goodies including milk, butter, croissants cheese, jam, marmalade and a bowl full of fresh fruit. Couldn't have asked more from our hosts Lynne and Neal. This apartment was a great find for us, and having its own parking made our stay very straightforward being so close to the harbour. Everything was super clean and well appointed, and cared for. I would certainly recommend this as an example of what is best about Airbnb.

Great little hideaway in stumbling distance of a bustling high street with great pubs and restaurants. The accommodation is very comfortable and very well equipped.

We had a lovely stay at Julia’s in Topsham, we had great communication from Julia and she was very accommodating with a late check out. Looked exactly as the photos, quiet and cosy and clean. Would recommend! Also very close to all the shops and pubs.

We had a perfect short stay here! Helen's communications were especially friendly and helpful. The accommodation was just right for a family of four, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout (such as a welcome note, lavender bags on pillows, provision of milk enough for us all for our breakfasts, toys for the children including a hilarious interactive duck, lounge blankets, bathroom flannels, table napkins etc.). The apartment has everything you might need including umbrellas, and much more. Parking is indeed easy and very closeby. The beach and Seafield Gardens with a good playground) are a short walk away. There is so much to do in the area. We enjoyed the nearby Donkey Sanctuary and Lyme Regis, and are keen to return to explore more sometime.
