Chalet holiday rentals in South Hams District

We had a lovely stay at Alan' place despite the rain, it was great to have access to the swimming pool at these times! It was very peaceful at the chalet but not too much of a walk to the club house or the beach so I'd recommend this to both families or couples.

Lovely place with close access to The Thatch and the beach. Perfect for a few nights away surfing with friends.

The view was fantastic, and the garden was sheltered; you could sit in the sun. The coastal path runs just behind it, so you can walk, but the plants hardly let you know when people are coming. The pub within walking distance had great food, so if you don't want to go out for a day there are great options nearby. All in all, definitely worth repeating!

What a beautiful place, so peaceful and the lodge was so cute. Ian met us on arrival and showed us around and told us all the info we needed, he also gave us freshly baked scones which was such a lovely touch. Just outside the lodge there was so much space for our daughter's to play and ride around on some bikes borrowed from the farm. The location was ideal and not too far from a town or a day on the beach. We will definitely be returning as we've had the most lovely holiday and actually feel we relaxed being in such a quiet, picturesque spot.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this forest chalet. The location is incredibly serene—nestled among trees with a stunning view of the sea, it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the stress of everyday life. The chalet itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, or take quiet walks in nature. The host was also very responsive and welcoming, making the whole experience smooth and comfortable from start to finish. The Duck House was a very quaint accommodation in lovely surroundings. Set within the grounds of Jo’s house, but felt very private with its own enclosed, sizeable garden, and direct access to a heated pool in a poly tunnel. The Duck House itself is a converted, well, duck house. It has all you could need for a family who are not looking for a 5* all mod con experience. It had an ample kitchen, lots of fridge and freezer space, two bedrooms both of which were perfect. The master bedroom was very plush and a super comfy bed. The kids bedroom was well sized for 2. It was generally clean to a good standard, there were lots of small spiders to remove for the squeamish, but only the lanky harmless looking ones. Nothing more than you’d expect from such a location. The pool was such an unusual bonus, heated to 30deg and well tended by Jo. Jo and doggy Ruby were super welcoming, and really made us feel at ease. A thoroughly enjoyable, quiet and relaxing stay. Our two dogs loved it!

Kevin's place is a very cool, alternative place to stay. Off grid and super chilled. I would stay there again.

Mike & Anna have made me and my partner so welcome, we really enjoyed our stay there, they were also very informative about local pubs, restaurants and things to do, we would love to return to their lovely lodge.

We had a wonderful stay. The area is lovely and it was very peaceful - just the calming sound of the waves nearby. With 3 beautiful beaches, each with their own character, within a few minutes' walk, it was so easy to explore without necessarily travelling much. We really enjoyed staying in the chalet - it had everything we needed and our holiday was a joy.

Our first time using Airbnb and Maggie made it very easy. Lovely little chalet with beautiful views. Maggie was responsive to messages and all her instructions were very clear. We had a great week and my young children loved it. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. This is a beautiful place. The views are outstanding. We were very comfortable here and had everything we wanted. The bed was so comfy, plenty of hot water, tv, WiFi and phone reception was perfect. We would like to return. Thank you Heather

Chalet is clean, welcoming and in a great place with wonderful views. Chalet is well equipped for catering and comfortable for relaxing. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Nick’s chalet and we look forward to visiting again next year

location to die for. right on the beach, stunning views and a really unique stay. everything you need is provided, place is really clean and sitting out on the terrace with a glass or two of wine watching the boats go by and the tide come in is truly wonderful.

It was so lovely to arrive ,open the door and be wowed by the place , it was comfortable and clean and Susanne had left some nice treatsfor us .she was available to contact for any questions and very friendly ,i would definately recomend her

This was our first trip as a family of three and Eszter’s place was just what we were looking for! It had everything we needed, with a beautiful view and wonderful walks. Highly recommend it!

Wow! What an amazing place this is - it’s even more beautiful than the pictures! Jo and David are wonderful hosts, David even met us at the car park and helped up carry our bags down to the property. Great communication from Jo before we arrived with really clear instructions, super flexible with arrival time. We had the most wonderful weekend and will absolutely be back, can’t fault it, absolutely no negatives.
