Barn accommodation in Southern France

A beautiful moment of relaxation after a long motorcycle ride. Swimming pool, fountain, lights, pleasant and well-arranged natural space. a much appreciated breakfast to start the day. i recommend it.

We had a great time! Iris's welcome was very warm, the accommodation very nice, cozy, quiet and perfectly located. Even though the sun hasn't always been there, Iris's valuable tips allowed us to discover and enjoy Luchon and its surroundings to the fullest. A big thank you!

Well equipped and good location. We had a great month by the fire, quiet, surrounded by nature. Close to small towns with activities, supermarkets and 20min from Perigueux About 2 hours from Sarlat and other beautiful sites in the Dordogne. Even though a lot of things are closed in January, we didn't get bored! Easy and pleasant communication with Jacques and his daughter Claire-Helene. Friendly hosts, we recharged ourselves. Comfortable bed too which is a bonus! Thank you for everything

The chalet du Barillon is in a green setting, lulled by the glouglou of a nearby spring and the singing of the birds. The place, after a serpentine climb, is extremely peaceful and quiet, away from the noise of the city and the hubbub of everyday life. The view, from the kitchen and terrace, is well worth the climb! The cottage is equipped with all the comforts you need and the stove is there to warm up the wet and cool days even at an advanced time of the season! For walkers, a few walks at the foot of the chalet, otherwise easily accessible by car. Enjoy! And on top of that, the hosts are adorable and attentive...

We felt completely comfortable. The cabin is top equipped and beautiful. Also an absolute dream for families with children. The views here are stunning. Communication was great. If you have any questions, we always got back to you right away. Manu and Chris, thank you very much!

We had a great family stay at Cyril's place. This house is very well equipped and perfectly matches the description. The location is ideal, quiet and at the same time close to Aubenas. Cyril is very responsive and very kind. I will gladly return to his house in Ardèche.

The setting is exceptional, we loved cooling off in the beautiful pool surrounded by greenery, strolling in the garden worthy of a botanical park and relaxing in the hot tub after hiking in the surroundings. Special mention to Fiona and Nadine who were very attentive during our stay!

This was easily one of the most relaxing, wonderful places we have ever stayed. 5 days away felt like a month's holiday. Beautiful surroundings, extremely peaceful, lovely house. Lots to do in the nearby towns and villages. If you go, you'll want to stay longer and return.

We liked the accommodation of Herve and his family very much. Ideal for relaxing or for activities in the accommodation (darts, table tennis, swimming/bathing in the pool, table games, petanque, etc.) or external activities such as e-mountain biking (4 are available for rent from Herve). Particularly noteworthy is the great covered terrace, which provides shade and can also protect from rain. So you can be outside in any weather. You can also grill on a large gas grill here. The pool is a fantastic size for swimming and splashing. All water toys are of course allowed. You can "let off steam" :) Overall, we felt very comfortable and welcome. Although the hosts live on the same property in the neighboring house, privacy is still given at all times, very pleasant. We thank Herve, his wife and daughter for 4 great days. You can tell they like to be hosts.

A Perfect Pyrenean Retreat! Our stay was absolutely fantastic, a true highlight. Jens and Angelica are the most wonderful hosts – so lovely, relaxed, and incredibly helpful with excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area. Our room was truly special. The stunning view of the Pyrenees from our decking, where we enjoyed meals in our lovely dining area, was unforgettable. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Beyond the room, the property offers fantastic amenities, including a great outdoor space, a well-equipped gym, and a beautiful pool area, all with those breathtaking Pyrenees views. This is truly a must-visit place and we can't recommend it highly enough!

Very nice accommodation that matched the listing well: clean, functional and located in a quiet neighborhood. We appreciated the simplicity of the welcome and the communication with the host, which was clear and efficient. Special mention for the pool and spa, which were really great! Perfect for relaxing after a good day. Our dog was also well accepted, which was a real plus for us. The surroundings offer good spaces for beautiful hikes.

We had a wonderful stay, the house is in a beautiful location, the chickens, space and horses really made it very special for the children. The house is very well equipped and Odette was very responsive with any questions. As others have noted the beds are very comfortable which made for a restful and relaxing weekend.

Charming little accommodation ideal for 2 people, the south facing terrace, offers a splendid view of the mountains . Full of hikes of all levels very well described in an on-site booklet. For lovers of calm and nature. Delicate access as indicated in the listing both by car to reach the parking lot by very narrow streets and on foot with the multiple stairs 😅

The place very much matched the photos and description. Fabulous view and we were lucky with weather and the beautiful roses in bloom. Loved the interior of the house which was very well appointed. Wi-Fi worked ok for us. Agree with other reviews that you need to plan ahead for your good shopping (which we did) as no shops very near. We had to pick up key from Luz Saint Sauveur village which was a small detour of 15 mins. Would have preferred a lockbox? Would highly recommend however.
