Holiday rentals with lake access in Southern France

Picturesque estate, steeped in history, quiet with a beautiful garden. Clean accommodation with all the necessary amenities. Beatrice and her husband welcomed us very well, very pleasant stay in this exceptional place!

We had a great time at Paul's house. The view is magnificent, the pool is also. The living and dining area is open and bright and very suitable for groups. Also the division of the bedrooms. You have the option to withdraw if you wish. Paul was always available and gave us helpful tips. His father was also very friendly. Both speak good English. We will be happy to come back anytime!

We had a lovely 11 day stay at Helene and Patrick’s home. It was as described, very clean and beautifully presented. Their warm welcome was lovely as was their gift of a chilled bottle of wine on arrival. They were charming, the perfect hosts. The house was a great base for exploring the wider area. The shade in the garden was much appreciated during some very hot days. The bakeries in the village were excellent and all the locals we spoke to were very friendly. On occasion the car park near the house was full but we always managed to get parked somewhere in the village. We had a great stay!

Everything has already been said. The fisherman's house is located in an idyllic place and in an Olympian calm. We felt immediately comfortable and Denys' welcome was very warm and friendly. Certainly, some maintenance work is necessary, but as Denys says, various external elements mean that these are not always possible. But the feeling of living in harmony with nature makes you forget these small inconveniences.

We needed to enjoy a moment of calm, to rest for a long weekend of three days. The listing at this address seemed ideal, the comments all unanimous... well... it's even better than we could have hoped. The loft is very comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated, a rare cleanliness... the best thing is the little touches all around you. The exterior is also very neat, swimming pool, jacuzzi accessible at any time and private, there is everything you need to feel good. Well, we could go on for a long time with the superlatives... breakfasts... meals... massages... but the icing on the cake is the hosts Anne-Lise and Frédéric... whose kindness and discretion complete this perfect and timeless moment. What can one say about staying in a greenhouse?! Lots, I suppose, but I'd say that we had a lovely evening and morning here. The beds were super comfy and the enclosed part of the "apartment" was climate controlled, airy, open, and spacious. The kitchen is out in the greenhouse and though we did only limited cooking, found that a blast! A brief rain made for a delightful sound from the greenhouse roof. The kids adored having horses (regular size and mini) right outside and the faint tinkling of the nearby cow's bells was charming. Also, nice views! I just want to come back in winter to enjoy the "hotpot" and fire burning stove!

Eros and Daniel were the most incredible hosts. The house was beautiful, spotless, and felt like a true escape. Fresh towels and sheets, no bugs, and the private garden with lake views was absolutely stunning. We were walking distance to amazing restaurants, a market, a local bar, and a gelateria with some of the best gelato we’ve ever had. It was also an easy cab ride to Bellagio to catch the ferry to Tremezzo. Eros and Daniel went above and beyond for us. At one point we couldn’t figure out how to turn the stove off and they arrived within minutes to help. Their kindness and care made this one of the best stays we’ve ever had. We wish we could have stayed longer. This was a perfect experience in every way. 10 out of 10.

The studio is charming, the bedroom is burnt to the ground. The location is excellent (close to Mount Riggi). The studio is quiet, well-equipped, clean and quiet, and the landlady is very responsive. We enjoyed it very much.

Comfortable and quiet accommodation with excellent host. Views are as pictures show and lovely to relax on small balcony. Having asthma and slight mobility problem I did struggle with the 10 minute walk, all uphill, from town to home. The only other route consisted of 97 uneven stairs, the middle section being unlit. The apartment is twenty stairs up with no handrail. Taxi fare at night was only 10 euros so not a major problem. Also the C30 bus passes at the top of the road.

This place is amazing! The quiet nights on the patio, or walking down to the lake to enjoy the lights in the castle with evening setting on Lake Como were so wonderfully relaxing. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the insanity of Varenna. Other pluses. Town parking pass for Dervio. Amazing breakfast waiting for the ferry there, full kitchen for spectacular sunset meals with the best view of the lake!

The location could not have been better! We loved Maria’s place and she was very communicative. The view never got old, and we were close to everything we wanted to see while in Switzerland. While we had a car and got to use the included parking spot, we also tried using the bus stop which was immediately outside the home and it was very easy to navigate around Switzerland. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone who’s visiting Switzerland!

The location was a little far to walk from the station, but other than that, it was really perfect! Thanks to you, it was a happy trip. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing stay! Monica and Paolo went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay. Sending the best recommendations and advice. They responded immediately and even came and delivered water when the shops were closed. The place is outstanding with amazing views. Would stay again in a heartbeat and our trip was so special. Would recommend a car to get to and get around as think it would be difficult without car.

This is a one of a kind airbnb - an extremely beautiful home. Great for a romantic trip. If you are planning to do significant travel in between towns, it is a bit more difficult location-wise as it is a ~20-25 minute walk (no sidewalk) to Torno for ferries and taxis are hard to come by, but you can plan your day around the ferry times. Monica was very responsive and made check-in easy. Would stay here again.

The apartment was exactly as described, and Silvia was incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay. The arrival instructions were very clear, which made checking in easy. It’s true that you need to climb some stairs to reach the place, but the view is more than worth it, the view was absolutely breathtaking. The location was also peaceful and quiet, and we slept really well. Our stay was truly exceptional, and we would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful location being quiet and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Nature totally surrounds you and the bird life is amazing. The house was spotless and very comfortable with many nice touches. There is a lot to see and we particularly liked the Passage du Gois and Noirmoutier. Plenty of good restaurants and if you like seafood you will be in heaven. Thoroughly recommend and your host is very welcoming.

We had a great stay in this beautiful nature bubble! The cottage is very nice, well-equipped and tastefully decorated!! The welcome was also very friendly, we already want to go back 😊

This place is truly one of a kind. Simply the most exceptional place I have been to. Great restaurants nearby, directly accessible by boat. We just loved cruising around the lake with the small motor boat, it made everything feel more special. The place itself is unique, as only very few houses are available in Santa Margherita. Lots of birds to watch, but the icing on the cake was all the fireflies at night that sparkle in the dark, really magical. But above all, Mattia was the friendliest, most helpful host and made everything nice and comfortable for us.

It was like paradise! A huge garden, private beach - what more could you want... A trip to Orta by boat (absolutely!!!) The dog Mogli also liked it very much 😄

Julie's house is spotless, fully equipped and completely corresponds to the photo presentation. Check in is easy and contact with Julie is very adequate. You will always receive a response within an hour. It is a real village house; after a five-minute walk you drink your morning coffee and eat your treat from the bakery on a cosy, lively terrace in the centre. Heartily recommended, this house.

We have just had the most wonderful stay at Martine’s place. Martine and her husband were both really welcoming. The house has everything you need and is situated in a beautiful location. We loved our evening drink on the terrace overlooking the valley. Fabulous!
