Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Strafford County

Staying at Michael's lake house was the perfect retreat for our family. The first thing that stood out: The quiet. The house is on a cove just off the main lake, and it's so peaceful. We started our mornings with coffee on the screened in porch (yay no mosquitoes to worry about with kids!) and then spent the days kayaking, paddleboarding, and lying in the hammock. The lake itself is gorgeous and there's a sandbar that our girls loved! Meals were a breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a lovely space to cook in (not to mention clean!). We grilled a couple of times too, which, for us, is a vacation must. It rained a little bit while we were there, but the house was well stocked with board games and honestly, everything was so beautifully decorated, it was just as relaxing indoors as outside. Gary and Nick were wonderful hosts, extremely accommodating and very communicative and flexible. The surroundings alone were so picturesque , each morning and dawn was like a painting - I’ll be back for sure !

The house itself was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout, making it feel cozy and welcoming. It was also very well stocked with everything we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. A big thank you to our host for her warm hospitality and attention to detail. We truly appreciated the care she put into making our visit so enjoyable. Highly recommend, and we’d love to return in the future!

We had a fantastic week-long stay at Heidi's home. She was an exemplary host from the beginning to the very end -- always responsive, flexible, and very helpful. She knew we were going to be arriving at nighttime, and that there would be construction going on nearby with exit closures. She took time to provide detailed instructions on how to get around those closures which alternated between two exists every night from 7pm-7am. This is their real home, so when you enter, you feel like you have entered your home away from home. Everything in the house is not just clean, but spotless. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings are just gorgeous -- especially the sunroom, which is like something out of a dream. We even saw some wild turkeys at a distance in the backyard! Of all the Airbnbs we have stayed at, this was by far the nicest and the most memorable. Thanks so much, Heidi and Dennis.

Our stay at Mousam Lake was simply wonderful. The house is rustic and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. I love that there are ice cube trays in the freezer. It’s a little touch that just makes life easier. We were 5 adults with 4 dogs and everyone had enough room. Sitting on the deck felt like being in a treehouse and bringing the Adirondack chairs down to the dock was a pleasure on warmer days. A short drive to Hannaford allowed us to stock up and enjoy family meals and game nights in the cozy living room. Lea responded quickly to any question we had. This was a wonderful, relaxing vacation at the lake.

Peaceful stay at Hopes Haven in Middleton, NH. So much to do for outdoor enthusiasts with a canoe, kayaks and floats. Beautiful sunrises in the hot tub. There is even a fire pit. This place has it all. Beautiful views of the serene lake. It was a pleasure to be able to share this lovely home with my dog. She loved the canoe trip. Dani was responsive to our needs with everything. She was delightful. We would definitely consider renting this hidden gem again. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary items.

Clean, classy, comfortable accommodations in a peaceful setting. We loved staying in this beautifully-appointed apartment with walking trails and access to the Oyster River just down the road and both Portsmouth and UNH within easy driving distance. Cheri was kind and responsive from start to finish.

Dennis and Julie’s place is impeccable! Beautifully decorated and so comfortable and relaxing. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Anything and everything is thoughtfully provided in this warm and inviting space. We would definitely stay again.

My husband & I had a wonderful stay! Niki answered all of my questions & gave some great hiking recommendations. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need & the place was clean.

I stayed at Alan's place before and I specifically booked his place again. I would have worked my flights around availability if I needed to. I love the location and the apartment layout is absolutely the best. Peaceful and relaxing and everything anyone could need or want is there. Alan and his wife are so friendly and welcoming. I plan on staying with them again for sure. I love looking out the windows at the surrounding trees and I took pictures of the wild turkeys enjoying their surroundings as well this year!

I’ve rented several places, and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. The home was immaculate and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—and more! The kitchen had all the essentials, plus extras like spices, condiments, and even butter, which we needed. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, making our stay even more comfortable. The mattress was high quality and very comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer was a huge bonus. Everything was perfect—highly recommend!

Great place right on the water!

This was an absolute beautiful stay. The views of the lake with the fall foliage was breathtaking. The home had everything we needed and was perfectly clean. Would definitely come again.

Four adults spent a week in Alton Bay. The deck gets morning sun which was wonderful before the heat of the day settled in. We loved the walk ability of the Bay. Great breakfast next door. Two sit down restaurants and one walk up restaurant within a quarter mile. Grocery store about 10 minutes away. Beautiful Lakeside public park and swimming area right next door. The condo is very spacious and well decorated. The hosts responded immediately to a few missing items. If you are looking for a small town, lakeside, summer vacation. We would recommend Breakaway.
