The cottage is equipped with a covered large terrace with views through the forest to the back of the lake.

A well-equipped log cabin in Jokijärvi, Taivalkoski, Finland´s Northeast. The cabin features a combined living room and kitchen + 1 bedroom. During the summer an attic room with a double bed is also in use. Use of a rowing boat, an Indian canoe and 2 stand-up paddleboards & use of the grillhut & firewood are included in the rent. You can also rent 1 single kayak separately, rental price 20€/day. Sandy-bottomed shallow beach facing south, providing a great swimming spot. Pets are also welcome!

Lakeside Pines Cabin

The Finnish nature is one of our most excellent resources, providing an abundance of beauty and fresh, clean air. This is a log cabin with a lakeside view located 21 km from Kuhmo town and 130 km from Kajaani Airport. It features a sauna cabin, two bedrooms, and a living room with a kitchen. There is also a BBQ area in the front yard. Local wildlife centers offer wildlife tours, which can be booked through the Wildtaiga site. Prices for bear hide tours can be found on the BearCentre website.

Tervetuloa Villa Jaakkolaan! Villa Jaakkola on vuonna 2022 valmistunut hirsihuvila Jokijärvellä, Taivalkoskella. Huvila on tilava ja avara. Alakerrassa on yksi makuuhuone ja tupakeittiö. Parvella on lisäksi reilusti tilaa ja nukkumapaikkoja. Mökille rakennettiin kesällä 2026 uusi rantasauna. Mökistä löytyy kaikki nykyajan mukavuudet ja isoista ikkunoista avautuu kahteen suuntaan mahtava järvimaisema. Takkatulen lämmössä on mukava katsella revontulia ja kuunnella hiljaisuutta. Not a resort. Not a hotel. Exactly what Finland actually looks like. A small off-grid cabin on Lake Oulujärvi running on solar power and firewood. No running water or indoor plumbing. That’s intentional. You light the sauna, pump water from the lake, and cook on gas or an open fire at the laavu. Note: this stay requires basic outdoor skills. You must be comfortable making fires, bringing your own sheets and drinking water, and doing the final cleaning before checkout.
