The street is very noisy but everything else was great!

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! Birgir was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, cozy, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was our Iceland story time with Birgir—his captivating stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the country and its culture. His passion for the environment was truly inspiring, motivating me to become more proactive about global warming and environmental responsibility. Birgir also recommended trying an Icelandic swimming pool, and we absolutely loved it! This was a truly memorable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough!

The host was exceptionally kind and welcoming, providing us with plenty of helpful tips about local attractions and hidden gems—we truly learned so much and benefited greatly from their insights. The room was spotless, well-organized, and very comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, making us feel right at home. I don’t feel that 5 stars is enough to explain how amazing Johann and Karen’s place is. The rooms were very cozy and extremely clean. The common areas were beautiful and well kept! They are incredibly kind and went above and beyond for us. Everything you need and more is in the house, breakfast etc. The location is perfect and the hosts are more than willing to help out with finding public transit. I cannot say more good things about Karen and Johann they are truly the kindest people we have met while backpacking Europe and Iceland.

Great place, cozy layout, obvious home feeling; great location, you can walk out of the house and walk on the beach, there are delicious bakeries and burger shops nearby, and you can reach Rainbow Street in 30 minutes on foot.The host was very enthusiastic about solving our difficulties!

This venue is very good. The hosts are very informative and give you all the attention you require. Their two assistants are also friendly, but as they have 4 legs and a tail (cat & small dog), they only come to you for company on occasions. They are well trained and will not bother you. The accommodation is large enough, and all amenities to make light meals are provided, plus there is a coffee maker ! It is placed just north of the capital, so it is easily found and is not too far from the airport. Overall this was an ideal opportunity to be next to local people who can assist you, but you also have your own floor of the building to yourself. The hosts offer various ideas for days out, and they print off A4 guides for you to take with you. The photo and video gallery they have is quite extesive, and their personal recordings of visits to the volcanos can be seen on request. Birgir and Björg offer a very friendly service, I fully recommend this option!

This is a perfect location if you want to stay in the center of the city. Everything is within walking distance. The room was beautiful and clean. The bathroom was tiny but served its purpose. It can stay loud until late due to location but closing the window blocked out most of the noise. It was a great stay!

The apartment was recently renovated, very comfortable and looked clean. It’s very close from the center and would definitely be back.

Excellent location but parking is difficult especially if you’re toting luggage. Expect to find a side street about 5 blocks away. The bed was outstanding!

Great accommodation near the airport. Perfect for the start or end of a tour of Iceland. Super clean, lovingly equipped, parking and a good breakfast. Was there for the second time and will certainly come back!
