There is two steps to actually get up into the house, one room upstairs. Only plan on looking at lake there is a very large grass perimeter around the lake, driveway and property. lovely old home. david is very kind and quick to respond if you need anything. Also, the Wi-Fi that is given on this page is incorrect. The correct Wi-Fi is on the coffee table in front of the couch. Only about 10 minutes from Shakamak State Park.

Very clean, close to fishing spots which was what we were looking for, private and just an overall very cool place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Place was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The deck and dock area was wonderful. So enjoyed watching the family of geese every morning. Place is just beautiful!

The humble abode was perfect for what we needed. We had a group together for a family wedding and we felt very welcome. Susan had reached out ahead of time to be sure we had all our questions answered before we left the house. She greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. Lots of snacks, and games, comfy blankets, and milk and juice in the fridge. We enjoyed our morning coffee in their peaceful backyard. We would stay again if we’re ever back in the area and next time we’ll bring the dog.

This home was perfect for us and our extended family to celebrate our son’s college graduation. It was clean, well appointed, and spacious. Plenty of room for everyone at the dining room table (including enough chairs) when all 10 of us were there, which was really nice. Comfortable beds and enough privacy for everyone. We especially liked the rec room for playing pool and the backyard games provided. This house made our last stay in Terre Haute very special — thank you Veera!

Such a cute place at such a good price! It’s clean and had everything we needed! Very thoughtful hosts. Plus the location is beautiful and secluded while still being close to town. The hosts are also great! They kept me in the loop and answered questions quick.

Alena was a great host and the house was extremely cozy. Stayed here for a wedding and really enjoyed some quiet relaxing time at the house. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay in Dana. Kevin’s house is beautiful, with a private access to the apartment above his garage. It is quite secluded but easy to find. We showed up after dark but Kevin had lights lining the driveway for us to see our way. The front of the house was roaming with deer when we arrived. The apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated with a comfy couch and chair in the living area and antique bedroom furniture in the bedroom. The place was very clean, to the point of spotless. The bath towels were fluffy and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided. During our stay we went to Parke county to see covered bridges throughout the day, visited the old mill in Bridgeton, ate at Benjamin’s in Rockville, and watched a movie at the old time movie theater The Ritz. I enjoyed my time in the area and would love to return during the bridge festival one day.

Kim was exceptionally courteous and responsive. I had to check in later in the day, and I had no problem arranging my arrival time. She had an air mattress set up and ready for my arrival, and my sister and I both enjoyed a private space to rest for the night. The place itself was cute, clean, and cozy. There were extra personalized touches to make us feel welcomed in the space, and the decor was nice. If I'm ever in the Bloomington area again, I will absolutely see if this place is available! I loved the quiet area it was in, and I am especially thankful for the kind hospitality! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Me and the guys had a great time. Actually pretty spacious, which surprised us. Very peaceful in big on peace and having an area to myself and this was perfect. A little bit away from all the events we were going too but loved every time we stepped inside the door!!

Great place to stay for a weekend. I was born and raised in Terre Haute, so I am familiar with the area. Pretty central of the town and multiple restaurants near by.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Penny’s place! The apartment was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Penny was a great communicator, and the location was perfect for exploring nature, shopping farmer markets, and visiting historical towns. I would highly recommend this listing to anyone
