Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ameland

Anna is an extraordinarily warm, interested, committed, down-to-earth and helpful hostess. The contact with her went very well. The apartment that Anna hosts is beautiful, equipped with every comfort, quiet and beautifully located directly on one of the many waterways in Dokkum. Dokkum itself is a particularly atmospheric and characteristic town, we would like to live there in no time. Those who love hiking, water and an attractive cityscape will love it here.

What an excellent house to stay. Very great surroundings, quiet and beautiful stargazing at nights. Close enough for travelling around Friesland and/or visiting the isles of Ameland/Schiermonnikoog. The house itself has all features you need. Great kitchen, very good beds and big badroom. Highly recommended for a stay.

Great location to relax and feel right at home. Close to hiking and biking routes. And as dessert, close to the transfer to the very beautiful Ameland. Highly recommended.

Peter welcomed us and showed us the premises. We felt very comfortable in Peter's apartment from the beginning. The apartment is tastefully furnished and is equipped with everything. For our bike tours, the apartment was a very good starting point. We are happy to recommend the apartment.

If you want to know something new about the house and amenities, we can't add comments to the fantastic description and many guests. A beautiful, cute Frisian cottage. But what we can tell you: we have never experienced such great hosting qualities as Gaby and Peter's. Such a warmth, whether via short reports or live on the phone. As if you've known each other for a long time. In addition, there is the almost limitless trust in the guests. Experienceable by: Everything is open, everything is filled, you can use everything. What a fantastic place! We enjoyed the view, the many animals that hop around in front of you, the Koekkoek. And the beautiful beach so close. The cottage is well organized and very clean and complete and the contact with Nicolas was very pleasant. Proactive and clear and fast. We would like to come back at least once a year.

Great stay at Petra's place. Very relaxed, a truly re-charging experience.

We had a wonderful time on Ameland. The beautiful, clean upstairs apartment of Marjolein is a few minutes' walk from the center of Nes. A good base for hiking and cycling trips.

Ina and Peter were very good hosts. We found a very clean, quiet and very well-equipped apartment. There was also a small token of appreciation as a welcome gift. In addition to the excellent beds (including huge duvets!), we particularly liked the location of the apartment. Both the sandy beach (about 25 min.) and the dike (about 15 min.) were very close. We would love to come back and thank you for this very pleasant stay.

Sita's place was perfect for my two night stay in Dukkum. Perfect location and lock box for easy and flexible check-in. Sita was a wonderful host and left a nice welcome gift. Definitely will stay here again when I am back in the area.

We had a completely successful stay in this beautiful apartment. The amenities left nothing to be desired – everything you need was available, and the apartment was very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The location is also perfect: in a few minutes you can be in the city, on the beach and at the supermarket - everything is easily accessible. We felt comfortable from the first moment and can only recommend the apartment. Gladly again!

Had a very nice stay at Thereza's on Ameland. Beautiful quiet location, with the village of ballum (and the rest of Ameland) on walking/cycling. The house was perfect! Everything was super clean and new. Also in the kitchen, all necessities were ample (e.g. 3 different coffee makers), very nice.

We had a very nice weekend in Sven's apartment. We traveled with 2 small children, they also had a good time in the apartment. Because everything was so clean, they could play wonderfully on the floor.

Beautiful apartment, overlooking the dunes and close to the sea and shops. Enjoyed it, experienced all kinds of weather, sun, a lot of wind, rain, etc. Got a wonderful breath of fresh air.

The apartment, which is a separate cottage, is cozy and has everything. Especially nice is the private garden with Rssplatz, well located in Buren We would have liked to have stayed longer!

The place was/is very lovingly decorated. The surrounding area as well! It is a very functional place to stay and my personal taste is small and cozy. Yfke was present and accommodating when needed. She just has a knack for creating a nice and friendly atmosphere. All in all, recommended if you want to treat yourself.

Stay is in a good location to the city center of Leeuwarden. Museums, restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Well cared for stay. Good communication. Nice detail: the photo wall with what the street used to look like. Tip: the Miniature People hiking trail!

There were two of us staying at the property for 4 nights, which belongs to a larger complex. The communication with the owner was straightforward and friendly. Everything necessary was available on site, coffee, tea, etc. was ready for the first day. Thank you! We were able to rent bikes right in the building and explore the area. All in all, our holiday was very relaxing. We liked the place and Ameland very much!

Renske's home is nestled in the last village of the island, and a moment's walk into the dunes. So it was perfect for us who were searching for peace, quiet, and nature. The kitchen was spacious with great amenities, and the bedrooms were soo cozy! It was a bit challenging to find her home. It's amidst several other homes/doors. There was no sign, whether with a name or number, on an outside wall like other cottages/doors did. So we asked neighbours who were out and about if they could help us find the correct cottage, which we did. Renske was super supportive with my questions with prompt responses, I really appreciated her warmth. Thank you for having us Renske!

Wonderful and nice central place to explore Schier. In the middle of the village, near the bus, restaurants, supermarket and cozy terraces. Cozily furnished and nice terrace at the front where you can watch the world pass a bit. Also very nice to be able to use the two basic but good quality bicycles. Adjustable saddle without tools in height. Recommended!

We spent a weekend with two families, including four children. Location is beautiful, quiet yet close to all amenities. The accommodation is very complete and equipped with every comfort. The children have enjoyed the space with table tennis, pool table and shuffleboard for hours. Ideal when it was raining outside. The horses outside were also very popular with the children. The sauna and plunge pool for the parents made the house complete. Mieke is very hospitable and gave us good tips for the area. We had a fantastic weekend. The kids can't wait to go again. Great place to stay. Was easy to find. Fenna let us check in when suited us and met us at the apartment. Gave us a quick tour and explained the best places where we could eat out in the area. The flat was warm and cosy with plenty of kitchen ware.
