Naturhaus Altmühltal

Our nature house consists entirely of natural building materials and uses the synergy effects of radiant heat and solar energy. The untreated wood is constructed according to the system of Bio-Solar-Haus, whereby no paint or other preservatives were processed. The solid wood floors throughout the house are oiled. In addition to natural wood such as stone pine and oak, other natural materials such as natural stone from the region (Jura marble) have been processed. The construction of the Bio-Solar house allows a natural air circulation and thus dispenses with the disadvantages of ventilation systems. There are no convection formed due to a built-ceiling and wall radiant heating.Through the house-in-house system (without vapor barrier), the water vapor can diffuse freely to the outside, causing no condensation and mold. Given the low heating energy demand in the house and the use of solar radiation, no fossil fuels are needed. Solar energy is the main energy source, only in winter can be heated if necessary with the wood stove. Service we are happy to bring you fresh, crispy and wholesome bread rolls from a BIO-bakery from our region.

The house is situated in an idyllic village on the edge of the forest. The nearest town is 2 km away. There you will find a local baker and butcher with regional offers. The next major cities are Amberg (15 km) and Sulzbach-Rosenberg (11 km). There you will find several large shopping opportunities.

Bike tours, hikes or just a cozy day in the garden - everything is right "in front of your nose." I'm happy to help you choose hiking, running or cycling tours. A car is required to get there. Public transport is rather difficult

The location is perfect for excursions such as to Regensburg, Weltenburg Abbey, the Liberation Hall in Kelheim and much more. Shopping is about 2.5 km away. There are many leisure opportunities because the cottage is located between the "Altmühltal" and the "Fränkischen Seenland" so you can do many different trips. Because of the quiet and peaceful location of our cottage we decided not to install WiFi so our guest can take time out.
