Beautiful accommodation where we spent a great weekend with friends. The space outside is very pleasant and peaceful. The interior of the house is spacious and very well equipped. We will not hesitate to come back during a future stay in the region!

A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

This was a lovely place to stay, as detailed in the description. We stayed for a week and the kids loved having a pool. The owners dog does roam in the garden, which our kids were a bit afraid of but the owners did try to call her back in. The other thing to note is that the property is very close to a train line so you hear the trains. We really enjoyed our stay with David and Corinne, they were on hand when we needed to ask things but even when they use their garden you don’t feel like they are intruding. We would definitely stay again.

The gite is perfect, everything you need for an ideal stay, the swimming pool is a perfect size for a little one and also is you want to do a few lengths. The garden and barn is spectacular, the perfect space to escape from the heat and eat in a beautiful place. The hosts, Sue and Paul, are so accommodating and so very welcoming, it’s been the best stay and we did not want to go home!! We have already booked to come back, an amazing stay 👍👍👍👍

Our weekend at Stéphane's will leave us with a lasting memory. We enjoyed the pool, we were able to play games outside and set up a nice table for meals. Thank you so much.

I 100% recommend the accommodation of Alban and Sandrine who are very kind, very welcoming and available hosts as well as their neighbor Virginie who welcomed us at first. The accommodation is faithful to the description and photos, even more beautiful! Impeccable cleanliness, tastefully decorated, you feel very good there right away! The environment is ideal and the village is very charming. Only one regret: staying only one night! ;) Thank you very much Alban and Sandrine, I'll gladly remember your address!

I've stayed at a lot of Airbnb's - more than 30. So when I say Allison & David were the best hosts I've ever had, it means something. The day we arrived, they greeted us at the door, introduced us small and friendly chihuahuas, and showed us around the place. The interior was in amazing shape, especially for a 350 year old building! They had bread with homemade jam for us in the fridge (delicious) which we enjoyed over our 3 days there. Me and my travel companions loved chatting with them in the morning and getting local tips, including several restaurant recommendations. On a day where we had transportation issues, David was grabbing his keys to bring us down the road before we even had a chance to ask. The home was truly beautiful but the hosts really made the trip for us. I know we would love to come back if we ever have a chance.

Julie was very friendly. The apartment is very spacious with a very big garden. It was very quiet and I slept like a baby because the bed was great. I am definitely recommending the place to anyone who loves being close to nature. It is also very walkable from the apartment to downtown Angoulême (around 15 mins).

A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

Charming and very accommodating hosts (Jean-Gabriel and his wife). Perfect accommodation, corresponding in every respect to the description, very clean (visibly new accommodation) and perfectly equipped, top bedding, individual air conditioning in each bedroom (each bedroom having its own private bathroom) and in the living/dining room, a very nice terrace. You don't need to bring anything with you, because you'll find everything you need... the kindness of the hosts as a gift! Frankly, it's one of the top three AirBnB homes I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in "a few".... Thanks both of you 👍

Small charming mas, with everything you need. Impeccable bedding, clean. Jean Marie was very nice and helpful with superb attentions. Breakfast at the top. Pleasantly surprised. We recommend it without hesitation.

We had a pleasant stay . The cottage is very well located (close to the castle of the pouyade) in a small picturesque hamlet and especially very quiet. Vincent is a very charming host, the welcome was great I recommend this rental 👍

We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

I recommend it without hesitation, Astrid is human and that's not common. A woman who is there for any problems. Very nice, the area was so quiet that I've never slept so well. The house was so clean that I didn't want to dirty it. I felt right at home, I didn't want to leave. There was everything you need in a house, even more than you need. Thanks again a thousand times. I really enjoyed Jean Pierre's welcome, completely relaxed, a Harley enthusiast who seems to enjoy life. An extraordinary character and that's a beautiful quality. The accommodation is functional, nothing is missing, in beautiful greenery, the evening walk is energizing. You won't be disappointed by coming here.

What can we say!? Michael and Lynda’s gite and our whole experience exceeded our expectations. The communication before we arrived was superb. The welcome we received was warm and wonderful. We felt like we had known them for years. The gite was spotlessly clean, very tastefully decorated, and had all the facilities that we required. Outside there was a beautiful garden that was exclusively ours. We couldn’t have asked for more. The village of Aunac was lovely and the people were friendly. Many thanks to Michael and Lynda for making this part of our trip so enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending their place to any fellow travellers.

The place is very beautiful and serene. The house is clean and very modern. The entrance is a bit difficult to find and you need to bring your own towels, but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

We really liked Thomas’ place. The pool is much better than the photos look and the pool was very clean. A great little seating area under a canopy and plenty of sun loungers. Rarely used by anyone else! Good location for road cycling (road cyclists from UK will find the roads undulating and open). Really nice peaceful setting. Really quiet. WiFi good enough to do video calls to work from the house.

Superbly tranquil location in lovely countryside. Very spacious accomodation and lovely garden.
