Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

we visited to go to a wedding locally, so did not get to see to much of the local sites, but our stay was very comfortable and very pleased with the cottage as the weather meant we spent more time inside than we had planned. well done on providing such a nice cottage.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

We had a fantastic time at The Stables celebrating our rescue greyhound’s fifth birthday - she got to run around happily in the enclosed garden whilst we enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco in the hot tub!Secluded location, relaxing and everything you could need thought of by Paul & Fiona. We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this property. The local surroundings are beautiful and the house was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was a nice addition and communication with our host was excellent from start to finish. I would happily recommend a stay here :)

We all felt incredibly spoilt at tower cottage. The accommodation just had a wonderful, relaxed, comforting playful energy about it. It felt that every ornament or artifact that the cottage held had a story behind it and what a privilege for us. It was joyous. The grounds, well that was something else. Early morning Deer, the call of the chiff chaff, the fast low flight of the sparrow hawk through the woods, the soothing sound of the stream in an evening, a great crested grebe joining us for our Sunday morning dip and the joy of the marble run in the woods reminded us to freely play all weekend as a friendship group. Living next door, Ruth and mark were on hand if we needed help or advice without ever feeling like our time and space was compromised. Relaxed wholesome hosts who love where they live. Their kindness was infectious. We will definitely be back.

Charming and full of character, with fabulous pool and hot tub. Loved our stay with family. Granddaughter filled with excitement throughout our stay.

The cottage was exactly what was listed and what we were looking for. The Host was always responsive and friendly with many helpful details. We have had a fantastic stay at Sue’s place. The cottage was so homely and spacious. Great Asby itself is such a quiet and peaceful location and is perfectly situated to get out to the lakes, via car, or the dales for a good walk. The local pub was superb for food and drinks and all locals were super friendly. Sue and Fitz were such friendly and attentive hosts who also left some lovely and much appreciated treats in the cottage for us to enjoy on our arrival. We would love to come back. Thanks again for a brilliant stay. 😊🤩

A really cosy, home from home cottage with a beautiful enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom is a real treat. Thank you Debbie.

Coming from the States, we were looking for a quintessential Yorkshire Dales experience: someplace peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. This place fit the bill perfectly. The house was very comfortable and we especially loved the shower, beds and comforters. It really is self catered so be sure to bring any cooking staples you will need. Beautiful artwork throughout the house, and some great magazines to read on rainy days. We did have an issue on the second to last day we were there - the power went out for no apparent reason. Luckily we were able to isolate the problem circuit and get things partially working again. Claire was very helpful and arranged for showers we could use in the cabins at the main property down the road. All in all, it was a lovely location and we would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely 💯 loved our short stay at Nursery end cottage. It was perfect. Warm, comfortable & cosy. It had everything you could think of. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack & thankyou card. The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by sheep and hills. We chose to stay here as it wasn't far from Scafell pike. I would recommend to anyone to stay in this cottage and would definitely book it again. It's just beautiful. We only wish we could of stayed longer.

Deb & Tim were amazing hosts and the cottage is an absolute stunner. Perfect size and layout for a trip to the stunning pendle district. Great help with everything and the 3 pubs all within 20 minutes are fantastic. Will definitely be back to visit again.

We absolutely loved our three nights at Jonnty’s place! The place itself is a lovely, spacious barn conversion that is warm, very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen with range cooker is fab and the living / dining room is huge and has a comfy sofa and big TV. The bedroom is also roomy and has a world class bed that’s perfect after a hard day on the fells. Jonnty, meanwhile, is a great host - knowledgable on the local area, friendly and when my car needed repairing he rang his neighbour who got it fixed the next day, no problems. Overall, this is a superb place with a great host - we couldn’t have asked for more and will be back. Thanks Jonnty!

We had a fantastic week in the Lakes staying at the bothy. John and Julia are warm, friendly and thoughtful hosts and the space was perfect (and more spacious than the photos suggest). The bothy was well appointed with everything we needed and the beautiful cottage garden was an added bonus - secure for our dog and a peaceful haven to enjoy the morning/evening sunshine. Highly recommend

Anya’s house was very comfortable and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The instructions provided were easy to follow. Each room had heating which was needed as one night was quite cold. It was great to have a washing machine. The location was within driving to restaurants and pubs and there was plenty of pamphlets of things to do and see in the area. The tiny snug was very cute and cosy. Highly recommended

Great holiday home with fantastic views. Kitchen has all you need to cook with. She had left eggs and milk which was very appreciated. Good location, close to lots of towns and places to eat. Would stay again

Zoe was great in communicating and the property is indeed a rare find. The garden was unique and our Labrador loved it.

All you could want from a one bed b & b. Big comfy bed, big comfy lounge, kitchen superbly equipped and a bathroom with bath AND separate walk-in shower. All this and Heather lives next door if you need her. As for location, three local pubs, all good and a great location for exploring the northern lakes. Thanks Heather

We had a lovely stay at Molly’s cottage! We stayed for our 5 year anniversary and it was incredibly serene and peaceful. It was really spacious for 2 people and had everything that was promised. Lots of great music choices for the CD player, great board game options and some great reading material. It was squeaky clean and beautifully decorated. The log burner was perfection for a cosy night in. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We’ll definitely be back! X

We had an amazing stay. The cottage is right by the beach. Very comfortable, fully equipped. Great shower and beds really comfy. We brought out 2 cairns who loved the direct access to the beach out of the back door. Small enclosed back yard with outside tap to clean sandy paws. It was my birthday and the host also left a birthday card, flowers and homemade cake. We loved the place and will be coming back.

Loved loved loved this stay!! It was so gorgeous and decorated so nicely. The place felt light and airy yet cost in the evenings. The heating was easy to work and the place warmed up very quickly even without the fire which is essential for my girlfriend because she’s always cold. The bed was super comfy and clean, and the robes were a really nice touch. Jennifer as a host was super friendly and responsive! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The location was perfect and it was easy to walk to Cartmel village through the fields which cut out walking on the country roads (though they were generally not busy anyway!). Cartmel is a lovely place with nice cafes, pubs and some very fancy restaurants. Overall it was a very special stay for our anniversary - made even more special by the bubbly left for us when we arrived. We would recommend anyone looking for a quite and relaxing few days.
