The Cart House is self contained accomodation accessed via its own front door. It comprises of a comfortable lounge and a small kitchenette with fridge freezer, microwave, sink, airfryer, kettle, toaster and dining table. There is also have a one ring table top hob and a grill. A separate shower room leads off the lounge area. The bedroom includes a king size bed set in the alcove of the original stone entrance. Recently refurbished it is situated between the North Penines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is convenient for the Lake District, North Yorkshire Moors, Pennine Way and Coast 2 Coast route, there are plenty of places to walk and explore.

The retreat is totally secluded, but still just a minutes walk to Sedbergh's lovely pubs and cafes. It's the perfect base: head out walking in the hills straight from your door or use our electric bikes to explore the quiet lanes. When you get back, soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy a drink on the terrace while admiring the wonderful view of the fells.
