Hawthorn Cottage East - On the Beach - Westhaven

TeresaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay with my elderly parents. It was perfect for their needs. We took the wheelchair along the path to the station pub.. Great beach access for our dog. The hosts messaged me back right away when I had a query. A lovely 4 days.

Haven Lodge (Couples beach retreat)

KathyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Haven Lodge is stunning, both in terms of its wonderful location and what it offers. It is surprisingly spacious with everything available to make the stay very comfortable. It definitely exceeded expectations. Being near to many attractions and a beautiful coastline, it has much to offer, however, we were very happy staying close to Coldingham's wonderful bay and St Abbs Head. Being able to look out onto the sea and sit out overlooking such views, was great in itself. Bob and Lu are perfect hosts, who are warm, friendly and welcoming. On our first night there was a very dramatic thunder and lightening storm which led to a powercut locally. Bob and Lu messaged with regular updates and offered appliances should the cut continue. We were impressed by both their communication and their responsiveness. For sometime we have wanted to find a 'retreat' on the Borders coastline and at last we have found it in Haven Lodge. We look forward to returning for regular and longer stays.

Modern 1 bedroom house overlooking the sea

CliftonRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Words to describe the location and stunning house are difficult to find. The simplicity of the fishing village and its quaint features are utterly charming and so peaceful. We met so many friendly locals and made full use of the crab and lobster catch which is a speciality of the area. Loren is the most welcoming, caring of hosts and it was a joy to meet her and some of her family. We will definitely return to this idyllic place which we have truly fallen in love with.

Waterfront Character Cottage - Kenmore

NicoletteRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Excellent 4 bedroom/5 full bathroom house. It is very private on a picturesque peninsula in in the small village of Kenmore. Beautiful view of loch and river from all the windows. Lots of space for larger groups. Games and books to entertain. The host is very prepared for guests. Kitchen and dining area quite large. Washer and dryer in laundry room with ironing board and iron. Adjustable heat throughout. Gorgeous house with wonderful history. Well situated about 1.5 hr from EDI. Easy to drive there. Sheep and little lambs everywhere! Very peaceful and pastoral. Highland Safari is about 10 min drive - and definitely an activity to do when staying here. Aberfeldy is 15 min easy drive to get groceries, gas, and access to local restaurants and bakery (Breadalbane!). Easy to communicate with host. Minimal checkout requirements. Highly recommend!

Beach front fishermans cottage

SandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage with a view. It is a cosy and comfy cottage that is clean, well maintained and full of interesting and quirky pieces of art and objects. The views are amazing, you can see right over the water to the Fife coastline, which was wonderful for us as my husband is from Fife. It was so relaxing to sit on the window seat and watch the comings and goings on the little beach, binoculars are thoughtfully provided. There is a pub just down the road that has a garden with a view (drinks only, no food), there is a Chinese/Thai takeaway a few doors down (good) and a short walk away to Port Seton harbour there is a fish and chip shop, you can eat your fish and chips on tables by the harbour if the sun is shining (big portions). There is a good sized Co-op within walking distance for day to day provisions. The area has many lovely places to visit such as North Berwick, Dunbar and Haddington. We thoroughly enjoyed our week by the sea in Cockenzie.
