The hostel Fuchs und Hase, quiet and charming

Our hostel Fuchs und Hase is located in Oberjugel, a scattered settlement belonging to Johanngeorgenstadt, directly on the border with the Czech Republic. At an altitude of 850 m, pure nature, tranquility, unadulterated mountain meadows and many hiking and cycling trails await you. In winter, the Jugelloipe starts right behind the house with connection to the Kammloipe and Czech ski highway. Several ski slopes can be reached quickly by car. We are happy to provide tips.

Situated in the top of the hill,the building was relocated and completely restored in 2017 on the former domains of Count Zichy from the Austro-Hungarian period. The old barn recreates the atmosphere of the end of the 18th century,offering the current and modern confort. Also,the “OLD WOODEN BARN” offers a wonderful and unique view of the pine forest that surrounds this dream landscape. .

In Schweinrich on the motorboat-free Dranser See lies the romantic holiday home "Landlust" with an idyllic large garden, only 100 meters from the bathing area. There is a boat house with its own jetty. Canoe, kayaks and sailing dinghies (sailing skills required) can be rented. Oprindeligt opført som hestestald i 1832, er denne bygning nu ombygget til en charmerende bolig med eget køkken og toilet. Perfekt til en weekendtur eller et stop undervejs på cykelferien. I stueetagen finder du et åbent køkken og stue i ét, med adgang til en privat terrasse samt et badeværelse. På første sal er der et rummeligt værelse med fire enkeltsenge og udsigt over havet fra den ene ende af rummet. Boligen skal efterlades i samme stand som ved ankomst.

Few places are the landscape more conspicious than at Laupstad, where our farmhouse lies just between the sandy beach and mountains. We welcome singles, couples and families of every nationality! Fishing trips is possible. The midnight sun is best experienced by boat after all.

In our lovingly renovated and furnished guest suite on the edge of the forest, you will find peace and quiet. This is the place to read, write, meditate, cook, star gaze, mushroom forage, feed chickens, for campfires, forest walks and animal watching. If you want to switch off for a while and enjoy nature, this is the place. The place is also well suited for longer breaks, such as writing a book.

From the separate 1200 sqm property in a village location, you have an unobstructed view of the countryside and the starry sky as well as the choice of possible excursion destinations in a landscape and bird paradise or the nearby lake.

When you experience your first Alpine sunset behind the gable-filling panoramic window of our Stadel-Loft, your soul will leap, if not before! You will live at an altitude of about 800m above sea level in the almost untouched nature of the lower Gailtal, in the immediate vicinity of countless Carinthian lakes, surrounded by the spectacular backdrop of the Gailtal and Carnic Alps.

Newly built vintage style apartment in a former barn. The place is beautifully situated by the sea and mountains. Popular fishing spot for trout and salmon. Several kilometers of forest roads for walking. In winter, we have created a suitable fire pit to enjoy the Northern Lights that often beautifully dances across the sky.
