House holiday rentals in Iceland

Nice place to stay with plenty to see around! I worked remotely here and enjoyed the kitties daily visits on the back porch! In unit laundry was wonderful and having all the appliances I needed- kettle, microwave! Thanks for the great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the lovely house. Our highlight was for sure the lovely living area with its huge windows to watch the ocean and the arriving planes as well as fabulous whirlpool :)

Björgvin is a great host and his place was everything our group was looking for. Remote house, with a hot tub, grill and good vibes. The location and the view from the terrace is beautiful with only a few minutes drive to the nearest town. Björgvin was really friendly and offered his assistance if we needed anything which was a nice touch.

What a great find! The place was perfect and the rooms were spacious, warm and comfortable. The kids loved the hot tub and I loved the books! I read a Steinbeck book which I greatly appreciated. The kitchen was beautiful as was the sunroom. I imagine the sunroom would be the perfect room to see the Northern Lights. The neighborhood was peaceful and we even got to spend a little time with one of the neighbors who was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very spacious, clean & nicely designed. If you are looking for horseback riding our kids LOVED “Riding Tours South Iceland.” Our stay was absolutely wonderful. I would love to return there someday.

Great stay in beautiful environment.

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic New Year in a beautiful Nordic family home. Jön's accommodation was beautiful and a wonderful resting place. It was fantastic to stay here in Iceland.

Perfect and spacious accommodation

Fantastic apartment on a farm, complete with friendly dogs. Looked even better than the photos. Beautiful setting, so peaceful but only 10 mins drive from Vik for groceries and gas. Very spacious, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and new looking bathroom with great shower. WiFi was good too. So much to explore within driving distance. Highly recommended .

I was a little nervous when we first pulled up, as the outside looked a little worn. I was quite surprised when I walked inside. It had clearly been remodeled and had the cutest decor. The home was very cozy and inviting. It also smelled lovely. The fold out sofa was extra cozy and my kids enjoyed sleeping on it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer.

This home so great! Had everything g we needed for a big family. Beautiful location, so close to town and was perfect for us in every way.

Great stay, highly recommend!

This was the perfect stop on our travels through Iceland. My kids loved the sheep, the stream and the grass to run in. The house was clean and included all amenities. Our group of 9 was comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that it was 1 1/2 bathrooms. There’s a half bath upstairs with the kitchen and two bedrooms. The washer and dryer were very helpful considering that this stop was a week into our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. Beautiful place, very spacious and comfortable. Wish we could have had more time in the area.

This stay was wonderful. The kitchen had everything we needed (basic spices, dishes utensils, wine glasses, corkscrew, can opener, etc), and we cooked dinner two evenings here. The home was spacious enough for a family of four, but cozy enough to be comfortable. The black out curtains worked well, but we still needed sleep masks for overnight use because three of us are quite sensitive to light when trying to fall asleep. We loved that there was no television, because who needs that on vacation. The grounds were so peaceful as it is connected to a sheep field. Our children loved the grounds and soft grass. (They needed outdoor space after three days in a hotel room.) We used the washer and the clothes line outside to dry our clothes. This is the main reason we booked our stay here, and it paid off. Check-in was easy and Arna was very responsive. Highly recommend spending some of your stay in Iceland here.

We loved our one night stop over in our journey around the Ring Road. The apartment had everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable. The view from the private balcony was spectacular. Our host was very friendly and helpful with all communications. And when we got a little lost finding the apartment, he was very responsive to help guide us. We wish we had more time here in beautiful Siglufjörður. We hope to be back.

We had a short, but very lovely stay in Arnarstapi. Anna Maria is the consummate hostess; she provided a wealth of information before we arrived to make sure that we had everything necessary for a carefree and interesting stay. Our 3 days did not give us enough time to see everything, but it did whet our appetite for a return visit. The house is very conveniently located for traveling around the Snaefellsness peninsula. We would highly recommend the nearby National Park Visitors Center for any additional information you might need.We had excellent local meals out and were very thankful to have such a well equipped kitchen to cook in when we wanted to. Thank you so much, Anna Maria, we are already planning a return trip to Iceland with our children and grandchildren and hope to be able to stay with you again.

We had a fantastic time in the cabin, beautiful views, a fabulous Hot Tub. Loads of space to unwind & a great kitchen, we cooked every evening. Comfy bed, great hot shower & total peace and quiet. Used the Hot Tub every night, Stefan shows you how to fill it. Takes about 2 hours. We saw the Northern lights twice around 1030pm - Midnight. Great base to explore, Akureyri is about 90mins away through an awesome mountain pass. Check the road app for road conditions, we had all 4 seasons on the mountain pass!! Would definitely recommend a stay at this cabin. 3 welcoming dogs, Osk plus 2 others visiting & a very friendly cat, Sigga, who can open the door to get in. 😀

We had a great stay! The view was amazing, and the interior was beautifully designed — even better than the photos. Everything was very clean and well maintained. It’s a bit far from the city, but if you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is perfect.!
