Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Iceland

Our overnight stay during our Iceland round trip in this Airbnb was an absolute highlight. The bungalow is very spacious and offers a spectacular view. In addition to the excellent cleanliness and the very well-equipped kitchen, we particularly liked the stylish and cozy design. We felt completely comfortable here and can definitely recommend this Airbnb!

We loved our stay here, the place was super clean and comfortable for our family of 5. The decor and furnishings were so lovely, we loved all the details. The upstairs and chess board were a fun spot! Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful location and excellent accommodations.

This was a wonderful stay. We appreciated experiencing staying on an Icelandic farm including the opportunity to walk around and observe the farm's animals. The host was very responsive and the freshly picked flowers as a welcome was lovely. I highly recommend you stay here.

We had an amazing time at Emma and Oskar’s place. The location was serene and breathtaking. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. The home was extremely cozy, tasteful, and had everything we could ask for. The deck had gorgeous views, a wonderful hot tub, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable and the entire place had a cozy feel. Hosts gave very clear check in instructions which made it a breeze. The home is close to everything you need. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

A peaceful and private cabin surrounded by mountains and a lake. The house is beautiful and spacious. A well stocked kitchen made it easy to cook dinners and breakfast. Plenty of space for 5 adults and 1 child to spread out and relax. Thankful for such a kind, patient, responsive host!

So glad we chose Margret’s house for our stay. It was so very comfortable and private, while also being convenient to most of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Slept well (recommend eye shades in the summer), had good hot showers in the morning, washer/dryer worked very well, and the angry artic terns only pooped on my head once but that was because I was too close to their nest and didn’t realize it. Margret herself was great to communicate with and had quick answers to all our questions. Our recommendations: - Walk the whole cliff path from Arnarstappi to Hellnar and have a bite to eat at the little cafe at the end. - Eat at Sker (Margret’s recommendation) in Ólafsvík. - Tour the lava tube. - Climb the crater. - Drive the mountain roads.

I cannot praise Kolbrun’s accommodations enough. The only negative was that we only stayed one night! We were so comfortable there, the views were spectacular, and it was so peaceful after traveling for 10 days. Highly recommend!

We will forever remember our stay here in Iceland. Anna is an exceptional host who greeted us on arrival and welcomed us into her beautiful home so kindly. She was available whenever we had questions and was extremely accommodating. The picturesque landscape is quite unbelievable surrounding her home and we felt so welcomed to walk about as we wished. Her home is conveniently located within driving distance for great day trips and her clean hot tub was great to relax in after a day of exploring this beautiful country. Thank you Anna!

We had a very nice time here. It was very quiet, very clean and the jacuzzi was at a nice temperature. Highly recommended if you are visiting Akureyri or Húsavík.

Amazing stay, with anything you possible need. After a week of traveling from hotel to hotel this was just want we needed. felt like at home, we're able to cook our meals and wash our clothes and relax. super clean place and cozy.

This was a great place for us to stay. It’s close to grocery stores and restaurants. It’s also close to the city so it is convenient but it’s very nice that you are not right in the city. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous apartment with very easy access from airport. Comfy seats with the best view, close to shops & restaurants. We stayed for our first couple of nights in Iceland & was the perfect base to explore. Thank you!

Hands down Linda and Gabriel are among the best hosts ever. The place was so cozy and cute for our short stopover in Iceland. It was a great location, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Gabriel picked us up from the airport for a small fee and also gave us several recommendations of places to go and see. He also gave us advice to get a rental car, which is a must in Iceland!! The place is perfect for a couple and we couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed staying at Ragnar's place. It was exactly as pictured and was great for getting around to all the sites. Ragnar is very kind and helped us when we had something go wrong. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed and the bathroom was very big and clean.

We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

This stay was such a highlight of our trip! We really enjoyed the location in a beautiful peaceful neighborhood, right next to the bike/ walking path that you can take into downtown. Helgi and Titti are the best hosts! We felt welcomed as if we were one of their neighbors. Such a joy to hang out in the garden and drink coffees and pet their dog :) they have lots of good local reccommendations. Can’t imagine a better place to stay either as a couple or a solo traveller- can’t wait to be back one day, a very special place.

What a perfect place! Absolutely beautiful surroundings, stunning stables, well-appointed home with all the right pots, pans, and kitchen tools. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the fun kids toys. Our 1.5 year old found all of them and loved playing on the playground out front. We also really enjoyed all of the horse sounds and walking the stables in the mornings and afternoons. The absolute GEM of the property is the private geothermal pools and spa. Incredibly private, modern and with breathtaking views, this made our stay that much more magical. It was a one minute drive from the house, just up the hill. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

Super kind and amazing hosts! Fantastic view and really cozy apartment. Feeling “home” and comfort embraced all the days there. Clean, modern with touch of artistry apartment-studio. All needed equipment available. Silence and peace with beautiful view and kind people.

Wow! This was literally the best place we stayed in Iceland and also maybe the best AirBnB experience we've had (and there have been A LOT over the years). Hilmar is a GREAT host -- and the apartment is both quirky, clean, peaceful, super comfortable AND in the middle of all the action in Reykjavik. We loved the art, the kitchen, the adorable bathroom, the sun streaming in off the deck, the bakery down the street. We cannot rave enough about this place. Book it if you can. Oh -- and parking was surprisingly easy despite it being centrally located.

We were completely satisfied with our stay and felt very comfortable throughout. The apartment is well-equipped, in a great location, and the parking spot in the underground car park was super convenient. Highly recommended! When we are in Reykjavik again, we will gladly book Kjartans apartment again.
