Castle holiday rentals in Lower Normandy

We had an exceptional stay. Jeanne is a lovely host, attentive, available, she made us discover the secrets of her region and we had a very pleasant time with her. The castle is superb and comfortable in an idyllic setting 5 minutes from the beach. Jeanne is a woman of taste, the house is adorned with designer rooms and sublime works in a way of detail. I hope you stay there and meet Jeanne.

Ideal stay for two families with children able to share bunk beds. No wifi, but we are not at Beaumesnil castle to spend your time on the web. The real interest of this cottage that remains expensive is the access to the castle park which is most of the time closed: a door to the cottage overlooks the interior of the castle, with an access in a huge garden full of farm animals, a paradise for kids, peacocking, geese, sheep, ducks, ducks, goats, pony. We were even able to visit the Chateau de Beaumesnil for free, the drawbridge was down. The heater works perfectly. Only Repproche: a corkscrew was missing… and that… would almost deserve a star less haha. Dear, but EXCELLENT VALUE for MONEY for families with children between 5-12 years old, especially to discover the countryside. Very proactive, nice hosts, hosting the castle in support. Super flexible check-in and checkout. (we left around 5pm) Congrats!!!

The cottage is a part of the castle. The site is beautiful, very quiet with a huge park. Ideal for bringing together a large family.

Perfect weekend with friends at the Miserai. The Chateau is very pleasant despite the weekend temperatures (-8 per night!). The hunting room was perfect for hosting the anniversary of the weekend! Celine recommended a good catering address to us and it was very convenient. The brewery on the estate is not to be missed.

Great apartment with everything we needed. central to all restaurants and local amenities. Great host, very friendly and helpful! A lovely quiet and peaceful place to stay for us. Would recommend as a great location.

An absolutely immaculate chateau in the heart of Normandy, perfect for large groups. We had 8 persons and one dog and it was perfect (with room for others if needed). A massive kitchen perfectly stocked everything you could need, was quite nice for cooking dinners. The outdoor space was fantastic, we spent each night outside. The living room has a massive fireplace that keeps the house warm if required and the chateau is perfectly stocked with wood. Location wise is great, a quick drive to Cherbourg and not far from the Normandy beaches or any other aspects of Normandy that anyone would like to visit. And finally the hosts are great, many suggestions of what to see within the area and always happy to have a chat. I can’t recommend this place enough! The only downside is you’ll never want to leave.

Beautifully located, very friendly host and hostess. Large areas available, well planned apartment and access to patio and garden. Avoidable!

We had a lovely stay at Monique's, discovering Cotentin. The accommodation is in a peaceful place where it's nice to enjoy the terrace. Everything was very clean.

Apart from the fact that the place is as incredible as it looks in the photos, Kate and Paul and amazing hosts. They really wanted us to take on the full experience of the château. Definitely the biggest selling point is the location and the views you get walking around and inside the grounds. I highly recommend it as a quick getaway from the madness of Paris.

A fantastic family chateau that accommodated 3 families comfortably, and even nicer in real life than in the photos. Large well kept grounds and loads of space to explore. There is plenty to do in the local area. Basic amenities within a few minutes' drive including a great riverside bistro in Daon, the nearby large town of Chateau-Gontier is 15 mins away while Angers is around 40 mins away for everything a city provides. Highly recommended!

A great stay I arrive through a main driveway on the side of the castle, a view of the small chapel. Valentin the caretaker welcomes us. I enter through the door on the side overlooking an entrance where wood is stored that stone kindly allowed us to use to make a fire in the large fireplace Passing through a back door and I discover the huge living room, a large red carpet, sofas and armchairs facing the fireplace gave us good moments of sharing and conversations Beautiful paintings adorn the walls as well as a beautiful hanging. A Pleyel quarter-tail piano on which I was able to play to the delight of mine Suits a beautiful large dining room Kitchen is very functional and fully equipped Upstairs the bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect comfortable and spacious Brazier outside many amenities The pleasure of seeing the deer in the early morning from the living room The history of the castle makes it a deserving place

We had a great stay in Francoise's house. Loved the charming kitchen and fire place in particular!

We had such a wonderful stay at Marina’s Chateau. It is incredibly gorgeous, so peaceful, and close to many things in the Loir Valley. We were within 1 hour of Chambord, Chenonceau, Le Mans Circuit. The views were truly amazing from every window. We occupied the eastern half of the Château with all the privacy we could ask for. There are four bedrooms upstairs that worked great for us with our children and also a bedroom on the main floor. Bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked with linens. You’re five minutes from a delicious bakery, 10 minutes from the Super U grocery store. Marina also gave some other excellent recommendations. We are truly thrilled that we chose to stay here. The Château has some amazing history, much of it, kept with the pictures and the originality of the building from the floors to other artifacts. And it was so wonderful to hear some of the history from Marina herself. If you’re traveling with your family, skip the hotel and get yourself a Château.

Very nice accommodation to have a good time with friends. Host available and responsive, location with a great view of the valley. i would highly recommend it!

The chateau was everything we thought it would be from the moment we drove through the gate. The serene setting was welcoming and inviting. The gardens and landscaping were lush and picturesque. Upon entering the front door, we felt like we’d been transported to the 16th century. Wood floors, flowing draperies and richly colored walls all add to the general ambiance. There are numerous bedrooms from which to choose, playrooms for children, spacious living and dining rooms and a kitchen meant for gathering. The kitchen is well stocked and the fireplace warms the rooms and its inhabitants. The two outdoor tables provide opportunities to enjoy the setting while sipping wine or eating a meal, Marc was very accommodating. He offered suggestion for things to do and places to shop in Sartilly.

Marie-Claude did everything to be pleasant to us, installing an extra camp bed in a room because we came with 3 children and they didn't want to be separated. She was very kind.

What an amazing piece of history and we felt so privileged to stay in such a historical Maison. Wilford takes such pride and pleasure in his third generation Maison. The breakfast was all locally sourced including apples, honey and jam from his property. I would recommend anyone using this as their home based place to stay while touring the Normandy region.

It's a beautiful house with a spotless host. Located in nature and very quiet. We can see deer in the garden. A few things to improve though: umbrella to change, two screws around the pool to be screwed back in full and replace some boards on the pool deck
