Cabin holiday rentals in Mälaren

It’s hard to express just how much of a fantastic time my partner and I had at this stunning cottage in the Swedish countryside. The outdoor greenhouse was perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner and the hot tub was wonderful underneath the stars in peaceful surroundings. Nils left us a useful guidebook containing a wealth of information for local walks, hikes, activities and recommended restaurants, complete with clear instructions for navigation. We enjoyed a beautiful local nature reserve based on this. Two electric bikes were available for our use - this was a lovely touch which would enhance any stay. We travelled here primarily as it is within a 40 minute drive of Kolmården, which is probably the world’s best wildlife park and zoo, featuring one of the world’s highest ranked RMC rollercoasters. It’s also easy to reach this place from Stockholm via train to Nyköping, before a 10 minute drive to the property. A 10/10 Airbnb which we look forward to returning to in the future.

Linus was erg behulpzaam en reageerde snel. De accommodatie was erg knus en schoon. Er was ook een hele mooie tuin. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad en raden het zeker aan!

The home was beautiful, great location with an amazing view out to the archipelago. It has everything that you would need, and more! The jacuzzi was a great touch, something we used later in the evening when the boats go through the water in front of you. Markus was a great host, and gave the perfect introduction to the area with lot's of tips. Really happy we booked this place, we will be back again!

Great spot for a relaxing stay. Helene was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants in the area. We really liked the hot tub.

We had a great girls trip at Jacueline’s cottage! Gorgeous surroundings, which made a perfect escape from the city for a few days. Jacueline was very communicative, checking in to make sure we settled in well and were enjoying our stay. Definitely recommend!

Ho trascorso due splendidi giorni in questo piccolo cottage. Si può esplorare la natura circostante e l'area è molto tranquilla e rilassante. Se si ha una macchina è molto ben connesso con l'aeroporto di Arlanda e ci si può facilmente recare a Stoccolma e Uppsala. Izabella è stata una host fantastica, sempre attenta al proprio ospite! Lo raccomando!

What a great couple! Very friendly and receptive. We had an issue with the washer and jimmy was right over to assit and even took out laundry back to their house to do it. Gave us suggestions on things to see- which is did and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend his place. If you ever visit Canada, send me a message !! Cheers Jimmy and Pernilla 🇨🇦

Unser Aufenthalt bei Monica war Super. Wir haben die Woche am See und die Ruhe sehr genossen. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut, es war alles vorhanden. Monica hat sich am Tag nach unserer Anreise auch erkundigt, ob wir noch etwas benötigen.

En jättefin stuga i mysig miljö. Nära till sjön där vi badade och åkte ut med roddbåten. Vi firade vår bröllopsdag och hade det underbart. Katarina var en toppenvärd. Nästa gång så stannar vi fler nätter. Dan, Anna och Myran 😀

Jättetrevlig vistelse i så mysig stuga! Stugan hade allt man behövde och va verkligen toppen för att komma ifrån stan och ut på landsbygden en stund. Superbra värdar med bra och trevlig kommunikation. Priset va rimligt.

Me and a group of friends rented this cabin for a weekend and it was great. Beautiful location, great access to the lake for swimming and overall just a very nice place to hang out. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and really want you to have a great time. Bonus points for letting us use their SUPs and kayak. We totally want to come back another time!

Wunderschöne Insel zum Entspannen! Klein, aber fein! Mit zahmen Schafen und vielen Vögeln zum beobachten. Die Ausstattung ist sehr einfach, etwa wie bei einer Berghütte, dafür aber tolles Naturerlebnis und Urlaub von Autos, Hektik usw. Wir waren nun schon zum zweiten Mal da. Janne & Karin sind sehr freundlich.

We had an amazing time. It was the highlight of our Trip to Sweden. It helped that we had great weather, so we were able to take the boat out and sit at the dock. Many things to explore in the area. The sauna at the end of the day was great. Josef and Anne were very responsive and sweet. Definitely recommend, and we would very much like to return.

Bra boende, speciellt om man reser med hund med nära till skog och Mälaren. Privat fast det är en gäststuga.

Vi hade 3 nätter i Kerstins fantastiskt mysiga sjöstuga. Omgivna av vatten och skogen runt knuten vrvade vi verkligen ner dom här dagarna. Brasan sprakade fint om kvällarna medan vi rensade svamp. Vi hade allt vi behövde i bekvämligheter, dessutom den lilla ekan som tog oss ut till ön rakt över med sin fint belägna eldplats. Ett par abborrar och nån gädda blev det. Kerstin var behjälplig och trevlig att ha att göra med. 10 av 10! Vi kommer mer än gärna tillbaka!

Nous avons passé ici un séjour magique. Lena et son mari sont absolument adorables, accueillant et très gentils. On s'est tout de suite senti bien ici. La maison est très confortable, décorée avec soin. Il y a plein de choses sur la propriété qui permettent de vivre l'expérience suédoise complètement. Les hôtes ont été à notre écoute et ont tout fait pour que l'on passe un séjour parfait. Nous n'avons qu'une envie : revenir !

This was our second time staying at this beautiful cabin, and the emotions were just as strong as the first time. It’s the perfect getaway from the city – just a few days here feels like stepping into a fairytale. The house is right by the water, and waking up to that serene lake view while having breakfast is absolutely magical. The cabin has everything you need to fully relax and enjoy the experience without any worries. Every detail is thoughtfully arranged to make you feel at home. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. They left us some treats and even organized a little Easter egg hunt for us – such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special❤️

We loved this beach house. It’s even more beautiful than the photos and very well-equipped and furnished. Even though it feels quiet and tranquil on the lake it’s very easy to get into Stockholm. Peter was very helpful and friendly and we’d love to return.

Unser Aufenthalt in Lisas Haus war toll. Das Häuschen ist sehr schön eingerichtet, es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und tipptopp sauber. Unser Lieblingsplatz war die Hängematte auf der Terrasse. Beeren sammeln kann man gleich vor der Haustüre. Lisas Ausflugstipps haben wir befolgt und mehrere Tage an der Küste oder auf den Schäreninseln verbracht. Eine wunderschöne Gegend! Wir können die Unterkunft vollstens weiterempfehlen und wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Fin liten stuga alldeles vid vattnet och med utsikt över fjärden. Enkel standard men med allt man behöver. Paula är en omtänksam värd som får gäster att känna sej välkomna. Ett plus är förstås att vår hund också var välkommen. Vi kommer gärna igen!

Erittäin viihtyisä ja rauhallinen kohde. Majoittaja oli hyvin ystävällinen ja auttavainen.

Mysigt ställe! Värden var flexibel med antalet gäster, vi lade till några efter bokningen utan problem. Väldigt fridfullt och jättefin trädgård med egen uteplats. Rekommenderas starkt!
