By foot you need about 20 min to the Marburg castle and to the old part of the town. Private entrance, parking spot outside the house. Terasse. Private access. Parking in front of the house. Patio. The Marburg-Ockershausen district starts after Universitätsstrasse. It is a quiet neighbourhood towards southwest Marburg. The district Marburg-Ockershausen is close by the central quarter of the universitystreet. It is a quiet area to live in the southwest of the city of marburg.

Enjoy life in this quiet and centrally located small smart house. Beautiful plank floors adorn the accommodation and make it very comfortable. In the sun, the terrace invites you to linger. Whether for a coffee, or just to sunbathe. Direct access from the terrace to the kitchen makes it particularly interesting and comfortable. In the house is a staircase that is slightly steeper and narrower (see photos). In addition, my practice for osteopathic treatments is in the house.

Our place is close to beautiful meadows and hills, ideal for relaxing, hiking, going offline.... You'll love our Lydi-Hütt' because of the location, because of the little something extra, and the surroundings of our beautiful Vogelsberg. My place is good for couples, solo travelers, families (with kids), and dogs. The renovated half-timbered house is located in the hamlet of Schmitten. A hamlet is a very small residential development with approx. 10 houses. Pure idyll.

Small half-timbered house near Marburg

The newly renovated former community house from the early 19th century. century impresses with its unique atmosphere. The rooms are rather low with a maximum room height of less than 2 meters and very original due to the clay plastered walls and visible beams. (The lowest passage measures about 178 cm) The rooms are spread over two floors. On the first floor there is the living/dining area and the kitchen, on the upper floor there are bedrooms and a bathroom.

A small half-timbered house sleeps 4 - 5 people. On the first floor are the entrance area and the kitchen, upstairs the bathroom, the bedrooms and the living room. The bedroom has a double bed, 180 cm. In addition, there is a loft bed level for two people, 140 cm above the living room. In the living room, there is a sofa bed for 1 person. The ladder to the loft bed cannot be removed or locked. You should consider this if you want to travel with children.

In the garden you can sit and barbecue in the countryside (also covered). Located on the edge of the Burgwald, on the German Fairy Tale Route, it is an ideal starting point for hiking, cycling or excursions by car to e.g. Marburg (14 km), Winterberg (47 km) or Edersee (57 km).

We offer you our non-smoking house renovated in 2025 with 2 bedrooms with king size beds, a high-quality fully equipped kitchen, a living/dining room with fireplace & TV, a guest toilet and a bathroom with a spacious shower. The washing machine can be used if necessary. From the open conservatory you have access to the beautiful garden which invites you to relax, enjoy and have a barbecue party. We have bicycles that you can rent for free.
