Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Nags Head

Wonderful place and very pet friendly. The location of the house on a beach access point/path was such an important benefit that I had not realized when booking the house (I did not know that there were specific beach access points and if you were not on a beach path, you had to walk to one and then head east to get to the beach) The beach cart and all of the beach accessories were terrific (shibuni, chairs, towels, cooler, beach mat, toys, bikes ect.) no need to pack/bring anything for the beach with you! Thanks for a great stay!

This was our second year at Serene Retreat. It’s just such a wonderful place for young children to enjoy the beach. The fenced in yard is great for their outdoor play. We enjoy cooking in the fabulous kitchen and feasting at the table with a view. Better than any restaurant around! Thank you again.

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

Our family had a great vacation. The house was beautiful with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for all of us!! The house is private but very close to the beach, dunes, restaurants and shops. Would definitely love to visit again!

Great place for small family or two couples. Space was well decorated and cared for, very clean. Great fenced in backyard.

Perfect location with a short walk to the beach! Also very close to restaurants and sights to see. Alison was very easy to work with and had all the amenities for the perfect beach trip. We were happy to call her place home for a few days!

We loved that we were able to walk to the beach and to the bay. Also loved the beach parking pass to give us the option to drive to the beach. We used the beach chairs, boogie boards and bicycles and all of them were fantastic! Very comfortable house, felt right at home there. Perfect house for a family to use. Also very helpful that Target, Publix and tons of restaurants were very close.

Dana and her co Host was amazing we had the best few days of vacation possible in the outer banks 100% recommend Dana’s place we will for sure be back next year and anytime we go to obx !

This is an excellent location for the entire Outer Banks. Recommendations on things to do and places to eat were very good. The automatic lights for taking the dog out at night were perfect. Check in/out instructions were very detailed. Jenna & Tim were great hosts. Lots of amenities and great layout. Lots of fans, lighting and outlets. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. When we return to the Outer Banks this will be the first place we look for availability. Scouting Waves is a lovely spot and Natalie is an ideal host! This is a newly renovated property that offers a great layout for guests and families traveling together. The house is comfy and pool is delightful. I suspect we are one of few guests who’ve stayed at Scouting Waves since the renovation, and while there could have been more dining seating and a *front and center* info sheet, my interactions with Natalie were so pleasant and prompt and she offered immediate solutions! We had a lovely getaway to OBX and Natalie and Scouting Waves offered such a warm welcome! We’ll be back for another visit in the future!

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

The house was in a great area, really close to the beach and really spacious. Our hosts were really kind and responsive to anything we needed. I would definitely come back and stay.

Perfect place for family time! My family plus dog enjoyed our stay very much. The house looks just like the pictures provided, we enjoyed morning breakfast on the back screened in porch and fun filled afternoons kayaking and laying out on the back dock. The house was clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed our stayed so much we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Swimming and Boating over Memorial Day weekend! The house was spotless, well-stocked with everything we needed, and perfectly located—just a short walk to the beach with beautiful views. Debbie, was fantastic—she communicated clearly and thoughtfully throughout our stay, and even left us an amazing bottle of wine, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Connie was the ideal hostess! From the delicious local treats to the outside lounging sanctuary, her place was the perfect spot for my husband & I to enjoy some peaceful time away. MANY bonus points for the water cooler and fully fenced-in yard for our pup! Would definitely recommend!

Great location, only a five minute walk to the beach and you can hear the waves while sitting on the top deck. The house had everything we needed. It was perfectly decorated and very comfortable for lounging after the day's adventures. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our family with dogs, and included a picnic table next to the grill which was perfect for seafood eating. Bikes were great and many other beach necessities for the summer months. Brian provided very detailed instructions and suggestions for restaurants and more. Great place!

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!

Great place at Nags Head and convenient to area attractions yet in a quite private setting. The house is in great condition and is as described.
