Beachfront holiday rental in San Joaquin River

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean, well-appointed, and exactly as described. The detached space is great if needed for extra room to sleep, play or work. The house is in an amazing location! Steps from the coast and a 10-15 walk to sandy beaches, restaurants and more. Hosts were super responsive and helpful. We’ll be back!

Stayed with my husband and parents here for our wedding week that was happening in the area. The place was plenty spacious for 4 people! Much better than a hotel room would’ve been. Gave us quality time cooking in the kitchen and hanging out in the living room, enjoying the hottub & heated pool and the beach! The ocean view from the dining table and the front porch is STUNNING!! The place is nice, well kept, and has everything you need! Any small things that popped up, Patti was helpful and fixed right away! Would definitely stay here again!!

Sean's cottage is an absolute delight, we moved in as though it was our own home. Worth reading previous reviews mentioning building works next door. As we were prepared for this (they started 8am promptly Mon-Fri), also ants (which didn't show up) and the racoon in the bins (which did show up) none of this was an issue, and was reflected in the reduced rental. Sean was an excellent host, replied speedily to any queries, including calling a plumber for a minor problem. The cottage is the most homely of places, there's everything you could need, the kitchen is generously equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The pretty patio is full of flowers and birds. Since it was April, we were not outside in the evenings, but it seems noise is an issue with neighbours. There are polite but firm notices requesting no outside noise after 9pm which could be difficult on hot summer evenings. This was one of our favourite Airbnbs, the location is fabulous, so much to do, we were busy all the time

Booked Jules home last minute for a family weekend getaway and it was the most beautiful experience we have ever had! The home was gorgeous, open concept, lots of windows and the master suite was right out of heaven. Hot tub over looking the water, stairs to the dock, it was just incredible. Couldn't have asked for more!! Oh and a hibachi stove in the kitchen which was PERFECT for a large group to feed!!

Such an epic spot right where you need to be. Walking distance to everything from the point to the shops on 41st. It’s such a cute spot.

Liz’s rental exceeded expectations. It felt very cozy, providing that beach home feeling. The beach was a quick stroll away, and it is dog friendly! My pup and I very much enjoyed our time at Liz’s spot. Thank you for relaxing vacation Liz!

We loved our stay at the Brown Barn! You can tell the care the owner, Rich, puts into the place. Our family loved the pool and foosball tables so much that we didn’t even turn on the TV’s. Beds are very comfy allowing us to sleep great, and the bathroom has a heated floor which was a nice plus. The location is outstanding and we would definitely love to stay here again!

Serene, beautiful and comfortable! We stayed here for a multi-generational family get-together. Great views of the lake and hills from the kitchen, balcony and sitting room. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and listen to the birds and feel the breeze, to walk around the lake and to watch a few family members fish - altogether, they caught (and released) around 50 fish. We all slept so well on the very comfortable beds (so important to me). The mattresses, sheets and pillows were all super comfortable, and I loved that there were 3 king beds. Bring insect repellent, as this is the countryside, and there were both flies and mosquitoes. There were flies in the house on the first day, but then we kept windows/screens closed, and it was ok. We were not bothered by insects while having breakfast on the balcony. Bring lace-up shoes for walking around the lake, as the path is dusty, and one part is a bit steep. Check pets for stickers and burrs. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Kristina’s place was absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured. Breath taking ocean views and a short 5 minutes down to the beach. Kristina was very friendly checking in with us to make sure our trip was going good and if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again !!! Great host great place and beautiful city !!

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautifully appointed and in a perfect location to fully enjoy Pine Mountain Lake. Ed was an incredibly responsive and proactive host—every question we had was answered quickly and thoroughly. His communication made the experience smooth from start to finish. The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

I stayed here with a few of my bridesmaids while looking for a wholesome weekend getaway near Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, and this place absolutely exceeded our expectations. The home is nestled in a beautiful, private community that felt safe, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing—perfect for unwinding and bonding before the big day. The views from the property were absolutely stunning. Whether we were sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, the scenery was breathtaking and added such a magical touch to our stay. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. We also loved how easy it was to get around. Whether we were exploring charming shops and restaurants in Carmel-by-the-Sea or spending time along the coast in Monterey, everything was conveniently close and accessible. This spot was ideal for creating special memories, and I would absolutely recommend it.

It was a great stay. We loved our time there and would definitely visit again.

Pacific Breeze was a fantastic place to stay, beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, well equipped, very clean and excellent communication and response to our questions. Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay from comfortable beds, upgraded bathrooms, well appointed and clean kitchen to tasteful decor. Everything we wanted or could need was available and we felt welcomed and comfortable. The access to the beach was easy and the room stocked with beach necessities and extras was a huge bonus. Only used Airbnb a handful of times, but this was far & away the best experience I've had. My family of 6 rented the house with my brother (family of 3) and our uncle for a celebration of life for my dad. 4 adults & 6 kids is a lot in 1 home, but the separation of space allowed us to hang out together without being on top of each other the entire time. Kids watched movies late into the night in the game room without disturbing the adults. The location on the lake was fantastic & Yosemite Valley is only a 1.5-hour drive away, fine for a day trip. Would 100% recommend.

I can’t boast about this place enough. Holly went above and beyond to communicate with me. She gave lots of recommendations for food places. We tried Manuel’s, Venus, Pizza my Heart, and The Hideout. Hands down, hideout was my favorite! The home was BEAUTIFUL! Literally, a dream! Our kids (12 & 7) loved it too. We celebrated my son’s 7th bday there. We beached every single day! Their home was beautiful, clean, and magical. The hubby and I slept with the doors cracked open upstairs and literally fell asleep and woke up to the crashing waves. Walk across the street and you’re on the beach! It was heaven. I told my family I was depressed coming back home. HA! The backyard was darling! The lights were my favorite & I didn’t realize there was a little sandpit. Such a great gem. We were welcomed with a basket too. Filled with local bread, taffy (my fav), cookies, wine and coffee; Even with a hand written note. I can’t wait to book their home again. It was a dream. Thank you for having us!!
