Very clean and quiet place. The bed was very cozy and the kitchen had everything you need for a cozy BBQ. The grill, the fireplace and the hot tub were easy to use and enriched our vacation. We highly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at Effeniks's! In retrospect, we secretly regret that we hadn't booked much longer. The hot tub with large wide views, exactly where the sun goes down, is wonderful. The cottage is beautiful, clean and equipped with every comfort. Really a place to relax and get out of the daily hustle and bustle.

Jan provided us with a more spacious cabin that was more suitable for our needs (small camping bed for baby). The cabin had just been renovated, everything was new and clean. That's very kind of him. We were located on the edge of a lake overlooking the countryside fields (cows) it was very peaceful. Also there were campfires and there is enough to entertain young and old. I recommend it!

If you want to stay overnight in the Plattenland, this is absolutely recommended. The description already indicated that it is “back to the basics” staying overnight, so you should definitely take that into account. The chalets are simple but cozy, with a kitchenette, water heater with tap water and heating for a pleasant temperature. The plumbing is in a shared space, and while it is not luxurious, everything is functional with simple showers and toilets. The absolute highlight? Each chalet has its own jacuzzi with views over the country. You can also make your own campfire, although you have to arrange wood yourself. The only thing to take into account is that the chalets are next to each other and the path to the shared sanitary facilities runs along the chalets. So there is no complete privacy and tranquility. But that doesn't take away from this great experience of staying “on the farm”, where you wake up in the morning with a view over the countryside and the day starts in your own jacuzzi

The property was amazing, in a very beautiful village with peaceful scenery. The hosts provided us with free bicycles which we used in the mornings to visit nearby villages. We used the hot tub twice and sauna once, which was worth it and very enjoyable. The hot tub and sauna was for our private use and we had full privacy. The only small problem we had was that there were no restroom on the 2nd floor where the sleeping room was. Other than that we definitely recommend the property.

Jody and Huib welcomed us and our young sheepdog very warmly. The accommodation is simply fantastic and beautiful. Even more beautiful than the pictures show. The garden is completely fenced, which made our stay with a dog very relaxing. The location of the place is also great. 20-25 minutes to all beaches on the west coast. Approximately 50 minutes to Amsterdam. There are shopping facilities for daily needs in a supermarket about 5 minutes away by car. We definitely had a very nice vacation and can only recommend this accommodation.

The stay was terrific. It is a cozy and complete cottage surrounded by greenery, with the sound of rustling trees, birds and a rooster. We will definitely come back with our cat.

Nice cottage in the center of Gorredijk, all amenities in the immediate vicinity, yet quietly located. In addition, the cottage has a nice terrace/garden, where the afternoon sun can be enjoyed.

Accommodation (cottage) remarkable for its quiet location and its authentic decoration and with great taste, a (real) Dutch country house! Beautiful view from the kitchen / dining room over the countryside, in the gardens of many birds. Carina is a very efficient and discreet person. We would recommend this lovely house very warmly, we had a great week there. Good option also to visit the country, nothing is really far away. In addition the small historic town of Hoorn is charming, and there are 3 supermarkets and many shops, bars, restaurants just 12 Km away. We'll be back as soon as we can… Didier & Yency

Excellent stay that allowed us to discover the region by bike. The weather was not great and we could not enjoy the very nice patio and garden. Jikke and Jan are very welcoming, attentive to ensuring our comfort and very responsive to any questions. Thank you!

Very nice cottage in a quiet park, at the edge of the village of Terherne. The cottage has all the comforts, the bed is top and the sauna is a nice extra. Definitely recommended!

Great place to stay on a beautiful lake. Many possibilities, especially for children. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our vacation early due to illness, but we would be happy to come again!

A super nice place on the water. The outdoor seating was very nice, you can see sunset and at night a beautiful starry sky. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a nice shower. At night it is cold and there are a lot of spiders, but that's not that crazy. All in all had a very nice weekend here!

The campsite is located on the Fluessen in a beautiful area. It is quiet, but there is also plenty to do nearby. If you decide to visit Friesland, I definitely recommend this cottage. I expect to visit again soon!

We arrived a little later than expected and were still able to check in flexibly. Everything was ready for us in the house and we immediately felt comfortable. It was wonderfully quiet and cozy. TV and internet are not working yet. But if you bring HDMI cable and laptop, you can connect this and watch movies on the TV. Internet only via your own mobile hotspot. Thank you again for everything, it was very nice at your place! :)

A lovely and peaceful place. Perfect for families and for people who want to relax.

We had beautiful weather and then this cottage comes into its own. What a place, enjoy immediately upon arrival. We could sit out and enjoy the view. Kitchen was also nicely complete. Wifi could be better. Bunk bed is for a 185cm teen on the cramped side, but he slept well on the sofa bed. We had rented a Falcon from Allemansend, this was around the corner. We ate deliciously at the restaurant de Fluessen, also within walking distance. Cottage definitely recommended!
