Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Upstate South Carolina

I had a little trouble getting in with the keypad, but that is probably more about my lack of knowledge with keypad entries. 😂 The home was spotless when we arrived and we filled it with lots of laughter and fun! The back deck was amazing - even in a gentle rain. And, our last night there we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. Mike and Cate were INCREDIBLY helpful and communicative. They answered every question within minutes and made us feel well taken care of. Departure was easy and they requested minimal prep for departure. They made staying at their home easy and comfortable. 👍

This was one of my most favorite stays! This was like something out of a movie. Truly, this is the ultimate lake house with the epitome of what everyone envisions when they think lake house. The orange house was decorated beautifully, but not overdone, perfect lake house ambiance. The top deck view of the home over looking the lake was nothing short of magical. Whether it rained or not, it was wonderful to sit and view inside and stay put. The direct doc access and water toys in addition to games, WiFi, and the state of the art hot tub, made this a vacation with choices. With so much available to do, we were never bored. Waking up to deer in the front yard and a visit from the lake cat, it felt like we were in a fairytale. My daughter, boyfriend, and I truly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back and stay here again. Marvin was an amazing host making sure we got in okay and asking if we needed anything. I feel fully refreshed coming back from vacation. So grateful!

We had a blast. The creek and scenery was awesome. The cabin was perfect. We even got in the creek and played some. Clayton was an awesome town as well. Highly recommend.

Heather and Bob’s Air BnB was beautiful and private. It was the cleanest place I have stayed in and they provided nice treats for us. The local recommendations were great. The communication from Heather and Bob was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was perfect! We felt so comfortable and relaxed. It smelled good, looked good and was really clean! The hot tub was easy to use and we took advantage each night the weather allowed. We didn’t want to leave and will absolutely stay again! Graham was very responsive and helpful. We had not a single thing we didn’t like or wished was different. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Oh yes, easy storage to unpack and “live” here for a week!

The house is beautiful, spacious, and relaxing, with an amazing view of the lake and surrounding wildlife. Spotting bald eagles, blue herons, and hawks was a special treat.

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home with its incredible views of Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls from the deck & patio! Lisa & Johns place is close to town, yet it is in a gated community up the mountain so its totally private & peaceful with it's awesome mountain views by day and a million stars at night! We spent time in Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Asheville, The Biltmore, Black Mountain and more, everything was easy to get to. I highly recommend this home!

Dylan’s home was exactly how it was described. There was lots of natural light and was very comfortable. We enjoyed the coffee machine and all the amenities. The robes and toiletries were a nice touch. Dylan was very responsive and friendly. We would definitely recommend staying at the hutch!

This is our second stay at Aramis's home. It was just as lovely the second time around. We were in town for a horse show at TIEC. The rental is comfortable and feels like a home away from home. The neighborhood is lovely and peaceful. Aramis is a wonderful host. He is very responsive and goes the extra mile providing snacks and breakfast foods. We will definitely stay again!

A fun family spot!

Alex & Josh were great host! Communicated clear & easy check in and check out instructions and were check in with us throughout our stay. The cabin itself was beautiful and clean, it was stocked with everything we needed pretty much in the kitchen and bathrooms. There were little chocolates on all the beds when we arrived, there were all different types of towels, to bathe, pool towels even make up towels which was , little thoughtful details we appreciated. The location was really great! My boyfriend and I were able to do a bunch of hikes near by but also be close enough to enjoy the downtown Asheville area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return!

Highly recommend this place! We rented it for a bridal/bachelorette party weekend for five women, and it was marvelous! Early instructions about check in were informative. We lived in the hot tub. When there was an issue on Friday evening, we contacted the host who responded within the hour. Kitchen worked great for our personal French cooking lesson. We had a blast playing pool downstairs. And oh how the beds were comfortable, with great sheets to boot! Great views out the living room and kitchen to enjoy your morning coffee. What a great place!

I had an amazing stay at Casey’s place! The home was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, with beautiful views of Lake Lure. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful decor and extra amenities. Casey was a fantastic host—quick to respond, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay in Lake Lure!

We really enjoyed our weekend! The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. And the view was breathtaking! It was the perfect place for our whole family to gather and celebrate our son’s graduation from WCU!

Eric was always quick to respond to my questions. Was willing to give genuine suggestions. Was very easy to talk to. Loved the location and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We had a wonderful family time at Parker’s cabin. Has everything you may need to enjoy your time in the secluded woods of NC. Very private but with all the amenities you may need. Internet was good and the place very comfortable. It was quite rainy during our stay but we had no issues staying in and enjoying the hot tub from time to time. Would fully recommend this place to any one. Thank you Parker!

Extreme attention to detail. Several amenities in case we forgot something. Well laid out. Peaceful cul-d-sac. Even the grill was cleaned out and preset for us.

Staying at Lee’s cabin was an absolute dream. Perched atop a mountain with wide open views in every direction, the setting was peaceful and awe-inspiring. The home itself is a gorgeous 70’s modern build, full of character with striking angles, massive windows, and natural light pouring in from every side. It’s the perfect blend of style, comfort, and immersion in nature. Lots of stone, glass, and wood. Lee was a fantastic host—communication was clear, check-in was seamless, and everything about the experience felt easy and welcoming. I found myself wishing I could extend my stay, but I knew snagging more time at a place like this wouldn’t be easy! Truly one of the most memorable stays I’ve had. No complaints at all—just gratitude. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Lola’s getaway in Lake Lure was a great stay. It’s very private with beautiful scenery. It’s about 25 minutes to the lake but it’s worth being the distance for the privacy. The owners are very responsive and very nice to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful trip! Enjoyed the fire pit and beautiful views from the deck. Our first time to the smoky mountains and we were very pleased with the location and ease of getting to the park. Especially enjoyed the quieter side of the park. Host was very responsive to our questions and things we needed help with. We would definitely stay at their properties again. Cozy bed and everything we needed for the week. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Such a beautiful cottage! It was small, but it felt roomy and had great outdoor space. Thoughtful touches inside like a welcome note, wine glasses and a variety of coffee, teas and cocoa. It was an easy drive to Helen and the hot tub and fire place were wonderful!

Me and my husband searched for the perfect romantic getaway for our late honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary. When we came across Knotty But Nice we were sold! The view was immaculate, pictures do not do justice. The house was extremely clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Overall peaceful and private! The drive up was pretty scary the first time, I’m definitely glad that we had an SUV! But 10/10 recommend! We are already planning another trip in the fall. Thanks Dana & Trish! 😊
