Your apartment is on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace and the 2,000 sqm natural garden. You enter the apartment through a large wind trap that delimits the hallway in the living area with another door. On the right is the second bedroom with single bed and sofa bed (a total of 3 beds). Next to it the main bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet and large sink, all bright tiled. Opposite you will find the dressing room with a gigantic fitted wardrobe. Through the hallway you pass a storage room into the main living area. A bright, modern, fully equipped kitchen-living room with 4-burner ceramic hob and 2-burner gas hob, oven, large refrigerator, modern dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. invites you to cook together, comfortably. A generous „collection surium“ of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and other kitchen accessories is also available. Directly adjacent to the kitchen is the dining table (extendable) for up to 8 people. Live cooking is therefore guaranteed. :-) The living room is also integrated into the kitchen and offers a very cozy atmosphere with 2 sofas, satellite TV (48 inch LCD TV), hifi boxes for iPhone/Android/iPod (beastly loud and with full bass). Speaking of cozy: A fireplace is also at your disposal. And if you are not attracted to music and television, we also have a few board games available (chessboard, etc.) The cosy master bedroom with extra shower room and toilet is located in the rear area and has a very, very back-friendly double bed with metal-free slatted frames, new, continuous mattress. If you can't fall asleep, or you don't want to get up, we have a 32-inch TV connected to a satellite. Washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron are also available in the laundry room on the ground floor. You can also „air dry" your laundry in the laundry room. Table, chairs and barbecue are available on the terrace and invite you to relax in the evenings. Campfires in the garden are also possible! In the back of the garden there is a swing for the little ones; or not quite as small ;-) Since this is a dead end, we hardly have any car traffic here either! Location ====================== Your apartment is far from any hustle and bustle. Right behind the house begins the forest that you can explore for yourself. Whether on foot, on horseback, on bike. In the morning you are awakened by the birds. Or the cows. If you like, you can still drive to all Ruhr metropolises (Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Bochum, Essen, etc.) within a maximum of 60 minutes by car and have access to the world there. For example, you can go exploring via the train station in Oberbrügge (about 8km). The regional train will take you to Dortmund Central Station. From Marineheide (approx. 18km) another regional train will take you to the Cologne main train station. Activities ==================== In addition to exploring the forest, you can also enjoy a number of activities for bad weather days. Nearby Lüdenscheid (approx. 19km) has all the shopping, sports and cultural facilities your heart desires. Our vacation apartment THE APARTMENT Without Benedikt Kappenstein, Hof Erlenbruch would not exist in its current form. The guest room in the old haystack was awakened from its slumber and, after more than a year of renovation, was transformed by hand into a vacation home/apartment. The character of the old haystack was partially retained. Thus a piece of luxury was created in the Wildenburger Land on Hof Erlenbruch away from the urban hustle and bustle. The only people who live on Hof Erlenbruch are Benedikt Kappenstein, who manages the farm, his life partner Michael Noiron and their son. There are no cars around the farm and no traffic noise, as the access road ends in the courtyard. There is no Internet connection, as this cannot be provided by the providers and even cell phone reception is not possible on every corner. There is no everyday stress and no noise here. Here you only hear the rustling and cracking of the trees when the wind blows and the occasional howling of a fox. Here you can determine your daily rhythm in harmony with nature. Simply let yourself be carried away into the boundless forest landscapes of mountain and valley of the Wildenburger Land and discover our historic landscapes. Enjoy the tranquility and comfort of our apartment, which invites you to relax. The nearest neighbors are about 800 meters away, here you will experience pure secluded idyll! And if you should be drawn to more populated areas, you can cycle directly out of the courtyard exit and reach the nearest main road after just 2.6 km. A unique mixture of rustic farm and classics in a modern style await our guests in our newly designed apartment. A copper-colored bathtub next to the Jailhouse Bed by Noodles Noodles on the gallery, cozy wooden elements, fireplace and a completely new interior ensure the perfect feel-good atmosphere. Through the large windows you have a view of the surrounding landscape and our alpacas. The bathroom was also completely renovated in 2017 and remains true to the style of the apartment with a mixture of classics and wooden elements. A small kitchenette allows you to cater for yourself if you do not want to visit one of the culinary restaurants in the area. BOOKING You have the option to book the apartment for two or a maximum of four people. On the gallery there is a bed for two people. Below is the distinctive Moule sofa, with a transformation comfort with rotating seats and flexible backrests, which can not only be used as a seat and relaxation furniture, but can also be transformed into a comfortable double bed in a few simple steps.

Relax with the whole family, friends or as a couple at this peaceful place to stay. Our lovingly furnished 200-year-old half-timbered house is located in the middle of the village in a residential area. The garden is fenced off, parking spaces are always available in front of the gate. Nearby there are hiking trails, a playground, swimming lakes and activities of the "Bergisches Land." The house is a place of rest and relaxation. Parties are not allowed. Bed linen included for 4 nights or more.

In the warm season, enjoy a swim in the pool or in the crystal clear lake (SUP/kayak are also available) before watching the stars in the evening.

Spacious gable apartment for a getaway in the countryside

The minimalist design makes the apartment a place of rest. Forest and meadow border the small mountain village and give the feeling of being surrounded by nature. Our nearby “Windbusch” - the local “mountain” - offers one of the distant views for which our area is so much appreciated. From up here you can't see Cologne Cathedral, but at least the Siebengebirge. The proximity to Cologne makes our village particularly attractive, as the city is only 30 km away.

Cozy apartment furnished with a lot of love in an old half-timbered house. Separate entrance, sunny terrace.. here only the birds "disturb". The property is at the end of a dead end in the middle of forest and meadows. Great for hikers and bikers, starting right outside. In the large garden behind the house, you can bask in the sun as you please, sit comfortably under the walnut tree, use the sauna (€10 for additional costs), or end the day by the campfire!

Families get their money's worth, as there is plenty of space outside and plenty of play equipment available.
