Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Albemarle County

Great spot to stay if visiting the eastern area for wineries! They helped us find a shuttle driver for our day and it was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed the deck with fire pit for evenings. There was a kitchen but pans were worn and not enough cutting boards, however much better than other air bnbs we have stayed in. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to cook! Lots of games. Would return!!!

The Inn was the best place to prepare for and stay during our daughter’s wedding weekend. We had everything we needed; the house was beautiful and clean; the beds were comfy. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and around the fire after the festivities. We received 20% off the brewery restaurant and the food was extremely tasty. We highly recommend the Inn!

We absolutely loved our stay. The whole house is an adventure of discovery when you first arrive, much like visiting grandma's as a child. It's beautifully decorated – appropriate to the historic and bucolic surroundings it resides in. It feels as if the love of the family who lived there has included you and cares for you. We enjoyed viewing all the small treasures of history and felt relaxed and comfortable. Suzanne was kind, attentive and informative in perfect amounts. She is a perfect host. Book extra days so you have time to experience all the places to lounge and visit without the rush. We are already talking about when we can come back to tour more of the area now that we know just how centrally located the house is to so many historic sites.

Lisa was a very good host and responded to my messages in a reasonable amount of time. The house was nicely decorated and spacious for our group (5 people). The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The location actually turned out to be better than originally thought for what we wanted to see and do. We were basically 10-15 minutes away from downtown Charlottesville, wineries, and Monticello. We had a great time and plan to come back.

Stayed here for a bachelorette party. The house was perfect for our group. Bev was so nice and helpful - anything we needed she helped us out! The location is also great if you’re wanting to do a bit of everything - wineries, downtown shopping and dining out, breweries, etc! The yard is amazing and it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere when you’re outside on the deck. Highly recommend!

Our spring weekend at the Critzer House was all that we hoped and more. Super clean and plenty of room for everyone to be together, and apart when we wanted; a gas grill to fix barbecue at home; and a lovely fire pit to enjoy in the evening. The location is perfect for those that want to enjoy all that the Nelson 150 Craft Beverage Trail has to offer. Can't recommend enough as the perfect place to stay!

First of all, Kate is a fantastic hostess. She was very accommodating, welcoming and communicative. I greatly appreciated her hospitality. The property is gorgeous and peaceful. It is like a peaceful spa oasis home away from home. You can find comfort in every room. The hot tub is glorious to soak in while staring at the nighttime sky or for watching the sunset. There is practically no light or noise pollution. You can hear the creek down the hill flowing. Most of your neighbors are cows grazing in a field down the drive or an adorable family of foxes on the property. It is a perfect spot to just get away, relax and enjoy a natural setting tucked away in a hillside. Kate has mindfully ensured guests have almost anything you may need to prepare meals in the kitchen. Also plenty of towels and linens. You are about a 15-20 minute drive away from everything C-Ville has to offer. Perfect distance to have access to all you may need and to have peace and quiet. Truly a wonderful spot.

This was such a great Airbnb! The hosts were very, very, very flexible and kind with me and my family during our stay when we needed anything. We had a great time in this amazing property. Amazing views all around, great space, and pristine-clean inside. Also loved that there were already streaming services ready on the tv. Overall, great property and even better hosts!

Very cozy and cute stay close to Charlottesville! It’s super close to town and easy to ride share. Property is very peaceful and relaxing to be at.

Henry’s place was a wonderful home base for our weekend trip to Charlottesville. The apartment was spotless, and the view is beautiful. They provide a binder of local recommendations, which we found very helpful. We had planned to spend some time in Charlottesville/south of Charlottesville for one day, and towards the Afton area for another day - Henry’s place is perfectly situated between both of those areas. He was always quickly responsive as well. Perfect for a stay in Charlottesville- thanks Henry!

It was really great for our family to get away for a few days over Thanksgiving! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the suite was cozy. Overall we enjoyed the flexibility of having a few different rooms, being able to cook (as much as we needed/wanted to), and the fact that the earth room doesn't have windows allowed us to sleep in late. As far as amenities, the tub pretty amazing. I also really enjoyed peeking at some of the crafting books on the bookshelves - the cowgirl room in particular has a workshop feel that I enjoyed! Really grateful we were able to go on this trip - thank you!

Absolutely perfect place. In town for a concert and celebrate our anniversary. This place had everything described plus so many thoughtful extras.

This is a very comfortable, clean, and beautiful place. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. I especially loved the second floor, on nice days, I really enjoyed the sunlight there. The large windows offer a great view of the outdoors. The hosts are very friendly and provided detailed instructions for everything along with restaurant recommendations. They were very responsive and quick to answer any questions, which made everything so easy. Their warmth and kindness created such a welcoming atmosphere, and they paid attention to every little detail to ensure a comfortable stay. I truly enjoyed my time here. I would have loved to extend my stay, but unfortunately, the place was already booked for the following days. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

This was my second time visiting and my stay was even better than the last time! The hosts were great at communicating and very flexible about check in time. The unit is close to so many fun places to explore! And not too far from other towns with even more shops and activities. Can’t recommend this stay enough and I would love to stay again! Beautiful scenery. Lovely roads to walk up and down. We were too cold for the pool, but got plenty of use out of the fire pit. We enjoyed ourselves. There were a couple kinks along the way, but the host always responded when we reached out and addressed our concerns right away.

Great location close to the arena. Much better than having to drive home 2 hours at midnight. Saw deer and a chipmunk in the yard so that was cool. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Cook’s Cabin was perfect! A beautiful home with absolutely everything you need to relax near Charlottesville! So refreshing to have a fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms! Even s’mores makings which of course the kids loved! So comfortable and peaceful - and close to all the attractions in the area. Highly recommend! We loved it!

Words cannot describe the feeling of pure calm that comes over you when you arrive. This place is truly a treasure hidden in the woods. Once you cross the creek you leave the world and all your cares behind. The host pays attention to all the little details and it shows. We have stayed at quite a few places but this one is on our return list. We look forward to sliding up for a long weekend in the late fall or early winter. (Tip- be sure to spend 15 min reading the welcome package it is time well spent).

Michael’s cabin was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway for Father’s Day. Extremely private. Beautiful scenery, and the cabin was perfect and cozy and clean. We couldn’t have asked for anything else! The pups enjoyed their stay as well!

What a gem! This is our favorite home away from home to date. Shana's place was immaculate, beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. A beautiful log cabin nestled in the trees with all the modern amenities. The beds were super comfortable with top of the line linens which felt super comfy. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and cookware you could imagine and even coffee grounds so we could brew a fresh pot of coffee each morning. We played a few rounds of basketball and Ms Pac-Man in the basement just because we could and it's fun! Bonus is the vineyard a half mile up the street and walkable which was super fun on a beautiful weekend. The home was a 25 minute drive to Charlottesville restaurants which was really convenient. We had an amazing stay and hope to book again in the future. I wish all homes felt as inviting as Shana's.

The house is beautiful with giant windows looking out on the woods and river. The layout of the house was perfect for two couples with a wonderful common area and private bedrooms and bathrooms. The location is amazing and beautiful and we loved everything about our stay. We had a great stay and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

It rained the entire stay. While we had expected better weather, you cannot beat the windows and the sound of the rain on the roof, for a great getaway atmosphere. We loved it.

Great little place! 20 min drive to entrance to Shenandoah National Park. We used the fire pit every night, but still had a luxurious shower and smart TVs to use :) loved it
