Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Honshu

We had the best night stay at this B n B in a quiet area surrounded by a beautiful Japanese garden and neighbourhood rice fields. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and supplied everything we needed and more than expected. We only stayed for 1 night but would have loved to have stayed for more. In the morning our hosts cooked us a big breakfast and made us a big pot of their coffee. If you want to stay somewhere wholesome and provided with a Japanese house and family stay, this is the one to pick! Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Nami’s house, especially with the view of Mount Fuji right outside the windows. Nami was very responsive and friendly. We’d recommend this house for future guests.

On the last night of our trip in Takamatsu, we stayed in a rural area at a family-run B&B.The ○ room is decorated with a variety of objects, a refined garden, Japanese fireworks, starry sky, ice cream, snacks, various drinks and wine... and soft tatami mats (_ _). So we wrote a long letter to the host (although it was machine-translated, the happiness of🥺 traveling in Japan really comes from interacting with people, scenic spots and food that don't rip you off, adorable merchandise, and exquisite scenery) Thank you very much for providing accommodation.We are very happy to have ended our 9-day trip in Japan in such a lovely home.The garden and the room were very beautiful, and the puppy was super cute.Everyone was very kind, and the fireworks the aunt gave me were very enjoyable, and the Japanese breakfast had a wide variety of items, and the view from the house was very beautiful!It was just a one-night stay, but we witnessed a dream-like life and were constantly exclaiming, "I want to have a life like this someday."If I have the opportunity in the future, I would like to stay longer again! Fransico is a very friendly host and guided us through during the check-in process. The house is located at a quiet place in the middle between Karuizawa and Kusatsu. The house is well furnished and clean and equipped with all necessary tools for a barbecue. We had a memorable barbecue night there.

Thank you, Yumiko and Kitamura! Their white house is particularly beautiful, and you can see the sea from the window, which always amazes me. They cleaned the room spotlessly, and the house smelled faintly of essential oils, which I found very comfortable. They are friendly and will pick me up at the bus stop.Very careful when introducing the house, really appreciate it! Because this is a house on the hillside, it is far from restaurants and convenience stores, so guests are advised to bring their own ingredients to cook ~ this is also a great experience! I'll be back here next time (* ^ ^ *)

Koto’s place is very cosy and walkable to all the Takayama main sights. Tea room with garden was a cool touch. Host allowed us to park until 2pm after checkout.

We had a great stay at Taka-san's lovely house. It feels like home and the room is incredibly clean and convenient. Taka-san provides very detailed information about the sites around and also the shopping and dining places. We love Ito and the Futo area so much! Highly recommended to everyone who plans to go there. If you have kids, this place would be just perfect. Plus, the view is great! (a very friendly resident told us to be careful with the monkeys, very lovely neighborhood)And we met a wild monkey!

Walking distance to many spots. Good food all around and the place is very clean and easy to find. Google maps let us to the wrong side of the building originally and the host helped us find the door which was just in the other side!

This was my second time staying at StayFab’s apartment in Shimokita and just like the first time we loved it. We appreciate the apartments proximity to the train station, shopping and restaurants. The apartment is an ideal size for a family traveling with kids. David is a great host and a great communicator.

This was the best host I have EVER stayed with. Picked me up from the station and brought me home. Drove me back after check out. Had free bike rentals. All this saved me money, time, and hassle. Then during the day I got a flat tire on the bicycle and he came and picked me up! Asked if I was okay and gave me another bicycle. I was thinking he would be upset I messed up the bike. Went above and beyond in every aspect and was the best host you could ask for. Very kind and non transactional with his help. 100 out of 10 stars.

We had a nice stay at Layla's place. It is a big place definintely worth the price. We'll definitely book this place again.

We had a pleasant stay in Kyoto. The place was photo compliant, clean and in a good location. The instruction to retrieve the keys deserves to be clarified (it was indicated to turn one way, when we had to do the opposite), but fortunately, a very nice person at the reception helped us. After we left, I thought I had left an item in the apartment: the host was very responsive and helped me quickly, which I enjoyed very much. Thank you again!

5 stars all round, authentic restaraunts walking distance from the apartment, spacious place, parking on the ground floor, walk to the museums, castle, temple, shopping arcade. Enjoy a good meal, drink sake and walk home. Good washing machine. I would like to have had darker curtains to keep the morning light out, that would make it 6 stars. I recommend staying here, thankyou Mineo.

Place is so good, very clean building. Easy to access metro/subway and minutes walk to many places in Osaka. Highly recommended and Layla is always responsive to answer. 🙏

Lovely place. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Host was flexible with my check in time as I wasn’t sure what time I arrived til I got on the train. As it was raining on the day I left, host was kind enough to offer to drive me to train station as well as work out the train timetable for me. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience.

amazing place to stay

Layla was responsive to our questions. Place was clean and everything what was listed. Bed was spacious for 2 adults and 2 children. Location was impressive - it was walkable to everywhere! Highly recommended especially Muslims as we discovered that there are 3 Halal restaurants that are just less than 5 mins walk! Would love to stay here again if we’re back in Osaka!

It's easy to find, just the right distance from the subway, and the Namba business district is great to visit

We had a lovely stay at Shunki’s place! Everything was clean and spacious with easy check in and out instructions. The location was convenient to the train station and we had multiple convenient stores and shops for our every day needs. We were welcomed with a box of treats when we arrived and it was super sweet! Highly recommend :)

This apartment is spacious, comfortable and very clean. The location is excellent, as other reviewers have mentioned. A couple of points to note, which are not clear in the listing. There are two beds in one bedroom and no bed in the other bedroom area. Consequently, getting in and out of bed can be a bit awkward. Also, the TV only has Japanese programs. I'd recommend this apartment to any couple visiting Kobe for a few days.

It is about 5 minutes walk from Changgu Station, very convenient, there is a convenience store less than 100 meters away, and across the road is the Yubi Coast, the location is good, you can go down to the beach to see the sea at any time in the morning and evening.The house is spacious, the living room has a sea view, the bathroom also has a window to see the sea view, listening to the sound of the waves while bathing is simply amazing, the experience is very good

This is a cute and quiet little basement apartment in Shinjuku, near all of the attractions of the city while separated from the noise and bustle of main streets. Enjoy your stay!
