Cozy cottage in Gaustablikk

Fantastic view of Gaustatoppen. The unique thing about this cabin is that it is not located in a cabin area, there is nature and tranquility and birds singing as the closest neighbors. The cross-country trails start right at the parking lot, and from there it is about 300 meters to the alpine facility. Note: It is a distance to walk from the parking lot up to the cabin, 150 meters in the summer/250 meters in the winter, it is steep the first part, so it does NOT fit if you have bad legs. Approx. 1.5 km to Gaustablikk mountain hotel.

Included: Bed linen, towels, electricity and laundry. Lita cottage located on a farm with a wonderful view of the lake Totak and the mountains. We live in one of the houses in the yard. Another house has two apartments rented out on AIRBNB.("Rofshus" and "Rofshus 2") In the summertime, there is access to a table, chairs and barbecue outdoors. Rauland has 140 km of uphill ski slopes, 5 min by car. 10 min to the ski center. 5 min by car to Rauland city center with shops and electric car charger. Great hiking terrain summer/fall.

Fantastic location with direct access to the alpine and cross country trails. View of Gaustatoppen (1883 m.o.h) and the Rjukan Valley. Great hiking terrain, several fishing waters nearby, short way to Gausta Railway to get to Gaustatoppen. The Krosso track is located at the end of Rjukandalen and here starts Hardangervidda with many great bike paths. The cabin is suitable for families who want a mountain hike with cabin coziness. It is rented to adults over the age of 25 who treat the cabin as their own. No partying allowed.

Newer cabin with a great view and nice hiking opportunities

Eel cabin listed in 2017 in Øygarden hut field. There is a small hut field with good distance between the huts and you have great hiking opportunities just outside the door. Cabin has 3 bedrooms. There is room for 7, but is best suited for couples or families with children. There is a personal touch on the cabin as it is often used by us as well, so there will be basic items in the kitchen cabinet and there may be items in the refrigerator with durability. Use whatever you need during your stay.

In the summer there are countless hiking opportunities and if you are interested in fishing there are many good options in the area. Gaustatoppen is a very popular hike and is nearby.
