The house is located less than 1 hour's drive to: Bø with summerland and climbing park Kongsberg with Silver Mines and Alpine Center/Ski Center Rjukan with world heritage, water park, climbing park and Gaustablikk with alpine and cross-country skiing Gaustatoppen, Lifjell and Blefjell To Notodden with Blues Festival, Stavkirka, Telemark Gallery and the World Heritage it is about 30 min drive. You just have to pick and choose from experiences and trips or enjoy quiet days and the good life in the countryside.

Idyllic spot by Lake Tinnsjøen near Rjukan

The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Old house/seter house from 1850 in scenic surroundings

Cozy firehouse/bakery from 1850. The cabin has been converted into an annex/small cabin with one room with a double bed. Dining area inside. Outdoor kitchen with fridge and gas hob. BBQ. Bathroom in the next door building. Duvet and pillow are in the cabin. Bedding must be ordered additionally for 150 per person. There is only a short distance to the mountains, Tinnsjøen, bike rides, and hikes in the nearby area. During summertime you can swim and fish in the river just below. The tourist municipality offers varied experiences and activities for everyone.

At 920 meters above sea level, you will have a fantastic view of Gaustatoppen, peaceful surroundings, and very good sun conditions from morning to evening. A short distance to Snaufjellet, great hiking opportunities, fishing, swimming, and cross-country skiing, as well as mountain farm life at Håvardsrud and the cultural heritage of Rjukan, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gaustablikk Skisenter is 50 km from the cabin. The cabin is well suited for families and guests who want tranquility, nature, views and great experiences all year round.

Here you can stay close to one of Norway's largest alpine resorts (Gaustablikk) and experience mountain hikes, golf course, water park, riding center, historical experiences, museum, shopping in Rjukan. The house overlooks one of Norway's most beautiful mountain peaks (Gaustadtoppen) and a nice waterfall in the spring. The house has good room solutions over three floors with family bunk beds in the bedrooms. Cook good food in our large kitchen and have fun in our activity room with exercise equipment and games. On the loft you have the opportunity to adjust beds as needed. You will find most of what you need for a relaxing trip to the mountains. Large window surfaces, where you can enjoy Gausta's "wild" nature. Ski in/out right outside the door, short distance to cross-country ski trails. Nearby you will find restaurants and bars.

The cabin is newly built in 2023, luxurious, fully equipped, with WiFi included. Bedding&towels can be rented for €20 per person.
