Stylish eco cabin for 2 in peaceful rural setting

JillRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The perfect rural setting for 2 people. At first, the area takes your breath away and then it allows you to relax. The Green House is well thought out and has everything you need for your stay. It is delightful to sit on the patio watching the chickens and sheep or listen to the rain. Lots of hiking in the area and sporting clays are also nearby. The local pub is open for dinner every night and lunch on weekends. You are on your own for breakfast

Greenhill Garden Studio

FionaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely peaceful location, 20 minutes walk to centre and plenty of green parkland on the doorstep. Amanda gave us good advice re parking before we arrived and how to access accommodation. Clear information pack in the property, and even changed our quilt to a lighter tog due to wonderfully sunny warm weather. Lots to do and see in Edinburgh, we were busy every day so nice to come ‘home’ on an evening to calm comfort.

Beautifully Restored Vintage 1930s Threshers Hut

DaveRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a relaxing week long stay here and absolutely loved it. The hut is kitted out with everything we needed, and for those used to hit stays it is perfect. The bed is comfortable and therrs plenty of space. We were treated to amazing dawn & dusk choruses, as well as seeing various wildlife from the hut including hares, pheasants, chiff chaff & even house martins. The hosts are warm and friendly, and the cake on arrival was delicious! We're already looking forward to another visit!

Cabin In Luss at Lochlomond

TrudieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an amazing time in Alyson’s cabin. Even though the weather wasn’t kind, the view from the cabin makes up for it. Watching the weather change and the wonderful rainbows-amazing. Luss is a quaint, popular little village. So lovely when all the coach trips go home and you can explore on your own . There are a few places to eat and drink in Luss, the Loch Lomond hotel was lovely. We had a great walk up Ben Dubh, which is just behind Luss and also visited Conic Hill for an easier hike. The village walks are really pleasant too. The cabin had everything needed for a short stay, it was clean and well equipped. We would definitely recommend.

Surrounded by sheep and nature at the end of the world, incredible peace and quiet. Starting point for sightseeing and hiking tours. If you like that, you're in good hands there. I wouldn't dare to light the small fireplace.

Charming stone Bothy at Loch Lomond

AnnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
First timers in Scotland. Fiona’s Bothy was so quintessentially Scottish and so cozy. It evoked the private remote stone sanctuary we have dreamed of. A patterns of rain on the roof our first night led to beautiful deep sleep for both. There’s a fine farm stand down the A82 so we cooked delicious breakfast before climbing Conic Hill in Balhama - it rained a wee bit at the top - so our visit was perfect! Thank you Fiona. Your hospitality is the best and you’ve given us fine memories for our 35th anniversary.

Starling’s Rest Tiny Home, Ednam, Scottish Borders

MatthewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Amelia’s tiny home was so beautiful and well laid out! We loved the private garden and chiminea too. We felt like we were right in Mr. McGregor’s garden with Peter Rabbit. The milk, cereal, biscuits, coffee, champagne, ciders, and tea were such a thoughtful touch as well. We would definitely recommend booking a stay here…especially if you want to enjoy a private outdoor space.

Hidden gem. Cosy Shepherds Hut in idyllic farmland

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the best time staying in Shep - such quirky accommodation, with everything you could need. The kids especially loved the raised sleeping area and bathroom set up! The views were spectacular, it was so peaceful and we just felt really relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed BBQing with the Eildon Hills for a view. Chris and family were super welcoming and we really enjoyed exploring the farm. Thanks for having us - we can’t wait to visit again!

BejalRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Such a beautiful stay at the little cabin - Stephen and Bridget were great, communicative hosts. The walk down to the loch from the cabin was so beautiful - a perfect swim spot! Lots of very thoughtful touches in the cabin and gorgeous views - hopefully we can make it back again when there’s less rain!!

Idyllic Self Catering Studio Semi Rural Location

NeilRating, 5 starstoday
The Wee Hoose was charming and inviting and the patio was divine with a gorgeous view. Jan and a Peter were very helpful, which added to our most enjoyable stay. The local river walk, both North and South, was peaceful and bird filled with a good mix of locals and their dogs to chat with along the way. It was an easy walk to town where there's a good selection of restaurants and pubs. We highly recommend the Wee Hoose if ever you come to Moffat.

Delightful shepherd's hut at a Victorian station

JoanneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Deborah and Peter were responsible to questions and very flexible. They allowed us a BBQ and also advised we did not need to rush to check out. We were at a wedding evening do close by, and they made local recommendations for taxis. It is a beautiful and well maintained hut. Fresh coffee, milk and eggs provided. It was a bit bright in the morning so my husband couldn't sleep in (doesn't bother me!) but otherwise all fantastic. Very responsive and welcoming, but also left to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Would return and definitely recommend.

Gorgeous cosy cabin with magical river garden

ThomasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Sharon's charming, wee cabin was such a delight! From the cozy interior complete with everything we might need to the outdoor patio nestled right next to a fast moving river, it was delightful. The first night we sat out on the patio with cocktails and snacks and took in the beauty of the area. Simply stunning! We had rented the cabin for three nights and on the second night my husband, Tom, had a heart event. Sharon quickly called for an ambulance and stayed with us until after the EMT's arrived to take us to a hospital 30 miles away. We were to check out the next day, but she offered for us to stay the next two nights if needed. Then when Tom and I decided to fly back to the states to have the needed heart procedures, she and her husband, Ian, spent an entire afternoon helping us to arrange taxis, air flights and other logistics. They both went far and above what would ever be expected of hosts. Our gratitude for their kindness and hospitality runs deep. Thanks Sharon and Ian!

Dunty's Lodge @ Corncockle Estate

Rosa MayRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at James and Sarah’s cabin. The surroundings were beautiful and it felt like a very private space despite being close to the main house. Everything in the cabin works great, comfortable bed, and there is everything you need to cook with. Expect to meet Coal and Carrot, two very friendly cats! Overall a great stay and very reasonable price. I’d recommend paying for the hot tub pre-lighting service as it took a very long time for us to heat it ourselves.

The Bothy - your unique luxury refuge

HollyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A beautiful place for a stop off in St Fillians, I cannot recommend The Bothy enough. It is presented beautifully with all the amenities needed and in such a great spot! If you need a place to stay in this area you should strongly consider here! Pamela, the host, is very responsive, friendly and even went above and beyond with a little treat for my partners birthday. The homemade bread is a lovely touch too! Thank you to Pamela (and Gordon) for the stay and if we are ever back in the area we will be back! X

Magical memories have fun!

MariumRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s cosy holiday caravan! From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home. The caravan was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A special thank you to Mary for being such an attentive and thoughtful host—especially for quickly refilling the gas cylinders when needed. It made such a difference and showed how much she genuinely cares about her guests’ comfort. Mary, you’re the best host we’ve ever had 😀, and we’d absolutely love to visit again. Highly recommended! Cheers Marium

The Nest, Garabhan Forest, Loch Lomond

SamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Idyllic location with great views of the surrounding landscape, loch and animals including deer. The nest was perfectly sized for the two of us and was nice and cosy. We were lucky and had glorious weather so made use of the veranda to sit out and read our books. We cooked every night in the kitchen and it was adequately stocked for what we needed. We would definitely return and were sad to leave. Thanks for a great stay!

Cosy lodge, near Killin & Lawers, Loch Tay

RikkiRating, 5 starstoday
What an absolutely beautiful lodge Julian and Jarno have created. As soon as we walked in, we decided that we definitely wanted them to come and do the interior design for our home for us. It also has every amenity you could think of and then some more! The view out to the loch is the best view we've ever had, with the added benefit of so much wildlife. The welcome gifts were gorgeous and extremely thoughtful. We'd planned loads of things to do in the area but we needn't have bothered because the guide provided was the best I've ever seen by far. Fabulous detail and so personalised with genuine opinions clearly from real experiences. All our favourite things we did on our trip were recommended by Julian and Jarno and we were so sad not to be able to do more of them. We'll definitely be planning a repeat longer visit to do those we missed this time and to spend more time in the lodge itself- it's such a beautiful space, it's hard to go out and leave it! Extremely highly recommended.
