We loved our stay! The location was so peaceful and had everything we could have wanted for a quiet weekend away. Alex called as soon as we had arrived to make sure everything was as it should be and answer any questions we may have had. He even gave us a head's up about the moose who liked to wander right through the yard of the cottage! We would absolutely recommend Alex's place to anyone who was looking for a peaceful weekend in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this sweet rustic cabin to catch up with an old friend, and it was an experience to remember. Nestled near the maskinongé river, the cabin offered the perfect blend of tranquility and charm with its warmly lit outdoor seating area and hot tub, which was undoubtedly a highlight of our stay. Soaking in the warm water while gazing at the stars made for a nice appreciation of the present moment. The cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped, featuring a teleprompter. Going through old DVDs and using the screen was a blast. The many vintage architecture magazines scattered around the cabin also made for interesting reads, and really added to the warm feel of the place. Overall, this cabin is a gem for anyone looking to unwind and disconnect to enjoy nature's beauty. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at Walter’s place. It really is as serene as the photos make it seem! We were travelling with our three young kids. The house was well stocked with any gear we’d need for them including toys.

Had a great stay at Eric’s place! He was very proactive in making sure everything was ok and we had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. He was quick to respond to any questions we had as well. The location was great and had a great cottage feel but was super close to all amenities in Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone!

Prunella No.4 A-frame cabin is a gem. Nancy and Catherine are amazing hosts - they provided everything we needed to feel at home. They even had all the amenities for our pup, including a dog bed and bowls, which was a thoughtful touch. Their attention to detail, from the property, to the decor and lights inside and outside the cabin, the dock and everything at the lake, was perfect and made our stay a 5 star experience. We loved exploring the trails and taking the kayak and paddleboard out. We look forward to going back already.

We loved our mini getaway! We had everything we needed and more! Sleeping was a dream. Comfy bed (and cozy couch!) Chilled by the fire…. Wandered the road…. Peaceful vibes. This is such a lovely place to just come and relax. it is a well-appointed house with a lovely bathroom. The hot tub was perfect hot private and relaxing. The kitchen was well-appointed. I will be booking this place in the future.

This is the 5th year we have rented Stefano's cottage. I am hard-pressed to find anything negative to say. The cottage is spectacularly beautiful, inside and out. The architecture is decidedly modern, but clearly fits in the surroundings of trees and the lake. Inside it is very cozy with neutral colours and great for either relaxing with a book and a coffee (or a bottle of wine!), a games night or an outdoor BBQ after a swim, a paddle or a hike. It is superbly quiet and a perfect place to get away from it all, yet keep the creature comforts, grocer a short drive; walking trails nearby, lakes are everywhere and the autumn leaves are nothing short of spectacular. Stefano is very accommodating in terms of providing information or answering questions, if any. We love the place so much I am hesitating to give it such a good review for fear of lots of people discovering it - I want to keep it my own hidden gem. But Stefano deserves an excellent review. Thank you Stefano, as always.

Very cozy cabin. Has everything you could need, all what you have to bring is your clothings. We even had the chance to taste their homemade maple syrup! Close enough to Bancroft but still tranquil, nobody can access the cabin but you. We saw people stopping by on the otherside of the lake but it feels OK and not invading, it is far enough to not care. Wildlife was abundant. We did not have much mosquitoes or annoying bugs outside and literally none inside. We went there as a couple with a dog and, once used to the space the cabin offers, did not feel squeezed, although it is not huge. Hosts were very kind and responsive. If you like small, serene and cozy places, this is a must try.

We stayed at Laura's cabin on our honeymoon and it was amazing! We love the outdoors and if the weather has cooperated we would have taken the kayaks out onto the lake. If your looking for a quick quiet getaway close to Gravenhurst with all the amenities of cottage county, this is your place to stay! The cabin was clean, stocked with all your kitchen essentials you will need.

Kelly is a great host as he made us feel at home. He was very responsive and got us what we needed within a few minutes. The location is great and hot tub is a bonus. We will return in the future. Overall great stay and experience.

This place is awesome for a break from the hustle and bustle! Close to town but when you’re there it feels like you’ve stepped back in time. Chad was responsive and very helpful when we had a technical issue that became easy to resolve. I’d recommend to anyone on the fence, this is it!

Amazing property with beautiful trails and routes to explore. It was great to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature and ourselves. Our dog, 12, absolutely adored the big deck and the pond/creek with the ducks as well as his adventures throughout the day. We're already planning our visit back :)

Such a lovely getaway spot, feels away from it all but isn’t too far from groceries or a hiking trail. Dogs welcome which was much appreciated by our pup who also enjoyed her stay!

We stayed at cabin #1 during October 11-13 weekend. We loved this place. Very clean, cute cabin, worth the price. Amy was very quick to respond. There are kayaks, canoes to use, firepit, bbq grill. We had awesome experience. I am looking forward to book it again. I highly recommend this place for with kids trip. There is beautiful playground by the beach.

Great place, wonderfull chalet, wanted to stay longer

The perfect getaway for a couple or small group of friends! Everything was very well updated and the hot tub and sauna was very relaxing. They provided a timely response when needed and were very easy to book with. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Eco Stay – Highly Recommend! This eco home was the perfect retreat. Clean, modern design with all the amenities—comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, strong Wi-Fi, and a serene natural setting. The space was spotless and thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind. The host was incredibly responsive and provided clear instructions, making check-in seamless. It was peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Very peaceful and relaxing

Tracey’s brand new tiny house is big on amenities and comfort. Nestled in the woods with huge windows looking out onto treetops, this peaceful home is a sanctuary for writers, bird enthusiasts, solo travellers, couples, and those looking for something unique in a quiet rural area. In a 7-minute period, I picked up 23 birds on Merlin, and was greeted by yellow warblers in the nearby shrubs as I walked around. A young rabbit grazed every evening near the house. Tracey is welcoming and quick to respond to queries, and she has thought of so many details. There is a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed in a cozy room with attached balcony- a great selection of reading material, puzzles, amazing art everywhere you look. Finding enough reading lights or places to curl up with a book in a rental is a challenge sometimes. Not here, as Tracey has created spaces that beckon you to relax. We highly recommend this spotless, private, modern retreat for your next getaway!

Small romantic weekend, peaceful and welcoming place. We took advantage of the raclette oven and the fondue stove. It was perfect for the cool and rainy weekend. We'll be back.

Stunning area, amazing location, and fantastic amenities. Very well thought out layout. Going from the hot tub to the sauna was so good after a long day of 4wheeling.
