Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in York

Great place to stay, unfortunately couldn't fully enjoy the room as only booked to attend a festival happening in city. So was more of a bed for the night, but space was very large, open and clean, and would stay again if going to city for a normal trip.

We had a lovely few days at The Sands, lovely apartment, it had everything you would need, amazing views and fantastic location.

Jordan was a terrific host, he helped us with our late check in and assisted with all our queries. The apartment was exactly as described, and a great spot close to town. Highly recommend!

Spotlessly clean and a great place to come back to after a day in York. 15 minute walk to Monkgate but another 5 minutes to York Minster. Bed was comfortable and although we didn’t cook, kitchen was fully equipped. Wi-fi was hit and miss, luckily we didn’t need it for work. Very quiet area, would recommend.

An awesome 3 months. There is something so relaxing and comfortable about staying in a well organized and decorated apartment. This had it all plus a guitar. Clutch. Super hosts. Aaron and Stephen became like friends. Location is walkable and bus-able. Everything needed plus a gym is within a 17 minute walk. Super cool nature by the canal with a golf courses is across the street. 15 minute bus to downtown Leeds. Plus Leeds is central to all the northern England sightseeing. Highly recommend.

Stayed here a few times now and will definitely come back again.

Great property in a perfect location

we booked in with stephanie very last minute, and couldn’t of asked for better! we checked in early, and also booked an extra night which was all so easy to do. we had our two girls with us and the dog and they was all so excited when we went through the door. their favourite bit was looking out the living room window to look at the sea. would definitely book this place again

We were with the grandchildren for 3 nights. The apartment was so handy to get into Scarborough. We went down the lift and arrived at the spa. Then there were a couple of cafes

Sophia made contact straight away with further details after the booking had been confirmed. When we arrived, we tried searching for dog friendly pubs on the internet but didn’t know how reliable it was and with it being a Friday night, we didn’t want to go to a pub that was full of party revellers or that wasn’t dog friendly, so I messaged Sophia and she promptly replied with some recommendations. As for the flat, it is lovely. Just what we needed. And with the bonus of a parking space directly outside on the property. Also, when we arrived, so many homely extras were provided, like tea, coffee, some snacks, cakes, a bunch of fresh daffs in a vase, etc. it felt like the extra mile had been sought to make sure we were made welcome. Highly recommended :)

Great place and great value! Location was perfect just a short walk into the centre Only issues was lack of parking (booked into the Asda car park nearby as suggested by the host ) Was a little noisy with the traffic but can’t be helped! Would definitely stay here again

My colleagues have stayed at this property before. Little difficult to find, it would be ideal for a What3Words to be issued with the check in details. But they enjoyed their stay again, and would stay again should we be in the area. Communication from host was good.

I had an amazing stay at Rukaya’s, the property was so beautiful and peaceful. The host is very friendly and kind, I would like to recommend her property as it was a perfect stay for larger group of people and we had a great time!

A group of friends for all over the UK needed a base for a concert at the Spa and everyone thought it was fabulous and had a wonderful stay. The Scarborough spring weather was a real bonus and people will be going home to tell friends how beautiful the Yorkshire coastline is and there is so much to do. Good parking and great selection of rooms. Excellent hosts that were welcoming and so helpful

Steve was so helpful with our booking. We’d been let down last minute so it was a frantic search for suitable accomodation in the same area. Steve very kindly allowed a late check out which was very much appreciated. The property is large and spacious with everything you need for a hassle free stay.

Overall, my family liked staying here. The location is great, and I think it's a good value for the size and area. It was fairly clean as far as airbnbs go, but the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we got there and the outdoor bins were full which meant that we had to take some of the rubbish with us when we left. Also, it is important to know that some of the amenities listed were not actually available to us. There was no dedicated workspace, grates of the barbecue were rusted through and therefore unusable, and we were asked to not use the tumble dryer and use the drying rack instead. However, once I messaged the owner because our clothes were not drying on the drying rack, she did say we could use the tumble dryer.
